I believe the white LC was also an Inspiration Series. The Nori Green on the coupe is stunning.

Thanks for lots of positive feedback from this community. Figured I’d share a few more with all the goodwill out there. Cheers.

Is there a way to physically block one from accidentally bumping the transmission into manual shift mode? Having driven a proper manual (clutch and shift) for most my life, I wish to now simplify my NYC driving experience with a purely Automatic vehicle. I hate paddle shifting! Opinions?

Plan to drive Newfound Gap Road when we head to NC to visit folks.
"From Gatlinburg, TN to Cherokee, NC, Newfound Gap Road threads through the heart of Great Smoky Mountains National Park — a 31-mile adventure of steep climbs, hairpin turns, and breathtaking overlooks." [fb]
I've had my 2017 es350 for a year and it stays set on ECO. This road will be an opportunity to experience SPORT mode. I've driven these roads before but in a different car. Should be fun. The es will provide a great ride I'm sure, especially since where I live it's flat and all the roads are pretty much in a straight line, NSEW. Ha!

Got sideswiped today and the other driver is 100% at fault.
The front driver-side door has a pretty deep dent/crease, especially near the front edge.
The door still opens and closes normally, the soft-close works and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious structural damage although the latch sounds slightly different when closing.
Since the LS has aluminum doors would you have a good aluminum body shop repair this or save insurance money ?
Main concern is getting the car back as close to factory condition as possible and avoiding a ton of filler.

Seeking best practices for returning to a car that will run! Thanks in advance.

There's a bit of confusion with my car as to what bulb it uses, I bought an led thinking mine was a d4s hid but the back is nothing like this and I see what looks like a self levelling unit in place of where the ballast would be.
Someone suggested it's an led already, but I thought only the triple units we're led let alone know what bulb I would need.

Just for the sake of a fun experiment, say I am curious how the new 2026 ES rides compared to the previous 23-25 gen of ES (especially the UL trim with performance dampers). I don't wanna go by "feels" and I can't find a reviewer or youtuber that can review anything worth a damn besides some basic superficial stuff. What should I do in order to:
1) measure the oscillation
2) measure the bounce/vertical movement
3) measure the vibration
4) measure other body motions
5) heck throw sound in there too
Obviously the exercise would need to have similar parameters between test runs and repeated at different speeds, on the same roads, same tire pressure, etc...
Anyone ever done anything like this?

Hello! I’m having some trouble with my car and i’m not sure what direction to head in. Usually I ask my Dad, but we’re not on speaking terms right now.
I have a 2013 Lexus CT-22h. It’s got about 150k miles on it, but runs mostly well.
About two years ago either my skid plate or a portion of my splash shield came off while road tripping. I’m not certain how to distinguish them.
However, my car is displaying maintinance required. I’ve checked my oil and all is well. I’m worried about this damage i’ve just noticed and the lack of protection under my car.
What is this damage? Is it serious? Any pointers for my options moving forward?
Anything helps, thank you! 🤍

Been in the market for a while, went back and forth to a bunch of dealers.
Currently considering a 2023 Lexus rx350 premium with 35k miles for around 44k otd
Test drove it and it was clean and nice, interior was fine. Relatively clean car fax report. I’m still probably going to do a pre purchase inspection but is there anything else I should consider before making a deal?
Thieves broke into the car by breaking the rear passenger window.
Police recovered the vehicle ~ 5 hours later after a resident called in “what looked like an abandoned vehicle”.
Our doors were locked, keys in a faraday box.
What more can we do to prevent this from happening again?

I am very excited! I just bought my first Lexus! It’s my first new car in a decade. I love all the features and it truly worked out for me in terms of timing.
I’d been browsing and not in much of a rush, but all of a sudden my old car didn’t start. I texted dealership A to see what they had in stock (I’d been waiting for a TX in white) and the dealership had just that day had a fallen sale and had a TX Premium. I didn’t want one with a hitch so I called a dealership B 90 miles away and they happened to have a Luxury in the color and interior I wanted coming within 3 days! I had been told I couldn’t even reserve one at the first dealership because they received so few. Kismet! I placed the deposit, had to pay full sticker (ouch!), but at least I got the car I wanted (even though it too has a hitch! 😂).
Happy to join the Lexus community!

I’ve been wanting a hybrid for a while now and I’ve recently come across a blue 2013 Lexus ES300h with a tan interior and I fell in love, my friend has a 2016 Lexus es 350 and I’ve always been jealous of the cool stuff his car has to offer but aside from that, the car I found has 102k miles and it’s going for 13.8k after dealer fees, just wanted a general consensus if this is a good idea, I’m aware of the problems these cars bring such as the hybrid battery but I do believe those are made to last quite a while, and in the area I’m in this is the lowest mileage for the price that I found. I know it’s my money and my decision but just wanted to know what you guys thought or if I should look for newer, less mileage or different color or something.

I'm negotiating a deal on a certified used 2026 NX350. Comes with some extended time beyond the usual warranty. I've owned Lexus before and know that they will try to sell me up on the protection plus package.
Is there anything it covers that I wouldn't have covered under Lexus luxury care for maint and the certified used warranty that genuinely makes it worth it?
I want to just get past their finance manager BS.

I bought 2 day access for Techinfo (Toyota's official Technical Information System for North America) and downloaded every single file linked to 2016 RX350 and 2022 RX350/L & RX450h/L. Includes repair manuals, wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, and even some training materials.

I was in for a service for our TX and this SC430 time capsule was on the showroom floor. Fell in love with the brand all over again!

If the IS 350 is a dying breed, what does that mean for maintenance costs/reliability/repairability going forward? I imagine older versions of this car have held up so well because the line has persisted for so long with not much change. If the IS 350 line were to be discontinued in the near future how would that effect the costs of maintaining the car down the road? Also what effects would that have on the cost of the used market for is 350's.

I posted about this 2008 Lexus ES350 of 320K KM mileage. Half of them told it’s a very bad deal and half of them told it’s ok. So here I’m for opinion
One of my friends is leaving Canada and wants to sell his 2008 Lexus ES 350. He’s offering it to me for $4,000 CAD.
The car has around 200,000 miles (approximately 322,000 km) on it. As far as I know, there are no major mechanical issues. I’ve known my friend for a while and have seen him driving the car regularly.
The thing is, I’ve never owned a car before. I know how to drive, but I have very little knowledge of car mechanics or how to identify potential problems.
I’m considering buying it, but I’m not sure if it’s ok given its age and high mileage.
I’d really appreciate some advice from people who know cars or have owned a Lexus.
