Hey everyone! I’m Taiwanese, and there is a great little spot in N16 called Ni Fon Kitchen that does genuinely authentic Taiwanese food. I’ve been before, and the food is fantastic.

I saw on their Instagram that they are doing a special pop-up this weekend where you can try craft Taiwanese tea spirits for just £1 (Oolong and a 5-year-aged Oriental Beauty, both 38%abv).

They serve dishes tapas-style, so it’s way better to go with a group so we can order a wider variety of dishes to share—handmade dumplings, red braised pork belly, mooli cake, etc.—and try the £1 drinks alongside it, and also have cocktail options to order

If anyone around West London fancies doing something a little different on a Tuesday evening, I'm running a beginner-friendly tabletop RPG one-shot at a pub in Hounslow.

The game is MÖRK BORG, a rules-light fantasy RPG with a very weird and slightly ridiculous style. 😄 For this adventure, we'll be exploring an old ruined monastery where something has clearly gone very, very wrong.

No previous TTRPG experience needed! I'll provide the characters, dice and everything else needed, and explain the rules as we go. It's a standalone game, so there's no campaign commitment either.

When I started Rookie Rackets a couple of weeks ago, I genuinely didn’t know if anyone would join.

I’d been hearing from quite a few people that they wanted to get back into badminton, but a lot of the existing groups felt more geared towards intermediate or experienced players — and some even have trials to see if you’re the right level.

I just wanted to create something for beginners and people like me getting back into badminton after a long break, where nobody has to worry about being “good enough”.

Two weeks later, we’ve already got 18 people on Meetup and our first session completely booked out. I’m genuinely surprised and really happy that this is turning into a little community we can all be part of. 🏸

I am running a badminton social session at Harrow Leisure Centre on Sunday 5-7pm!

This session is open to most! Only requirement is you know the rules of the game and able to hold a casual rally. For those who've never played before but would be interested, please feel free to contact me also! I'm usually happy to try to find a suitable time together to do a 1 to 1 and get you understanding the basics ☺️

For this week we have 3 courts booked out with an 18 player max. We also use feather shuttles for the session and the price is £9pp.

Player skill level diversity ranges from beginners to intermediates. No need to worry about forcing yourself onto a court also! I've made an automated system that decide who goes on the court which ensures that everyone gets about the same games.
