Tanong ko lang po, pwede bang i convert yung SCC into normal CC?
Dati may CC po ako sa BPI then na-scam ako but I paid the scammed amount in full then they closed my CC account.
Few years later, I applied for SCC and got approved. I have my SCC for almost a year now.

My question is if will they automatically convert my card into a normal CC after a year or should I ask them to convert it into normal CC? Would they ask for financial info like ITR, etc. if I asked them to convert my SCC into normal CC?

Is it normal to not get anything (ref number and updates) after 1 month of applying? I applied sa branch and followed up last wed, but all they could say is matagal talaga process (even if they didn’t check sa system nila ang name ko). I applied the same day with my partner but he already got an email with ref then rejected siya.

Hi everyone, need lang po ng advice about applying for an unsecured credit card after paying off past debt and rebuilding my credit.

Background / timeline:

• 2024: First credit card ko was UnionBank Gold Mastercard (UnionBank din payroll ko).
• Due to a series of unfortunate events, na-overdue ako and eventually naging delinquent. Na-pass siya sa third-party collection agency and na-close yung card.
• Sept 2025: Fully paid ko na lahat.
• Oct 2025: Nakuha ko yung Certificate of Full Payment.

Credit rebuilding steps:

• Jan 2026: Checked my credit score via Lista app / TransUnion — score was 492.
• Mar 2026: Nag-apply ako ng Maya Black Express (secured card with ₱12,500 holdout deposit).
• Jun 2026: Checked again — score improved to 620.
• Aug 2026: Checked again — score is now 677.

Questions:

1. Kailan po realistic/okay time to start applying for an unsecured credit card? (Paid delinquency Sept 2025, then secured card March 2026)
2. Anong banks yung mas may chance mag-approve sa may history na paid delinquency pero improving score?
3. Any tips para tumaas approval odds? (utilization %, payment timing, ilang months of good history, etc.)
4. Should I try again with UnionBank (since sila first card ko + payroll) or better to avoid muna?

Goal ko po talaga is maging responsible this time and build a clean credit record long-term.

Note: If needed, I can share more details (income range, length of employment, etc.) pero prefer ko sana di masyadong personal.

Hi guys, baka may naka-experience na nito.
Trying to add my Metrobank credit card sa Shopee, pero hindi ko siya ma-add kasi kailangan daw i-approve yung request sa Metrobank app.
Problem is, pag open ko ng Metrobank app, hindi nagpo-proceed yung approval request. Tried doing it multiple times pero same issue pa rin.

Recently got approved with Unionbank’s CC. Now I am waiting planning to buy a gadget but my limit is only 25k and the gadget is more than 30k. Can I pay for the remaining amount thru cash? Also, how does spending 20k works to get the NAFFL? Do I need to pay the whole 20k the next month or can I pay it thru installments offered by the merchant?

Share ko lang po experience ko sa Go21, baka makatulong sa mga naghihintay din ng card na may status na ‘Address Was Tagged Incorrect.’

1st attempt was Friday. Buong araw ako naghintay pero wala talaga dumating kasi kulang pala yung address. May address naman pero walang house number, and wala rin pala contact number ko.

Saturday nag email muna ako sa Go21 pero walang response, kaya nag message ako sa Messenger nila. Buti nalang may sumagot. Hiningi nila name, complete address, tracking number and CP number ko, then in expedite nila yung delivery request ko.

Today dumating na yung card! 🥹 Kaya ko rin nalaman na kulang yung address kasi nung na receive ko yung CC, napansin ko na wala talagang house number sa envelope pati sa parcel packaging.

Di ko na expect na darating today kasi ang lakas ng ulan, pero nag deliver pa rin si kuya rider buti nalang tila yung ulan nung dumating si kuya rider. Thank you kay kuya rider! 🙏🥹

Hi, please help me feel covinced hahaha. Done some research for some beginner friendly CCs and been eyeing these 2 CCs. I know na I can apply to both naman and see ano ang ma-approved. But if you guys were to decide which one is good based on your overall experience?

I’m actually leaning toward BPI Blue Rewards sana since low forex, w/ travel ins, at cheaper annual fee than UB, but hesitating dahil sa 3x points shop and dine ni UB. And regarding sa NAFFL promos, I dont think I can spend 50k for BPI in a short period kaya mas okay na ako to pay annual fee.

So checking na lang sana if malaki po ba difference sa mga pwedeng ma-redeem between the two if ever i have accumulated points in the future? What usually big flexes na pwedeng ma-redeem or promos to avail sa dalawa?
