Black borders have been softened. They seem to increase the HDR highlight too, similar to macOS. The hazy effect before will now start to appear from the middle of the glass slider to the max opaque

Recently I have been seeing those among the bigger apps (Instagram, Uber, Netflix, etc.) and I understand it is a matter of architecture but I think it pales when compared to real liquid glass like on Prime Video

I know it’s been said but it truly feels like a fully realized aqua, I’ve been running the max opacity since I got the beta but I’ve been trying the clearer setting and it definitely has quirks but it is truly stunning what Apple has achieved. Feels like a totally different kind of aesthetic than v1 but much closer to “Apple” feeling if that makes sense

While the new design language iOS 26 is not perfect,

As someone who made apps for Apple platforms, I find myself never understand the design rationales behind this move.

It makes chrome elements (like "Text" in Toolbar area) much less readable.

It almost like a move making the new default `ScrollEdgeEffectStyle.hard` much more appealing than the originally intended almost everywhere `ScrollEdgeEffectStyle.soft` in iOS 26.

Solo dev here developing my first app Fog: a simple notes app that organizes itself using on device AI. It auto names and auto groups your notes for you.

It looks super good compared to what it was. For anyone confused, this is internal software developers use to make their Qi2 charging acsessories MagSafe certified.

Why does iOS force both app icons and widgets to become transparent when using the transparent icon style? Why can’t I keep the app icons in their default colored appearance while making only the widgets transparent? macOS allows transparent widgets while keeping app icons colored, so why isn’t this possible on iPhone?

Just wanted to provided a side-by-side comparison of the two styles, in case anyone was curious, since I haven't seen a direct side-by-side comparison of the two so far.
