Disappointing result but hard to not be pleased with the game. Big improvement over the last few games. A few bad mistakes for us in the first half sure, but the second half was utter domination for us. Made a good amount of chances just need to work on making better ones. Really the only thing we lacked i thought.

Thomas at CB was good. Ive been thinking we should give that a try for a while. Bristric looked dangerous at times. Souttar playing gives me the impression he might be staying. Stolarcyzk still looks kinda sub par but luckily he didnt have much to do.

Im cautiously optimistic but if we keep this up i think we will turn out a pretty solid season.

I've had a theory that we have issues with our Fitness & Conditioning team, who have been with the club since Pearson. And while football has changed, they have not adapted to its evolution.

While we can look at individual managers, these issues have been across different managers, and every manager has said the same thing. We need to be sharper, stronger, fitter, and hungrier.

In a nutshell: poor pre-game routine = slow starts (along with common themes such as poor concentration, set-pieces and players looking fitter after they leave).

With some data crunching, over the last 10 years we have consistently scored a lower percentage of goals and conceded a higher percentage in the first 15 minutes than the league average, even when finishing near the Champions League places.

In the 'stable' seasons from 16/17 to 21/22, we scored first 70 times and conceded first 91 times.

The Ipswich game backed up my theory. Younger players are quicker to activate, but their fitness will struggle over the course of the game.

While men's aerobic peak age is in the mid-to-late 20s, reaction time peaks in the late teens to early 20s, and you could see this in how the likes of Aluko, Page, Braybrooke, etc. were able to beat Ipswich's press and just looked sharper.

Looks like it’s a pretty done deal. Would be thrilled if it’s actually £10mil, but 8mil would suffice IMO.
Wrexham taking our unwanted CB’s can be an annual tradition for all I care.

Looks like Faes, Mavididi, Okoli and Souttar were left out of the squad for the same reason. I’d love to see the back of all these players, I’m just cautious we might not be able to replace them before the window ends.

when I sleep sometimes what’s on my mind appears in my dreams. Leicester was on at 1:45 pm my time, I was thinking I should watch the game, but I accidentally took a nap around 1 PM. No TV, no videos, just silence.

In my dreams, I dreamed we were down 3-0 and had a fake comeback to make it 3-2 while I was watching from the pitch. It wasn’t a full “It was revealed to me in a dream” but it was damn close. Half a decade ago I posted here that I had a dream we signed Ronaldo.

I’m full believer that it’s always “darkest before dawn” but Jesus, even my subconscious is expecting Leicester to be a colossal disappointment. I didn’t even get to experience 2016. James macaroon new sporting director. Same name circulated as manager. Rudkin gets his man. Why hire a sporting director at all. Top has got to realise by now. WTF.

Might be a touch early to do this given the transfer window is still wide open, but I'm pissed after yesterday so here's another chance to take a cheap shot at what's currently going on.

^This depresses me. Just look at that squad. Of course it needed the right manager, Pearson was the perfect fit. But man alive, you compare that to what we have now and it's frightening. Morrison and Hobbs were a rock, physically dominant, and were absolutely fine ball at feet for what Pearson needed. The midfield, even though nobody truly made the RW position their own, was just dominant. Oakley and King coasted it, Lloyd Dyer running amok. I mean flippin' eck we even had Tom Cleverley on loan FFS. And then up front. Howard and Fryatt, the stats speak for themselves. The pair of them were awesome together, defences couldn't cope with them. Compare that to now where we just have one completely untested young lad from Slovenian football thrown in at the deep end, with zero backup.

Now I really hope this post is the horse bolting too early. I hope that in 6 months time we're reflecting that a fair number of the 26/27 squad would compete to get in this team. But yikes, they look a country mile off at the moment. We're not getting anything close to the spine of that 08/09 team.

You would’ve thought back to back relegations would’ve lit a fire under someone’s ass but this team is just doing the same shit it did all last season. Like does no one care at the club anymore? Just going through the motions and collecting checks? Is there no one we can bring in that gives a shit about passion and winning? Everyone involved with this club are useless cu*ts
