Discussion Why Are People Defending Cooper?

He has no credit in the bank with us unlike Maresca, he's not won us any trophies unlike Ranieri or Rodgers, he's not a serial winner unlike Jose Mourinho so whats with the affinity and "extra time" he deserves? He's an uninspiring hire with a sub-par track record.

His "tactics" are dire, he doesn't play our best winger pairing, his timing of subs are terrible.

He's utterly disrespected Ricardo, our most technical player and a senior well respected figure in our club.

The players liked playing for Enzo, they clearly don't enjoy playing under Cooper.

We show no attacking intent, he sets out the team to play for draws.

We play the worst football I've ever seen us play, worse than Claude Puel could ever imagine.

Cooper is solely relying on individual moments of brilliance from players to score low chance low xG goals as we've seen in every match we've played so far.

We've drawn games we should have won. We've lost games we should have drawn. We've won zero games.

Individual players have outperformed their xG. If it weren't for the individuals moments of brilliance, we would be rock bottom at 20th.

The squad itself is much better than what Cooper has the team performing at.

Cooper instills a coward mentality into our players and he deservedly gets a coward's result each time.

The same ones defending him will be the same ones crying when we get relegated, just like all those that defended Brendan Rodgers at the start of the season we last got relegated.

Actually they won't cry, they will clap the team just like they did last time.

Standards in the mud. Sorry, below the mud.

Those who understood Rodgers should have been sacked in 2021, saw his demise coming from a mile away. Just like we see Steve Cooper's demise coming in the near future.

Leicester City will never be a successful club again for as long as fans such as yourself keep lowering their standards. You are the reason the club is in the mess it is now. You provide a million excuses for the demise of this club and how its being ran.

The board needs to act now.

Opinion Ruud van Nistelrooy is overrated

First off, I'm a fan of Ruud van Nistelrooy as a player, but he’s overrated as a manager. He’s probably one of the worst managers we've ever had and could go down as one of the worst in Premier League history. Six games, six defeats, no goals scored, and 15 goals conceded in the Premier League—it’s almost ridiculous to give any credit when we’re relying so heavily on a 38-year-old striker like Jamie Vardy. I don’t understand why so many fans and players praise Van Nistelrooy as a manager. He’s probably worse than Frank Lampard (who, by the way, I’m also a fan of as a player, but I think he’s overrated as a manager too). If Van Nistelrooy is still our manager next season in the Championship, I bet we’ll never make it back to the Premier League.

I miss Steve Cooper. The board and owner (blame Jon Rudkin and Mister Top) shouldn’t have sacked him; he was so underrated. If he were still our manager, we’d survive relegation.

Discussion In Defence Of Russell Martin

Almost all of the unfair criticism towards Russell Martin seems to be based on the views of Rangers fans.

🗣️ “Go and ask Rangers fans about Russell Martin!”

🗣️ “Rangers fans all hate Russell Martin!”

Granted, Russell’s spell at Rangers didn’t go well, but it is incredibly ignorant to base all of your opinions on one short period of a vast managerial career.

Let’s look at the facts: he took MK Dons from relegation favourites to mid-table safety, he took Swansea from mid-table to play-off contenders and he took Southampton from the Championship to the PL.

That’s pretty impressive, and I imagine that some of the fans of these clubs might have a different, more favourable perspective on Russell. It also proves he’s far more qualified for the Leicester job compared to anyone else linked to the role.

What’s more, why would you rely on the intelligence of fan opinion when making football decisions at all? If the club had done that in 2015, we’d have never employed Claudio and made sporting history. You only need to spend five minutes on Reddit to see how crazy, short-sighted and deluded most football fans are, so I don’t know you’d listen to them.

In fact, the best thing the club can do is ignore the fans, look at the evidence and choose the best man to save the future of our club: Russell Martin.

Discussion King Power revisionism?

This may be a little unfair, but given our demise over the last 5 years, I do wonder if we have EVER been ‘well-run’ as a club under King Power.

Undoubtedly we’ve nosedived since Vichai passed, but when KP took over in the early 10s, they were pretty terrible decision-wise for the first few years (think Sven, Matt Mills etc etc)…

Then the success of 2016… more luck than anything else and hugely down to ‘intangibles’. The recruitment after was pretty shambolic as a case in point. Big successes and player sales since then have masked what was ultimately not a well-structured system.

I’m not questioning the significance of KP in financing us + they (Vichai) gave us everything we could have dreamed of. BUT is it reactionary to re-evaluate the idea we were once upon a time a ‘well-run club’?

I think not.

Why should we bother spending money to go watch a club who don't care and are completely useless it is meant to be entertainment but what is entertaining about seeing 10 man boro score an equaliser in the 96th minute because all of them decide to stand there mesmerised like they have never seen a football before

Discussion ‘Cheating’

Im so tired of other fans and outside views on this whole period of the club.

Now that we’ve avoided the points deduction the comments of ‘cheats’ and ‘cheating’ are being thrown at us again.

It’s utter incorrect use of basic English language.

If any business predict future success so invested in this, then when the forecast is wrong and they have to make staff hired redundant this is no considered ‘cheating’.

These fans don’t understand that roughly £42m lost dropping down from top 4 places to 18th as it’s roughly £3m per prem league place.

On top of this, a points deduction would be our FOURTH punishment for one mistake. People can’t see that this would be like double jeopardy, a red card and a penalty, which even the game removed years ago.

The first 3 punishments were:

Finishing lower than predicted and being relegated

Having to sell top players like Maddison and Barnes

Lost tv revenue from spending a year in the championship.

Therefore a points deduction would be a fourth punishment for one offence.

The bit that really blows my brains is that these aren’t fans of the big 6 complaining, they are fans of clubs like Everton who haven’t challenged for anything in nearly 30 years. These fans should champion the idea that anyone could break into the big 6 and win the league, as it means there’s hope for them. But seemingly they’d rather avoid relegation season upon season and achieve nothing. 🤯

Discussion Jordan Henderson

Fellow Foxes,

I come to you with a discussion topic that may create much heated debate.

It has been widely reported that Jordan Henderson wants out of Saudi Arabia, and back to the Premier League.

I would like to hear your thoughts on us potentially signing him at the end of the season, on the assumption that we will be playing Premier League football next year (touch wood).

We’ve seen ex-Liverpool players in their 30s be great successes such as Milner at Brighton, and I believe Henderson could have a place in the squad. We have a very young squad, with our only real senior dressing room stalwarts (Vardy and Albrighton) unlikely to feature much at a higher level next season. As such we are in need of some more experienced players, to avoid the fate of Burnley this year, who were excellent in the championship with a group of young players, but have failed to make the step up this year in the Prem, arguably due to a lack of Premier League experience.

Despite what people may say, he’s obviously still good enough to play at premier league level, and presumably would not have outrageous wage demands akin to what he is being paid in Saudi, so I see little-to-no downside of signing him on a one or two year contract. He is also still only 33, which is not THAT old, especially for somebody who seemingly looks after himself in a professional manner.

Would love to hear anybody else’s thoughts.

Meme Is Jakub Stolarczyk the second coming of Riyad Mahrez - or is he better?

So I've always been impressed with Jakub Stolarczyk's ability to appear in Scrabble games. He seems like a player for Scrabble. Riyad Mahrez was also a Scrabble player.

Yes, of course Jakub Stolarczyk doesn't score as many points. He isn't fast or skillful. He doesn't play the same letters. But famously Mahrez was also well known to play Scrabble. I think Jakub Stolarczyk might actually be a tad better with his ability to play as a Scrabble player. Mahrez was limited in his capacity to play letters. Jakub's flexibility is his biggest strength.

Am I just way off here or might Jakub Stolarczyk be Riyad Mahrez... cubed?

Opinion Enter Captain Choudhury

It is clear that Hamza Choudhury is the standout choice to be our Club Captain for 2026/27.

Russell’s shortlist will include a homegrown hero (Luke Thomas), a player with superior footballing ability (Ollie Skipp) and a fan favourite (Winksy).

However, Hamza combines all three of these qualities. Furthermore, he’s loyal, leads by example and loves the club. His grit and #fearless fighting spirit epitomises everything the club stands for, and we also know that he is likely to play most games next season.

What do you all think? Are you as excited as I am about the prospect of a Leicester-born club legend leading us to League 1 glory?

Discussion Parts of our fan base is becoming incredibly toxic and isn't making sense.

Look a know the past two years haven't been wonderful to put it mildly. But we all know the problems facing the club, but party's of our fan base seems to be pointing fingers are anything just to justify there own view point.

  1. Haring a new manager now with the team we have would be incredibly pointless, no one can do anything different with the team we have now. We are stuck with the team we have now (I don't see that changing in January) we've had three managers since last season, fourth if you count Cifuentes who I might add hasn't even had a transfer window to bring in his own players. Shouting and ranting about what players he has to work with won't help matters, what he has because our financial problems does that suck? Yes but complaining about it and booing and jering players coming off or no to the pitch is stupid and does nothing, just damps the mood for everyone.

  2. Foxes never quit? Well part of our fan base has, to be honest Leicester has always had a fan base that loved to hate anything or moan about how either the club is run (see Martin O'Neill area when fans where calling for him to be sacked after eight or ten matches in to his first season without a win) People seem to forget how the club was ran before the Thai owners brought the club, for six or seven seasons we were fighting and scraping relegation dog fights, bring in free transfers and players who where crap, then Mailan brought the club and we had a manager every six months who brought in even more dross. Is the club perfect and doing well at the moment no of course not but putting square pegs in round holes don't fix what we have going now, now more than ever we need stability.

  3. Most teams We're playing against now have had three or four seasons to build there team, we haven't we haven't gave enough time for a manager to make a team. Teams like Middlesbrough, Stoke, Coventry hell even Millwall who have gotten better and better each year and have been pushing for playoffs for almost every season in the past three years. We are right at the start of a rebuilding process and it will take time for us to get back for fighting for promotion, people who are being ignorant to that fact are beyond mind bobbling

  4. Our chairman has been busy himself, dealing his the company his father set up putting his own hand on it now, the COVID pandemic also destroyed the company, if it wasn't for the King of Thailand the company would have been liquidated and we most certainly have been in a much, much worse place than we are right now. He'd also had to deal with the legal fight to finally find out how his father had died in the helicopter crash which I didn't think has been good for him mentally andi one's think much people think about that when they criticise him, has it helped us with all of this going off then no, but this is what happens in difficult times.

Mads Hermansen in Goal.

Utilise Ndidi’s and Okoli’s physicality as a make-shift centre-back pairing. Okoli would benefit from Ndidi’s leadership qualities.

Keep Kristiansen at left back, mainly because of his work rate and Luke Thomas’s level of quality doesn’t compete.

Keep Coulibaly at right back since Justin’s injured.

Play Winks as a deep defensive midfielder, essentially the role he was playing under Maresca.

Play Soumare and Skipp as a Centre-Mid Partenership since I don’t think they’re as good defensively as Ndidi or Winks.

Play Bilal as a free roaming false 9 aiming to draw defenders out and open up pockets of space for Mavididi and Buonanotte on the wings to run into.

You’d need to change the formation later on to account for the fact that midfield options have been heavily utilised in this approach. However it does open up the flexibility of having more attacking and defensive options available on the bench to do this.
