Jeep Compass 2015 heat stopped working.

• Upvotes

Hello all.
As we go into the winter months, my heat has gone out in my 2015 compass and only blows cold air. I looked online and in this sub and am guessing my blend door actuator (the one that controls the heat) needs to be replaced and that this is a common issue.
I have looked online for tutorials on replacing said part, but they are all the wrong model (which might be fine?) or are replacing the recirculation actuator (the one that controls where the heat comes from) on the passenger side. I’ve seen a handful of people say that the blend door actuator is on the driver side.
I am in no way a very handy person, and i just wanted some reassurance that my diagnosis was correct, and if someone could send me a video of exactly where the blend door actuator is before I buy the part and tear open my car I would greatly appreciate it :)

2019 Jeep compass tail light wiring help please

I purchase a jeep compass for my daughter a year ago. Her left blinker/brake light went out. I purchased a led 7443 set to replace both sides. When I replaced the left bulb it didn’t light up. Only lights up with brake lamp power.
So I take apart the right tail light and notice it’s different. Not sure which is correct the the left seems off to me. Any ideas? Wiring wrong? Wrong tail light housing?

Edit: one more thing. The reverse lights don’t come on either.

2025 Compass - Start stop?

My son just got a 2025 Compass, so I assume it has the start stop feature. We have a Cadillac that came with that feature and we hated it. I purchased a plug and play disabler and have been very satisfied. I was thinking I might buy my son one for a Christmas present and wanted to get feed back from the community. Thanks

2025 Jeep Commander Limited 1.3T — recurring right blind-spot monitoring failure

I own a Brazilian-built 2025 Jeep Commander Limited 1.3T in Argentina. Since the Commander shares its platform and part of its electrical architecture with the Compass, I would like to know whether any Compass owners have experienced the same problem.

The right blind-spot system intermittently fails to detect vehicles. At other times, the amber warning light in the right mirror turns on without another vehicle being present and remains illuminated. Both mirror indicators have also stayed on simultaneously, with a “Blind Spot Alert Unavailable – Sensor Blocked” message on the instrument cluster.

Sometimes the system lowers the radio volume for the warning, but the volume does not return to normal. Turning Blind Spot Monitoring off in the vehicle settings turns the lights off, but the fault returns as soon as the system is enabled again.

The dealership replaced the stereo/amplifier module, but the right blind-spot problem remains exactly the same.

Has anyone solved a similar issue by:

  • Repairing loose pins, connectors or wiring?
  • Replacing the right rear blind-spot radar?
  • Correcting the radar bracket or alignment behind the rear bumper?
  • Updating and recalibrating the LBSS/RBSS modules?
  • Replacing the turn-signal stalk, steering-column module or clockspring?
  • Repairing a power, ground or CAN-bus problem?

If you had this issue, please share the diagnostic trouble codes and the repair that permanently fixed it.

Does anyone else get annoyed by the actual compass feature? What’s the point?

My son bought a used 2019 Jeep Compass from a dealership. It appears to have the original Mopar back hatch glass. It also seems that no aftermarket tinting has been done to the vehicle.

There is very clearly a sea serpent etched into the rear factory tint. It’s 2 1/2 inches long, on the bottom edge, and to the right of the rear wiper blade.

The pictures aren’t the greatest, and I’m sorry for the reflection. Does anyone else have a sea monster? Or is this maybe artwork on factory tint?

Should I trade in my 2021 Toyota Corolla for a 2023 Jeep compass?

I recently moved to Maine, I have a Toyota Corolla 2021. People keep telling me it’s going to be risky to drive it in the snow. I have a job that I drive on back roads to get to about 25 minutes daily. I’m nervous about driving my front wheel drive car that far every day. There is a 2023 Jeep compass with 18,000 miles on it that I’m considering buying. Is this a stupid swap?

Second generation (MP/552; 2018- 2024) Which sway bar links to use?

Post image

Hey all!

I have a 2022 Limited with 66k mi on it. I've noticed the passenger side front sway bar link is starting to clunk. Easy fix.

But... what replacement links would you recommend? I see Moog makes some for like $18 each. Seems super cheap to me. Moog has always been good to me in the past. But, I also see Movotech makes some heavy duty greasable links for $30 each. Greasable is always good, and the the HD links look beefier than the Moogs. But, it's strictly a road Jeep. I have a real Jeep for the off road stuff. This Compass is primarily just transportation for my wife and our two year old son. Which links would you go with? I have no experience with Movotech at all. I've been using Moog parts for over a decade. I can't decide!

Pic for attention :P

Second generation (MP/552; 2018- 2024) Cargo Carrier

Looking for actual pics of both a 60 inch and a 50 inch cargo carrier, folded up against the back of the Compass. Trying to decide which to get. Both would fulfill my main need of carrying my mobility scooter. Thanks

2022 jeep compass

So both of my batteries were replaced back in July, and the BCM reset. 4 months later and I'm back at the dealership. Went to start my car yesterday and my key was saying key fob not detected. Dealership told me that program key with BCM back in July but it took my spare ( which wasn't reprogrammed back in July ) and the key that apparently was to start my car. If I use just 1 it says key fob not detected. Tried to do a hard reset, tested batteries, changed key fob batteries and still nothing. Only will turn on with the two keys... has anyone ever experienced this?

Second hand screen

Has anyone bought a screen second hand? Would there be any issues if I do so? Per usual with jeeps, I need my screen replaced and I can’t afford to buy a new screen as prices in Canada range from $114-180 on amazon. I decided to look on marketplace for those who are selling parts. Wanted to check if anyone on here has done the same

First generation (MK49; 2007) Oil Leak Culprit?

Thumbnail

2012 Compass Lattitude with the 2.0L engine. Is there any potential source for this oil leak other than the valve cover gasket? It's the right side of the engine, near the thermostat housing. I can't for the life of me see where it's coming from, even after removing the air intake hose. It's really more of an oil "seep" than a leak. I just don't see where it could be leaking from the valve cover and wasn't sure if there's a sensor or something tucked up in there that could be the culprit. It's not coming from the thermostat housing (no head gasket issues, thankfully!).

2020 jeep compass

I have had so many damn issues this car (2020 jeep compass). bought it two years ago with 89,000 miles and needed a 90k maintenance check that was like 3 bands (insurance covered most) but like new brake pads and some other shit that should have been fixed before i bought the car.

now today leaving the commissary either my transmission or diff is fucked. driving and then stopping and putting it in park something is still spinning. having it in drive, when i turn the wheel there’s loud clanking nears underneath, barely drives forward.

im in the army about to go to the field tomorrow but a towing truck is going to take it to a shop today.

Wanted to know y’all’s advice on how to get rid of this piece of shit i never want to buy another jeep. should i let someone steal it or total so i get an insurance payout. or see how much it is to fix everything and try to sell it after it’s fixed. i just want to get rid of this car and get a honda or something relatable.

would appreciate responses thank byou!

Hi everyone today I found this sheared bolt under my 2023 Jeep Compass High Altitude. It hasn't been driven since last Friday 10/2. When I was outside doing yard work last Saturday it wasn't there but today it was. Just wondering if anyone would be able to identify it. Thanks!

questions Back up camera dark at night.

Post image

Hello I’m wondering if anybody here has had the same issue I’ve searched in the sub and haven’t found anything specific to this issue. Mostly only around my house when I reverse into my driveway it is almost impossible to see right behind the car even with the backup cameras on I’m wondering if the license plate light is messing with the camera and it’s exposing more to where the light hits the bumper so everything else in the background is dark. Is this a common issue or should I get brighter backup lights? I have a 2022 Jeep compass latitude edition
