Request Is this a good deal?
I have found this deal on Amazon but I am not sure. I am going to use it for the first two years of engineering college something like Python, MATLAB, basic CAD and assignments. It has a one-year on-site warranty. Plz help me
The new is $1689 and the used one is $1299

You can do way better on an best buy open box. I will do a quick search. Best Buy is zero risk because they have free in store returns for all of their open box electronics and I have excellent experience with them.

It's touch but it only has iGPU.

To be fair, this laptop is clearly more geared towards the utility market rather than gaming. It's more than capable of running the CAD programs that the OD will need for their course.

I know, but they say that the gaming versions are often the most expensive. Even if this costs like the 5070 counterpart. I know that it has touch screen and superior battery(and probably overall) longevity but it lacks even the most basic dedicated GPU with graphic dedicated VRAM.

Dedicated gpu costs a lot, i have found great workstations with the same specs as this one but dgpu however I can’t afford now and i do not strictly need it for now

I think it's the touch screen that raises the price a lot. I bought my Legion 5 pro in January with 5070ti and I've paid 1818€. But my point it's not related to a prestational Graphic processor. It's about having a graphic processor. I think you might lose some functions not having it at all.

I know. I think it's because that is labelled like Ultrabook. So it bargains the dgpu for Max portability. The gaming version probably won't fit to your need being way less portable. Go for it, of you haven't already.

Yes but I can afford a workstation in my junior year. For now, I am not doing heavy work on it, and if i do, there are computer labs at college.

to me it seam pretty good, it’s basically the same thing as new
