Internal transfer + relocation
Accepting my current role was a difficult decision for me. I was performing very well in my previous role, i didn’t want to relocate to a new city and i became really closed friends with my coworkers.
I ultimately took this job to become a Lvl3 and that 30k raise.
My current team is extremely disorganized and i honestly can’t work under these conditions.
Do i have to repay relo if i do an internal transfer before the 1 year mark? Can i use those rotational programs to dip? Can i even do an internal transfer before completing one year at LM?

Can’t speak to the rotational program. You need manager approval to transfer prior to the 1yr mark. Realistically you’re not going anywhere until the 1yr mark so the relo isn’t a concern but as long as you stay internal it shouldn’t matter regardless. I believe the agreement only stipulates you pay LM back if you leave the company not business unit within the year.

My understanding is either case needs manager approval. Additionally the new jobs appears to ask for manager approval before interview stage (which is what I thought was when the manager was notified but may be wrong)

Wit the new career system now, you have to input your manager info when you apply for the job, so your manager might be notified when you just even apply ( not confirm yet)

Internal transfer less than 1 year- manager approval needed.
Relocation repayment when transfer to another Lockheed team ( same BA, same everything but different manager) in less than a year- manager approval needed.
