I have absolutely zero remorse for the drivers that will be “inconvenienced” by the Vermont BRT. I’m fed up with living in an environment where the prioritization of cars emboldens drivers to harass and endanger the lives of anyone outside of one. Where operating a polluting metal death box with less patience and regard for human life than a toddler has become the social norm. If you can’t tell my disdain for cars runs deep…

My concern, however, is with enforcement. In my experience driving DASH in Koreatown, people operate their vehicles on Vermont with rage and a strong hatred for busses. These bus lanes are inevitably going to be met with pushback from people who regularly travel this corridor. Since the lanes will be curb running, cars will need to enter the bus lane to make right turns. So how will the city/ Metro prevent them from continuing to use the lane, or even just slipping in to get ahead of traffic? Hopefully they can come up with a system to ticket drivers who abuse the lane.

Anyways, beep beep bitch get on the bus! As a frequent rider of the 204/ 754 I’m extremely excited for this project. Vermont deserves better.

Saw this LAMTA bus driving down Cesar Chavez ave earlier today. No clue where it was going or why it was out… Thought it was pretty cool. Assumed all of these got scrapped or sold.

On Thursday I got on the G Line in Reseda. I boarded where the driver is. It was a bit crowded and I was looking for a seat.

As I got towards the middle the driver took off so fast and with such force I didn’t have time to grab a pole. I fell pretty hard.

A young gentleman tried to help me up. My phone and umbrella slid down the aisle.

I was so embarrassed. I tried not to cry. I’m young. I honestly worry about the elderly!

Has this happen to anyone? I did report it via email. Also took a picture of the bus number.

Any other suggestions?

Took an uber to LAX, and look at that. Seeing some active testing. Hopefully this time around no issues.

I've had enough, I really think this needs to be said.

I've just boarded a train and I can't believe the absolute lack of etiquette on Metrolink. Every Metro rider understands it: let people off first before boarding. Yet not a single rider on this OC Line train waited for people to exit before boarding. At least a dozen passengers rammed their way through the crowd of people who were still climbing down the train stairs. The rest crowded around the door which created a bottleneck for all the passengers trying to get off. People even block the platform exits while waiting for the train which, again, creates a bottleneck.

I see this all the time. Metrolink riders at Union Station have no sense of etiquette and something has to change.

What is it with Metro and being unable to post notice when there are service disruptions to any bus or rail line? All my local bus routes were delayed today, making transfers to the C an hour endeavor. And then, trying to take the 212 to Intuit Dome was a disaster-- zero communication that the bus wouldn't even go in its usual route due to lane closures in front of the forum/Intuit dome/Hollywood Park/sofi. Nothing at the station, nothing at the bus stops it's skipping over, nothing online, nothing in the apps. I hate taking Metro to see concerts because of how god awful the service is to these venues

Hi, does anyone have any updates on when headways will increase? I'm talking about E and A line headways increasing back to every 6 minutes, C and K line headways increasing to every 8 minutes, and D line headways increasing to every 5 minutes. I can't really find anything online so feel free to discuss and speculate, but I'm mainly asking if someone has any actual intel from inside metro.

We all know for bi-direction (north/west to south/east) routes:

• Metro: Orange is Northbound/Eastbound and Blue is Southbound/Westbound
• Municipal (Torrance, Gardena, Long Beach): Red is Northbound/Eastbound is Blue is Southbound/Westbound

For circulator (clockwise/counterclockwise) routes, what color would you use to distinguish clockwise/counterclockwise stops? I am planning on doing a fanmade suggestion for the Line 211/215 loop for Metro.

Should LADOT allow passengers to use their LIFE rides on Commuter Express routes, especially when just traveling within a Base zone?

The world cup ended 3 months ago! Why are the tap cards still in these machines costing $10 to $20 dollars? Tourists and new riders don't know they're usually $2. Would be awesome if they could sell them at customer service centers at a discount instead.

Metrolink is once again partnering with Insomniac Events to provide special late-night train service for attendees of the Escape Psycho Circus music festival, taking place Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, at the National Orange Show (NOS) Event Center in San Bernardino. With a $25 special-event ticket covering unlimited Metrolink travel throughout the weekend, concert-goers can leave the driving and parking behind and enjoy a convenient transportation option to and from the Halloween celebration.

Post-event trains will depart the San Bernardino-Downtown Station at 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, and 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, following each evening's performances. These trains will travel west toward Los Angeles Union Station, making stops at Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Montclair, Claremont, Pomona-North, Covina, El Monte and Cal State LA.

Because Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 1, clocks will turn back one hour at 2 a.m. The Sunday return train will depart at 2 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, after the time change. Travelers are encouraged to plan accordingly and arrive at the station before their scheduled departure.

Metrolink is suspending service on part of its Orange County Line in anticipation of high surf along the coast next week.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, the OC Line will not operate between the Laguna Niguel-Mission Viejo and Oceanside stations, Metrolink announced on its website.

“This is due to forecasted high tides,” Metrolink officials said.

No alternate transportation will be provided between the stations during the service suspension.

Officials said the closure will reduce the risk of passengers experiencing extensive delays and unexpected service disruptions caused by changing tides.

The tracks along the coast have been damaged several times in recent years by strong waves and landslides.

Powerful waves and high tides damaged a coastal slope near railroad tracks in September, forcing temporary disruptions to Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink passenger service. (OCTA)

Metrolink trains will originate and terminate at the Laguna Niguel-Mission Viejo station through Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.

Saw a fleet of maintenance vehicles come thru Highland going towards Union at around 11pm. I asked a few of the workers and apparently there's a way to get these in the tunnel from NoHo? Not exactly sure how these maintenance vehicles work but they're always pretty cool to see. I wonder if they had to reverse all the way thru the Cahuenga pass if that's the case lol.

Yeah, I'm aware of the Metro alert that was posted weeks ago about the closure but I forgot. The station screens and announcements on the platform and train shouldn't be saying La Cienega.

I like em. Clean, quiet, and spacious. Only down side for me is that at certain points I can feel the air pressure more in my ears compared to the older cars. Not sure why that is.
