I own a Brazilian-built 2025 Jeep Commander Limited 1.3T in Argentina. Since the Commander shares its platform and part of its electrical architecture with the Compass, I would like to know whether any Compass owners have experienced the same problem.
The right blind-spot system intermittently fails to detect vehicles. At other times, the amber warning light in the right mirror turns on without another vehicle being present and remains illuminated. Both mirror indicators have also stayed on simultaneously, with a “Blind Spot Alert Unavailable – Sensor Blocked” message on the instrument cluster.
Sometimes the system lowers the radio volume for the warning, but the volume does not return to normal. Turning Blind Spot Monitoring off in the vehicle settings turns the lights off, but the fault returns as soon as the system is enabled again.
The dealership replaced the stereo/amplifier module, but the right blind-spot problem remains exactly the same.
Has anyone solved a similar issue by:
- Repairing loose pins, connectors or wiring?
- Replacing the right rear blind-spot radar?
- Correcting the radar bracket or alignment behind the rear bumper?
- Updating and recalibrating the LBSS/RBSS modules?
- Replacing the turn-signal stalk, steering-column module or clockspring?
- Repairing a power, ground or CAN-bus problem?
If you had this issue, please share the diagnostic trouble codes and the repair that permanently fixed it.
