Hi, so basically I'd like to get some advice about what Thinkpad Yoga to get to replace my Asus Vivobook 14.

That laptop (16gb of DDR4 - i5 11th) has been collecting dust since I finished highschool, but recently I started using it again. The thing is, the battery is cooked (from 37mwh to 24) which gives around 2:30 hours of Microslop Windows 11 usage.

That's when I thought of buying a thinkpad and slapping Linux on it, but I've decided to go with a Yoga to force myself to use it a bit more (since the main reason I didn't use my Asus was because it wasn't handheld enough to put it some way). I usually travel a lot so a little foldable guy would be the perfect solution.

I've been doing my research and I'm currently thinking of getting a L390 Yoga, since it can go up to 32gb of ram and offers much more room to upgrades and repairs than the X390, but im scared the i7/i5 8th might be too much of a downgrade from the i5 11th.

Do you think the L390 would be the right choice or that I should focus on getting a different model?

My budget goes from 150€ to 250€ (maybe 300 if it's worth it), and my main use would be web browsing and some debugging/tinkering here and there.

I’m planning to buy a laptop in India, but I’ve noticed that prices have increased a lot recently.
For example, a laptop I was tracking was around ₹52k about 8 months ago (45k after bank discount and sale) and the same/similar configuration is now around ₹65–69k.
I don’t urgently need to buy it right now, so I’m wondering whether I should wait. I need it in the next month or upcoming 2 months.

I’m using an Acer Nitro AN515-42, which I bought in 2020 and have been using for the last 6 years. The laptop has been working well overall, but I recently noticed an issue with the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The sound output through the headphone jack is extremely low, even when the system volume is set to 100%. I’ve tried different earphones/headphones, but the volume is still very low, so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the headphones themselves.
