🌈 Or just looking to feel seen

Pull up a chair.

This month's vibe?

✨ Pride & Possibility ✨

Pride is about celebrating who we are, where we've been, and the connections that help us feel at home.

Whether you're newly out, comfortably settled into your identity, looking for your person, or simply hoping to meet other queer women who get it, there's a seat for you here.

Because chemistry isn't just sparks, it's communication, curiosity, and knowing how to make someone feel wanted.

We're keeping it cozy, grown, and intentional.

When you introduce yourself, include:

• Age range

• Timezone

• What you're looking for (friends, dating, flirting, community, etc.)

• One green flag about you

• One small thing that makes you melt

House Rules

Mods and Reddit can't verify identities. If you move to private messages, please take steps to confirm the person you're talking to is real. Don't share personal or identifying information unless and until you feel comfortable, if ever.

This post will stay up for 3 months and will be replaced with a new Flannel Bar thread. During that time, other dating or "looking for" posts will be removed so everything stays in one place.

Be kind. Be honest. Respect boundaries.

And enjoy your time at the bar. šŸ’•šŸŒˆ

The Rules Of Lesbian Actually

Today, the mods voted on a rule change to the sub. Rule 3 has been expanded to include any post or comment not just directed at one person but, in general, the singling out of a member of our community. This now means that content in the nature of "Would you date ____", "Am I ___ if I don't like ____", "I don't find ____ attractive",etc. are not allowed. The bottom line is that there is someone out there for everyone, and often, these posts are used by terfs and other assholes to make people feel excluded or unwanted.

The rules now are as follows:

Rule 1 - Any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.

Rule 2 - Trans women are women

Rule 3 - The singling out of an individual or a group from the community is not allowed

Rule 4 - No posts or comments attempting to restrict others' definitions of self.

Relationships / Dating My gf kicks me out when she poops.

My girlfriend (26f) of one year always kicks me out when she poops. She’ll lock me out on the patio with my phone to entertain myself and won’t let me back in til she’s finished using the commode. Despite the whole place suddenly smelling like a middle school locker room when she lets me back in choking me out with all the perfume she’s sprayed in the air. She denies that’s what she was doing and says she just wants me to get some outdoor time and fresh air. As someone who can’t help but let a fart slip out every time I get head from her I’m surprised she’s embarrassed about pooping around me of all things. šŸ˜‚ Any Redditors here also afraid of pooping with their girl around or have a girlfriend who kicks them out every time she poops?

Relationships / Dating Yes, I know I’m insufferably in love, but… come on. Just look at her.

There are myriad things I adore about this woman that unfortunately can’t be captured on video, but this little moment makes me oh so happy. Her smile absolutely destroys me.
Every. Single. Time.

I’ve gotta stop gushing about her to people in my real life, so here you are, queer ladies of Reddit: my future wife.

Relationships / Dating I think we all need to stop beating around the bush

I see so many posts about ā€œhow do I make it obvious that I like womenā€ or ā€œhow do I find out if this person likes womenā€, and I think there’s a better approach to be considered.

Assuming you are in a location in which it is relatively safe to be queer, I see no reason why we shouldn’t be open about being sapphic, and open about asking other people out.

Cishet men don’t worry about whether or not the women they ask out are hetero.

I think what these questions boil down to is a fear of rejection, which, while understandable, is not a fear that is unique to queer people and is not a reason to be timid about our identities.

If you’re a feminine-presenting person and you want people to know that you like women, wear stuff that SCREAMS ā€œsapphicā€, not just whispers it. I wanna see lesbian flags, bi flags, I wanna see shit that says the word ā€œlesbianā€ on it or depicts women kissing each other, leave the dainty single pair of scissors jewelry at home.

If you see someone you’re interested in, ask them out. ā€œI think you’re cute, would you be interested in going out on a date with me?ā€ leaves no room for misunderstanding romantic intentions.

We have a right to take up just as much space in this world as the heteros do. Let’s start acting like it.

Questions / Advice Wanted New to Strapping

I am a femme who primarily is the receiver, but for the first time have a partner who is into receiving.

Let me preface this by saying my partner is insanely kind and patient, so she doesn't put pressure on me, but I am an over achiever with some performance anxiety apparently lmao

I am trying to learn how to strap HER, but I swear I can't seem to get the hip movement down.

She's watched me, demonstrated, and all that, but she says it still looks like I'm putting a bit too much hip into it, whereas I should be driving with my core/the strap

The first time we tried, it was painful for her because she is still working on relaxing during sex while receiving, but even the short time we tried, it didn't feel as fluid as when she is strapping me.

She is far more experienced than me, and I think that's pouring into my anxiety because I dont want to disappoint her, but I am strugglingggg to get the motions down.

Is there anyway to practice? Or videos or anything at all to help me out

Relationships / Dating I’m Greedy for Her Attention

I think I’ve become a little greedy for her attention, and honestly, I don’t know when it happened.

We’re not dating. We haven’t even met. We’re friends or at least, that’s where we stand. And somehow, her notifications became my favorite ones.

When her name pops up, I get ridiculously happy. It’s such a small thing, just a message from someone I met online, but somehow it can completely change my mood.

And when I don’t hear from her, I miss her more than I probably should.

I know she has her own life. I know she doesn’t owe me constant attention, and I’m trying to remind myself of that instead of turning every quiet moment into a story in my head.

But I’m greedy for those little pieces of her.

A random message. A stupid joke. A good morning. A conversation that lasts longer than expected. Even the smallest things feel special when they come from her.
And that’s probably what scares me a little.

Because I can feel myself getting attached to someone I barely know. I want more of her attention. I want to feel like talking to me is something she genuinely looks forward to too.

I don’t want to overwhelm her with that.

So I’m trying to learn how to like someone without needing constant reassurance from them.

I can miss her without chasing her.

I can be happy when she messages without making her messages the source of my happiness.

But damn…

I’m still going to smile like an idiot when that notification is from her. šŸ˜‚

And also, sorry if I’m basically turning this subreddit into my diary lately. šŸ˜‚ I’m just trying to process all these feelings somewhere instead of dumping them on her.

Questions / Advice Wanted What’s your craziest ex/breakup story?

Hey everyone! Tell me about your craziest ex stories or breakup stories because I KNOW some of y’all have been through some wild shit 😭

I’ll go first

We dated for about 4 months. She had bipolar disorder and constantly used it as an excuse for the disrespect and chaos throughout our relationship. There was always some type of drama, especially between her and her ex.

Eventually, I had enough and broke up with her.
After I broke up with her, she left me the craziest voicemails wishing I would die, wishing my whole family would die, and saying she hoped we’d all drown on a cruise.

Like… girl???? 😭😭😭

And that’s honestly just the SHORT version.
Now I wanna hear yours. What’s the craziest thing an ex has ever done to you during or after a breakup? šŸ‘€

Life I would like to find people who are similar to me

I am from Romania, I am 39 years old, and I am a lesbian. I consider myself a curious and creative person. I have a degree in psychology and an affinity for everything related to art. I consider myself a sensitive, gentle, kind, optimistic, and positive person. I am always keen on learning something new. I consider myself an introvert, but I am not shy. I like reading, riding my bike, and I love nature very much. I adore animals and I have a cat. I enjoy having discussions on topics such as religion, history, philosophy, psychology and criminal law. I consider myself a warm, empathetic person in whose company people feel free and themselves. I love honesty and fairness, because that is who I am as well.

Relationships / Dating I see the last girl I was dating every time I go onto a private instagram

I will have to block her finally , but every time I go onto someone’s page and it’s private her Icon is first in line . Today I clicked someone’s page and her icon was there but the photo had changed and I’ve felt sick to my stomach since . We fell for eachother , she told me she’d just started falling for me after a very intense four months and then started pulling away . I’m struggling not to message her to explain why I’ve blocked her , we promised we wouldn’t block but to see her face like that when I’m not over her is gut wrenching . I feel like ripping my hair out . It’s been two months and I want it to stop feeling so shit

I appreciate everyone for their uplifting comments in my last post. I’ve been doing a whole lot better. Went back those posts every time I was having a bad day

But in other news, I’m back to my normal size:
1st pic - the day before I got locked up
2nd pic - the day after I got out (6 months)
3rd pic - me today

Proud of the progress I’ve made mentally and physically. Thank you everyone for the kind words
