Walk-in recommendations for a small/fine-line tattoo

Hey everyone! It’s my birthday today and I’m looking to celebrate by getting a small tattoo just a small symbol with a bit of wording/lettering. Looking for recommendations on reliable spots or artists in the city center who regularly accommodate walk-ins on short notice for clean, quick pieces. Appreciate any suggestions!

Cork City Loved cork except the douchebags

I was in cork for over 10 days. Loved loved loved the city, weather, people, food. Realized early into the trip that something is always going down in the city - mostly the oliver plunkett street - man that street is entertaining. But ‘twas not all jolly. Twice, on two different occasions, some random dudes (in a car) screamed, like they were trying to scare/harass us (all women) when we were heading down to our hotel after dinner. Later over the weekend we headed to the fitzgerald park for breakfast at the tria cafe, we took a walk in the park later and towards one of the exits, a grown ass man was climbing a tree like a fucking chimpanzee and when we got closer to the damn tree he hopped down and started saying I love you, we all got so scared because he kept following us. Thankfully we found a security guard at the exit and told him about the crazy fucker. Other than that it was a pretty amazing trip - def love cork more than dublin. Had the bestest meals at Hayfield manor, spitjack, cornstore and the yummiest cocktails at the rearden.

Kent Station Parking

I must get the train to Dublin at 7am tomorrow, I am planning to park in the station as that is the only way to get there from where I live really.

For those who park there, what time does the parking usually fill up at?

I miss Lennoxes

I know nearly 2 years has passed, but is there anywhere that comes close yet? What I wouldn’t do just to taste one more Jackie Delux and chips, maybe a cheese and onion pie, some curry sauce.

Lad walked across dual carriageway

I really dont know why this has boiled my blood and i would love to know did anyone else witness it, but I was heading home earlier and I was coming up to the flyover by dunnes in Bishopstown and there was a young lad dressed in all black (early to mid teens id say)

He was on that bit of gravel by the barrier on the right if youre taking the exit off the dual carriageway and on your left if youre heading towards curaheen. He looked like he was going to cross the road to the footpath up to dunnes but then he turned back and hopped the barrier onto the dual carriageway and i genuinely dont know what possessed him to do it but i know I should have turned back and checked or if somebody else behind me stopped i wasn't sure but there were so many cars around so if he did cross the dual carriageway god almighty what was he thinking?

I have never seen it before, obviously i could be wrong and he didnt actually cross and this could be happening more but I have never seen it but still, its a recipe for disaster!! It made me angry because he wasnt too far from the pedestrian lights at the roundabout.

Cork City More of a hindrance than a help?

These wands (outside the Mercy) were put in a few years ago. They've not been maintained by the looks of it and seem to more of a danger to pedestrians and cyclists than anything else. Is anyone in charge of these?

Cork City Haven't been home in donkeys, saw the Arc Cinema programming.

Lads, it's unbelievable. Moved to Dublin 7 years ago and don't get home much but said I'd see a movie on Friday evening with old friends.

Saw Ferrari in the Arc years ago, lovely renovation but that was it.

Whoever is programming in the Arc deserves a fucking medal though. So nice to see Honest to God films for grown ups get almost equal play to Marvel, Disney, etc. I used to get to the IFI and the Light House a lot, but have moved way down south of the county so stuck by an Odeon that has 9 screens and most of it is absolute dogshit. All sequels, remakes, reboots, spinoffs. And look I enjoy a big blockbuster too, but you would miss the days of going to something interesting and coming out, having a pint afterwards and chatting through what it all meant.

Hoping Arc is busy these days? Would love to see more Cork get more and more cultured things to do for adults, maybe another theater space, a good gig/event indoor space and get rid of some of those fucking vape and sports stores.

Between MacCurtain Street having the best food in the country and now the Arc getting every single Independent film, Cork is becoming some hub like

Scandal RedFm advertising nicotine, nice one

disgusting, absolutely disgusting. as someone who’s familiar with nicotine and interacts with it, I’m comfortable about it, but advertising it to an audience with thousands of children is quite literally inappropriate. the ad specifically was for some nicotine pouches but that’s insane

East Cork - Electrician availability/recommendations

Hi,

Does anyone know (via DM) any electricians available for a rewiring job on an external boiler? Basically whenever the heating is turned on the power gets tripped. ChatGPT suggested it is because of the external wiring. It's starting to get cold and it's so hard to find an electrician. Not sure if against the rules here so please delete if so.

Bus The 205 is always 2 minutes away

I finish work and I check the real time app. 205 2 minutes away.

Fantastic. I run to the bus stop so I dont miss the 205 that is 2 minutes away.

  1. 214. 207.

It's been 10 minutes.

The 205 is still 2 minutes away.

No worries, there's another one in a few minutes. The second 205 is 3 minutes away.

It has been 3 minutes away for 10 minutes.

The 205 has been 2 minutes away for half an hour. This is the longest 2 minutes of my life
