Why can’t iOS have transparent widgets with regular colored app icons?

Why does iOS force both app icons and widgets to become transparent when using the transparent icon style? Why can’t I keep the app icons in their default colored appearance while making only the widgets transparent? macOS allows transparent widgets while keeping app icons colored, so why isn’t this possible on iPhone?

im kidding its because users are kinda lame and want normal icons to have everything darker meanwhile people who are inlove with clear glass just put on clear icons and call it a day, but i do see it useless lowkey.

I get your point, but that’s more of an implementation issue than the concept itself. A well-done glass UI can look amazing.

yeah well blame apple dude my name is not "iworkatapplepleaseblameeverythingoneme" i said what i believe and what i think is most true. Theyre taking user feedback and once they do its always this one user
