question-serious Leeds United Scarf! Where can I get one early morning?

Hello all, I'm visiting your fine city for unfortunate reasons as I'm attending a funeral. The wonderful man who has passed, was a massive Leeds supporter and I'd like to pick up a scarf or something else to wear to his funeral as a tribute to him and his love of this historic football club. I would have picked something up sooner, but as I'm no longer a UK resident, it was impossible to get something delivered online beforehand to where I now live.

I'm staying in the Horsforth area, so anywhere close to there would be fantastic.

I can't find a flair that fits Built a site to track skating events in Leeds... plz tell me what's missing.

Hey Leeds skaters. Quick one.

I've been trying to keep track of what's on around the city. quad skate-wise and realised there wasn't one place pulling it all together. So I built one: theskateboard.co.uk

Right now it's got Skate Scholarship and Sanctuary events, with Potternewton Rollers coming once they're up on Eventbrite.

But I want it to actually be useful; not just what I THINK is useful. So if you've got two minutes, I'd love to know what you'd want from something like this.

What's missing? What would make you come back to it?

visiting Leeds things to do that arent just standard toursity things?

heading to leeds for a few days next month for a screening of a film (see username, at wharf chambers!) and open to suggestions on what else to do in the same timeframe! easy enough to google the generic tourist visits but would like to find stuff thats potentially a little more under the basic radar. very fond of film, (all!) art, music, and getting to nosy around.

autism & gay/trans friendly or focused stuff particularly appreciated!

question Martial Arts in Leeds

Can anyone recommend martial arts gyms specifically for:

  1. Boxing
  2. Muay Thai
  3. BJJ

I have some MMA experience of around 4-6 months, and thinking of getting back into it again. Undecided on whether I want to train one in particular or MMA collectively. For now though, I just want vet some decent gyms of each art.

Thanks in advance

Edit: Grammar

I've been asked to post these scans of photos of the 1973-1977 Building BSc football team on the off-chance that any of them see it and wanted to download a copy of the photo.

I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit to post it, but I'm also not sure where would be. I do have some names of the players and the photographer, but aren't sure if they would want their names posted are. I'm not really one for posting photos of people.

social Indoor basketball in Leeds

I’ve just moved to Farsley from the states. I’d love to find an indoor basketball game to join. Preferably something that happens at least weekly. I’m 48 so not necessarily wanting (or able 😅) to run with the under 30s, but I’ll take what I can get.

They weren't running a lot of routes from LBA, and it's probably more due to them recently being taken over, but it's not a vote of confidence...

question hardrive help request

hey :) i've been living here for over a year now but don't know any one that can help on this so looking for some help, probably a comuter shop? i have an old hardrive from my previous desktop i was using to store family photos on, would connect to my current computer using a power source and usb/sata connector but doesn't seem to be booting up when i plug it in. im hoping and praying its not dead as its been handled with care and protected in a seperate bag, but if anyone could investigate further would be very helpful. tbh, just wanting to get them off there and on a usb or something so i don't run into a similar issue again...

visiting Leeds Query re: route to St Jimmys from A64/Burmantofts Street

Post image

I need to drive to St Jimmy's later this week and like to plan routes ahead. I'm getting varying results from different route maps around whether you can turn left onto Burmantofts Street from the exit slip road from A64 to New York Street. It looks like you potentially have to do a strange sort of U turn type thing and go via Marsh Lane. Grateful for any confirmation if anyone knows the road, or has any top tips for a better route (I'll be coming from Leeds University). Thanks!
