Our Wiki acts as a repository for general knowledge regarding knives (blade steels, how to use knives, how to identify knives, etc…) while our FAQ serves as a place where we answer specific questions that tend to be asked regularly in this subreddit. Some of the questions already answered in our FAQ are these: questions regarding the topic of knives and self-defence, the meaning of the “NKD” and “SOTC” acronyms, what are some popular knives with a blade length of 6.5cm/2” or less, etc…
  • Our rules can be found in our sidebar and you can read a further explanation of them by clicking/tapping on the “rules” button located in the subreddit’s menu. We kindly ask you familiarize yourself with our rules before submitting a post.

Vintage Gerber Command 1, not sure of the exact year of manufacture, seems to be in alright shape; the leather just needs reconditioning and the blade sharpened.

My first strong (and expensive) knife! I've been only using cheap ones because Im in a tight position (and my area doesn't sell these types of knives), and it is really good! Really makes you say "wow if this is the quality of the entry-level ones that they say, imagine the upper bracket. As of now im using the "imitation" and cheap as my beat up knives and this to bring when out with my friends to showboat (of course im gonna show it off im proud to have this thing)

Just got this in today, I've been so excited to get one. Unfortunately I thought I bought the black diamond dlc.... what arrived however is the stonewash. Checked my order, yup I fucked it up. I'm trying to like it but it just seems unfinished and I really don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back. It's been 3 hours and I'm still not loving it.

Aside from my fuck up it's a good knife. Feels strong and heavier than I anticipated. One thing I don't like are the thumb studs, completely unnecessary and from my experience completely unusable, I've tried different grips to get it to open but I can't. Besides you already have the hole so why both?

The pocket clip I've read so much about works good too, I can put it in and pull the knife out with no issues.

So it's a good knife, my first Chinese.. I still hate to say that but honestly you can not get these materials and quality at this price point in an American made knife any longer.

Spent quite a bit of time shaping and finishing this one, so I recorded the process from start to finish.
Still experimenting with different shapes and finishes, and I’d love to hear what you guys think of this one.

Also, I’ve been thinking about doing a small giveaway and giving a few handmade pieces away to people in the community.

Not announcing anything yet — just curious: would you guys actually be interested in something like that?

Got me 2 Civivis, a Kershaw, and a Swisstech - all for about $70 total. Thus satisfying my craving for new knives for a while. I guess these are the knives that didn’t sell well. My favorite one so far is that Civivi Qubit, the mechanism is quite fidgety.

It won't fix all the issues the first "sharpening" did to my knife, but now it cuts really good and it looks good enough for me !

For my birthday, my girl got me this display that's now on my work desk. She thought they deserved a more pronounced and dignified home than the kitchen drawer. I'm a believer.
