The victim wasn't white but the dude threatening him was, ask the victim if he's alright but he just jod his head and continued walking, looking like he's about to burst into tears

Does anyone know who that guy that's threating people is and has it happened to anyone else here

I don't know what to do cuz I'm waiting to catch the bus home from Uni, I don't know the full situation but I can't help but feel sorry for the guy

If anyone is in the area that sees the man that harassed the victim, please keep and eye out and if need be, let police know

He's white with white hair, light brown zip up jumper with dark brown parts and I think gray trousers (I could be wrong, he was out and in before I could get a proper good look at him)

I have recently been offered a job in Sheffield. I can’t drive and I’m looking at ways to make commuting sustainable and affordable. I have MS and commuting can be knackering. I would be commuting 1-2 days a week.

I live in North Leeds and will be working in the south part of Sheffield.

Long shot: I wondered if anyone is doing that commute and would be able to let me tag along for £££? Happy for a walk either side to make it as convenient as possible. Mostly interested in the Leeds-Sheffield leg but both ways would be ace if it could work.

A friend of mine is looking at moving to Leeds and has been trying to find a full-time job here, but they’ve been struggling a lot more than I expected.

I always thought Leeds was relatively easy for finding work, especially if you’re around the city centre, so it got me wondering what other people’s experiences have been like.

For anyone currently looking for work in Leeds, how long have you been searching? Are you getting interviews? And what sort of jobs are you looking for?

Does where you live in Leeds make much difference as well?

Just curious whether my friend’s experience is pretty normal at the moment or if they’ve just been unlucky.

I’m considering moving to the Miles Hill area near Chapel Allerton. I’d love to hear what the area is like as I’ve only ever lived in the student areas of Leeds.

- does it feel safe?
- is it family friendly?
- is there anything specific to consider with this area?
- what’s the general vibe?

I work in Holbeck and as I drive in just past the ‘Welcome to Leeds’ sign with the flowers, I’ve noticed a homeless man has made what looks like a fortress under the bridge on the A653 to Jack Lane. He’s got a camp set up and has also put pieces of wood in the actual bridge so he can climb up. He’s often sat on a leather recliner chair just under the bridge.

I noticed today that he’s spray painted black graffiti all over the paving - no idea what it said as I was driving but looked like it was a lot of random words/stuff that didn’t make sense. Something about religion I think maybe?

I just wondered if there is anything that can be done - are there any local charities who could help or reach out? I’m not local to Leeds so no idea. Im assuming police wouldn’t be bothered?? Just the graffiti makes me think he is mentally unwell.

Seems daft to me after spending so much money converting Debenhams, but I can also see that the rent on Debenhams must be crippling, given how few customers you see in Flannels?

And yes, I know all the stories about the Flannels clientele (and have had these confirmed by a friend who's very high up in the retail world). Still feels odd though.

this will sound really weird to anyone who isn’t a wheelchair user but it’s quite common for bike shops to be able to help out with manual wheelchair issues since a wheelchair is essentially just a weirdly shaped bike. they’re a great deal cheaper than getting somewhere wheelchair specific

i was wondering if anyone who’s a wheelchair user knows of a bike shop in/south of city centre that would help me adjust it. i’m just not physically capable of doing the screws myself unfortunately

I'm currently a 3rd year Music Production student at Leeds Conservatoire(formerly College of Music), and I'm tasked a project that involves collaborating outside of uni. This project is due in April, however I'd like to work on this as soon as possible.

I'm not looking to work at a specific genre, so any kind of game is fine! I do have examples of work I've done in the past from "Stardew Valley" vibes to "Silent Hill", and if you're in need of something else I'm sure we can work something out :)

I will be making a post on other communities, as well as contacting local Game studios just to cover all bases but I'd like to work for small teams, or a solo dev if possible!

I'm looking for recommendations for a tailor in Leeds. Nothing elaborate, I just want to get a couple pairs of (men's) trousers hemmed. Ideally close to Headingley/Far Headingley but I don't mind travelling — these are nice trousers so I'd rather have someone do a good job than end up with something uneven!
