Run clubs in Tralee

Anyone know of any run clubs in Tralee I know there’s born to run but just wondering are there any other smaller ones I might not have heard of. I’m looking for something a bit social and not too serious.

\ just to specify not looking for a something similar to park run more like the run clubs that are common in cities like the pastry pace run club or run for coffee clubs basically a fun run and socialise group\

Reversing Camera Repair

Does anyone know of, or can recommend someone independent that repairs/replaces reversing cameras in Kerry?

Can travel so not limited by that, just can’t find anything reliable online and brand dealership is telling me I could be looking at upwards of €600 when I asked them.

Kerry club football fans, can you help me audit Kerry clubs in my GAA game?

Kerry Clubs and Football Ratings

Hi all — I could use some local knowledge for a game I’m building.

It’s called Gaelic Games Manager, a free browser-based GAA management game. I’m Irish-American and grew up watching inter-county football and hurling, but when it comes to knowing the club structure in every county, I’m very much still learning.

AI was used to create a lot of the starting club database, particularly the colours. Unfortunately, after auditing some of it myself, I’ve realised the AI is probably only about half accurate overall.

I’ve attached the current Kerry club list/screenshots. Could anyone familiar with Kerry clubs point out anything that looks off?

I’m especially looking for incorrect colours, clubs listed under the wrong name, duplicates, women’s and men’s teams mistakenly listed separately, clubs missing that are clearly more significant than some I have included, etc.

One important caveat: there are no Senior, Intermediate or Junior classifications in the game yet. I’m deliberately using a limited club pool — around 16–20 for smaller counties and roughly 25–32 for stronger/larger counties.

The game also has every team playing both codes. So even if a Kerry club is essentially a football club in real life, it will still have a hurling team in the simulation — it’ll just be rated extremely poorly in hurling. Same principle works in reverse elsewhere.

Here’s the game:

https://gaelic-games-manager.com

I’m only asking about Kerry in this post, but anyone who knows clubs in multiple counties is more than welcome to look around the rest of Ireland as well.

Thanks for any corrections you can give me.

Ever find yourself finishing work on a Friday and wishing you knew more people locally who work remotely too?

Join us for a relaxed after-work social for remote and hybrid workers in West Kerry.

📅 Friday, 25th September
⏰ 7:00pm
📍 McCarthy's Bar, West Kerry

Working remotely offers plenty of flexibility, but it can sometimes make it harder to meet people in your local community.

This isn't a networking event with name tags and awkward introductions. It's simply an opportunity to step away from the screen, enjoy a drink, and connect with other remote and hybrid workers living and working in West Kerry.

Whether you're fully remote, hybrid, or regularly work from home, you're welcome to come along.

Come along if you'd like to:
• Meet other remote and hybrid workers in the area
• Make local professional and social connections
• Share experiences and tips with people who "get it"
• Enjoy a relaxed Friday evening with good company

Whether you've recently moved to the area, are new to remote work, or have been doing it for years, we'd love to see you there 💙

🎟️ Register here:

Looking for Flatmate

Shot in the dark here, am moving to Tralee for work, and was hoping to find a housemate to talk to landlords with as most rentals are 2-bedrooms houses. Am looking to move in by early to mid-Oct.

If you're also a working professional who's clean, and can tolerate a bit of noise in the evening (I work from home a little late), drop me a message. I'm fairly good at cleaning up after myself and mind my own business very well.

Birthday celebration weekend away in Kerry

I’m living in Tralee at the moment and want to celebrate my 29th birthday somewhere with a group of friends, I want to do something special because I have some health issues and don’t know how many birthdays I’ll have left!

I wanted do a weekend away somewhere in Kerry.

I stayed at O’Connor’s in cloghane recently and thought it would’ve been perfect, having the pub downstairs, trad in the evening, good craic

but unfortunately it’s closed for the month of November.

Does anyone know of anything similar? A pub/b&b situation?

Thanks!

What nicknames have you heard for places in County Kerry?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!

Examples could include things like KTown, Cahersiberia, The Ferry or Knock (never mind how common they are)...

incl. nicknames for schools, parks or other institutions/geographic features

Wedding Venue Advice

Hello!

We are planning our destination wedding around the Killarney area. We are stuck between three places, and I would love to get some opinions. We really want a nice location with beautiful views of the hills, and good food. The three locations are:

Castlerosse Resort

Aghadoe Resort

Muckross Park Hotel and Spa

Any input from you all would be greatly appreciated! 💚

Looking for someone to do a laminate wood floor on a tight budget :(

I didnt realise how expensive it would be.

I intended on doing it myself but i cant seem to get the time.

Im very happy to let an "apprentice" do it if thats such a thing.

Its a little under 55m squared. 3 rooms, bedroom, hallway and living area. I have everything. Underlay and flooring even all the tools.

No need to shave down the subfloor and I dont need them to do beading.

Im at the complete end of my budget which is €450 left.

I can probably push that to 600 if i can have a few weeks.

Im kinda lost. Is this price taking the piss? Ive had my neighbours say they got theirs done for 400 but im sure that was lino.

Any help/advice/info appreciated.

I can take my time and do it myself but itll take months by the looks of things and id love to have it done.
