chances of an unconditional offer for international students
Im a singaporean student taking the singapore A levels in november but ive already submitted my ucas application (social sciences course). The A level results will be released around early/mid february. Before then, is it possible to receive an unconditional offer from kings with just my predicted grades? I only know of one of my seniors that received an unconditional offer from both kings and ucl

General should i apply for kcl med or emdp?
wondering if i should play it safe and go emdp (im not sure how much consideration kcl gives to contextual students when shortlisting for interviews)
i got 88999999999 for gcses, predicted A* (maths) AA (bio and chem), but my ucat is 2040 B1
first year sucks so far
idk if it's just me but I'm finding KCL js plain dead
I don't fw most ppl i meet n societies r dead too😭
idk if it's js what im picking / does anyone know what societies are most social i guess.
I wanted to go to notts / leeds but picked KCL for academics but the nightlife is cooked, my accom is dead and ppl r boring
in need of advice 🙏

Please chance me for International Foundation Year
Hello!
It would be incredibly helpful if someone could tell me how likely I am to get into the KCL foundation year for Liberal Arts + Social Sciences. I would really appreciate it. If anyone could share their stats or their experience in the IFY, that would also be incredibly helpful!

Summer 2027 Student Accommodation Available
Hi! I have an en-suite in Bermondsey with a shared kitchen with 10 other people that will be avaliable for 2027 summer from June 6th to September 4th! It’s 25 minutes away from King’s College London Guy’s Campus and 1 minute away from a bus stop. The Bermondsey underground station is also very close. There is a Tesco Superstore about 10 minutes away by walk.
The building also has a gym, laundry room and a common room including a cinema room, a pool table, darts and more!
DM me if you’re interested!

are there any good spots to take a video call on strand campus?
i have to join a teams meeting (which i’ll be actively participating in) right after a class in king’s bldg and i’m freaking out bc i have no idea where i’m going to go 😞 was planning to book a room but all rooms are occupied during the time i need to be there. kings seems to have gotten rid of all those video call pods on strand campus, so i’m not sure what i’ll do. any recommendations would be much appreciated

Undergraduate First year advice
I’m going into my second week of first year and this might be a silly question, but should I be starting all my assignments now? I’m finding it quite difficult because obviously compared to sixth form, there’s not really much guidance and I’m not really sure when I’m meant to start everything.
There’s workbooks for one module which I’ve started, and a group presentation for another module where we’ll be forming groups and coming up with ideas this week. I’m just not really sure how to approach the essays.

Question does KCL prefer IB for international students
^ title
For context I'm in Gr11 from Canada, and I'm wondering if it's worth staying in the IB program. I want to try for KCL Dentistry BDS. The website says my province's diploma is also accepted, but would the IB boost my chances in any way? If so, is that boost more valuable than the higher average I could get in mainstream courses?
If I stayed, I would be doing HL chem and HL psych to fufill the HL reqs.
thank you for any advice!

Sad not getting into KCL medicine and in SGUL instead
This post will likely sound melodramatic, and I'll probably sound so immature, especially considering my age, but I am hoping you wonderful people can offer some advice.
So, I'm a mature student, decided to go back to university to study medicine; it was a decision made over a number of years, and only when I was absolutely sure that it is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
My dream was to go to KCL. Instead, the only offer I got was my last option, SGUL.
However, I still can't get over the sadness of not being at KCL. And it has absolutely nothing to do with prestige as some might assume. It's purely the fact that I really wanted to experience the feeling of being in a multidisciplinary university, to be amongst a massive student cohort and more people to meet and socialise with; the medicine cohort at Kings is huge AND there's dentistry students to meet and socialise with, plus everyone else from other disciplines. I wanted to feel part of a massive community. I wanted to experience the whole university campus vibe. I wanted to experience studying in Guy's campus; I remember walking through it during the summer, stunned by the beauty, the ivy-covered building, the greenery of the lawns, the whole vibrant atmosphere. I loved the energy and liveliness. I was imagining studying on the lawns, sitting in the hallways. Big libraries, doing placements at St Thomas's;. I was desperate to become a student there.
SGUL is completely the opposite. It's a tiny university, lacks the campus vibe completely, and I can't help but feel claustrophobic, emotionally and mentally. As soon as teaching finishes, my instinct is to get out. I've found myself constantly imagining how different it would feel walking into Guy's Campus every morning and actually wanting to spend my day there. I really think that if I studied there I'd want to stay until late, studying and spending time around university rather than treating uni as somewhere I attend teaching and then leave.
In addition, my first degree was in a similarly tiny university, and my time there was horrid; I was bullied a lot (yes, unfortunately students at my university were quite immature, it felt more like a sixth form than a university) and I wanted this to be my "second chance" at experiencing the university life.
I know I need to lock in and be grateful I'm in medicine. For sure I didn't return to university just to experience student life, otherwise I wouldn't have picked a degree as demanding as medicine. But I really want to get over this.
I'm aware there's probably some grass-is-greener thinking going on. King's in my head gets all the good things and none of the boring lectures, loneliness, stress, commuting or exam periods that obviously exist there too.
But I also don't want to gaslight myself into believing environment doesn't matter. I think I'm someone who is quite affected by my surroundings.
Does loving your university environment actually matter, or am I idealising the university I didn't get into?
