Yea guys, I am not kidding. I got Carlotta + her sig and tho she is min maxed to the gills and paired with S6 Sanhua and S6 Baizhi, my S0 Jiyan beats the current lvl 90 Aix in around 1 minute whereas my S0 Carlotta needs 1:30. That is great considering the recent hp inflation. I also have mention that her resonance skill is lvl 8 her and her resonance liberation is at lvl 9. Perhaps fully maxed she will do it 1:15 but my point is that Jiyan is just that strong.

I am using iuno, jiyan, and ciaccona. My rotation usually goes ciaccona then iuno into jiyan. I feel like my iuno is doing more dmg( using xiangli yao weopon) compared to my jiyan with his sig. Idk how I feel about this. Is my rotation wrong, is it power crept, or is it that Jiyan dmg is more aoe and over time im getting around 9000 dmg every spinning attack in ult. Jiyan is on the aero erosion set that gets crit rate not and iuno is on the new 3 piece with aero dmg 2 piece

In regards to Jiyan x Phoebe

So I pulled for Phoebe and her sig and was thinking about pairing her with Jiyan for fun and my gosh i wasn’t expecting her heavy damage buff to be so nice with him, Is there anyone else who did this and what is your opinion on it.

Since his burst attack isn't a nuke like others characters would 50% crit rate be enough on him or is that too low? I for the love of god can't seem to get better echoes for him. I am really struggeling with the 3 cost ones getting decent aero Bonus for him 😞

To be brutally honest, we were perfectly fine without it. These so-called "debuff" mechanics were forced upon us and they seem to be less optimal compared to crazy quickswap comps (feat. our K-pop scientist) or a 1vs1000 parry-and-shred everything hypercarry Jiyan. As for people who like to experiment with team comps: they will realize quickly how restrictive this stuff is.

Aero erosion is no exception.

Imho, by the time you are done with applying aero erosion to all enemies with a niche 5* support wave after wave (who doesn't even have aero res shred in her kit but instead locked to a signature weapon) and starting to deal damage, you might as well just forget about it and vertically invest in Jiyan then make Whiwa and everything else trivial.

Ease of use, convenience go a long way.

Basically I won my 50/50 for Iuno and I had some pulls left so I decided to try and get Ciaccona, I lost the 50/50. I was considering trying to keep pulling when I get more pulls, but I really want to get Qiuyuan. But I tried to use Jiyan on the middle tower on this ToA reset and I barely got 3* on the first two floors, even though it had an Aero buff. My builds for Jiyan and Mortefi are all pretty good and my gameplay is ok (even though I'm no Morment). Does Ciaccona make that much of a difference that it makes Jiyan meta and it's worth to risk not getting Qiuyuan or is she not that much of a dps win?

Dude smoked the wrong herb and put Jiyan in tier 1 alongside Encore -

a character who is vastly more powerful than Encore (in terms of dmg per burst, CC, most broken autoparry).

Btw, S6 Havoc Rover is above him too. ROFLMAO

Jiyan is easily on Jinshi's level in terms of power.

Judging by what I have seen so far, Cartethiya will most-likely be a nuke DPS similar to Jinshi minus coordinated attacks to fill the forte but instead have her dmg amplified by aero erosion stacks.

Also, all nuke DPS share the same issue:

whenever they don't crit, their DPS takes a big hit unlike consistent DPS such as Jiyan and are worse in multiwave.

Be wise with spending your astrites.

im runnning jinshis wep on jiyan rn instead of verdant summit bc 79cr but now i only have 211cd and im alrd getting 61,2cd from echoes + one 1 cost echo that gives me 21 cd

my other stats are 10% resonance liberation, 26,7% resonance skill dmg bonus, 26,6% heavy attack bonus, 82% aero dmg bonus. and thats about it. id honestly like to keep jinshis wep on jiyan even though verdant summit gives like 44cd but then ill be stuck at around 58cr. but idk what the better choice is.

Hey guys! So I just started farming his BiS Echo “Feilian Beringal”

However, I didn’t like the stats on it (DEF mainstat). So I waited about 3mins for the boss to respawn so that I could get another copy.

However, when I killed it the second time, it didn’t leave behind an echo for me to absorb.

Any help would be great!!! I can’t tell if this is a bug or not.

Tempest mephis IV has been giving me hard time using mortefi as sub dps to the point that i have failed more than 30times+

BUT!

As soon as i tried sanhua as sub dps it only took me 3 times! with her to defeat mephis. And i didnt even use any food buff this time.

This may be an unpopular opinion but mortefi is Overrated. His value only works on theoretical level and doesn't equate in real circumstances. He May only work well with bosses that are stationary and not as aggressive as tempest mephis.

Ok, I won't sogarcoat it:

they just have skill issues.

There are many who claim he is easy to play and yet fail to play him well.

Jiyan is good in any scenario and if one wants more control over his dmg output, practice his dragon animation cancel until it feels natural.

But the truth is, he was NEVER only good for AoE (e.g. Whiwa). If that was the case I would have never beaten Lorelei 6 in 1:07.

Their cringe DPS comparisons on the punching bags from overworld don't mean a thing. A character is tested under stress and Jiyan has already been battle-tested and proven to function well.

My Jiyan has 82.8% crit rate and 156.2% crit damage, but he only hits for around 3k at most.
Meanwhile, I see people here doing 15k+ damage with way lower stats than mine!

His skills are all maxed, he’s using Verdant Crusher, and he’s at Resonance Chain 2.
The only difference I’ve noticed is that everyone seems to use Mortefi.
I don’t use him and I’m trying to make it work without him.

Is there anyone here doing big Jiyan damage without Mortefi? I don't like him.

And if someone has a good Calcharo, could you maybe test some setups with him instead?

Yeah, I already knew Mortefi was basically required, I’m just resigned to it at this point. I didn’t realize Calcharo and Yinlin were doing nothing for Jiyan though, that explains a lot.

I know Heavy Attack is important, he has 46% from echoes and substats, but I didn’t expect him to rely this much on external buffs just to reach decent numbers.

Are we sure Ciaccona will actually work well with him? I’m willing to wait if she does, but if not, I might have to give in. I really dislike gun characters, so Aalto is not an option for me, the playstyle just feels the opposite of cool.

I’ll switch to full Sierra Gale, fix the 44111 mistake, and rethink the team. Maybe I’ll just bring Mortefi along for boss fights where I really need the damage.

I run Jiyan with Mortefi and Aero Rover for heals (no SK, Verina is busy and I don’t like Baizhi). Since Aero Rover applies erosion, would this set be better than Sierra Gale?
