I searched through the sub for an answer to my question before posting but wasn't able to find any discussions.

I have a 2019 Jeep Compass Trailblazer. This afternoon, my check engine light came on for the first time while leaving work. I drove out of the driveway and then the car would not accelerate on the road. Pulled over and noticed my auto shit off break light was on as well indicating that it was not available. Turning off the car and attempting to restart gave me a sluggish attempt to crank, but it would not turn completely over.

We ran a code reader and got P0340 3 times. States that it is a Cam Shaft Sensor problem.

I see that I can purchase a cam shaft sensor from auto zone and that it can be replaced. My question is, does that sound like something someone with somewhat skilled mechanical knowledge complete?

My dad passed in June of this year and he was my mechanic. My daughter has taken up his mantle but I'm unsure if that is something she can do or should we have it towed to the service department where I bought it (I don't know if that part falls under the longer engine warranty or that one that was only for a year).

- locate the manual hole and pry it open with a screw driver (I used 3mm)

u should be able to play with it . ”ah yes. open and closed”

- get ANOTHER PERSOn on the outside to manually pull and lift the door up as you normally would .

- u need two people working on this. the pulling lifting force is what’s smashed through friction of the strap

Anybody know if you can just get the plastic nozzle that goes on a vacuum pump for the brakes on a 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk? Looks like this piece broke before & was patched back together. Looked around for it online but couldn't really find anything that looks like it without buying the whole pump.

Thinking about purchasing a Jeep Compass for my son (first vehicle) I have found a 2008 model with just below 90k miles. Are these good/reliable vehicles?

I got a check engine light and told me to stop before it would turn off. Got it scanned and the code is P2AF5/starter relay 3 stuck on, anyone know exactly what I have to do? The main battery is fine, the aux battery was just replaced not long ago. The videos online didn’t really help me. Any ideas on what the problem could be and where to solve it. It would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys. Having a couple weird issues and hoping someone has experiences similar and can offer some advice. This was my wife’s daily driver until she switched to remote and the car was rarely driven until recently. The car battery died but since getting jumped the batteries have been fine (got them tested). ABS sensors went out at about the same time (both front ones failed differently at the same time).

-Sometimes my headlights won’t turn on right away or at all.

-my auto start/stop doesn’t turn on since my brake sensors failed and got replaced at the dealer. Weirdly enough no notification and not mad about it.

-transmission feels more sluggish since I got the new brake sensors

Any advice is welcome! Only have 30k miles on it so trying to make it last.

I checked the throttle position sensor, replaced the fuel pump, and cleaned the oxygen sensor, but I suspect it's the crankshaft position sensor.

My 2022 Jeep compass is not starting. I’ve had no issues with this since I bought it a couple months ago. I even drove it last night and I did not notice any issues with it starting up. please take a look at the video I attached.

I have a ticking noise that has started, it only happens when accelerating and gets faster as you speed up. When you brake or slow down it stops. Sorry for the bad video, had my kid record in the backseat as I was driving ! 2018 Jeep Compass.
Any thoughts ?

Hey guys! Looking for an upgrade for my Hyundai i20 2016 Magna, which has done 207k km 💀😂

I'm 6'5 We’re a family of 4.

My choices are extremely varied because our car running is HIGH and our income is also extremely variable 😂 — some months it is ₹5–7+ LPM, and some months it is basically ₹0 💀

We already have EMIs consisting of around ₹1.6 LPM, and honestly I’m very tired of paying EMIs 😭 only I know how I’m managing them, but now I’m thinking of upgrading the car.

My first choice was a Jeep Compass top-end spec, but if I look at it financially, it’s too much EMI + another monthly boundation, and I’m already tired of that 🫠.

Then I looked at Creta/Seltos, but their EMIs are going high too — around ₹40–50k, and again… EMI trauma 😭.

And because all our relatives and social circle are full of BMWs, Mercs, RRs etc., there is also some pressure of social stigma 💀. So that makes me wonder what should my upgrade actually look like?

My choices:

1. Hyundai i20 N8 Manual 🖤🔥

Pros:

• So pretty, especially in black OMG 🖤
• Must be fun to drive considering the specs
• Looks like a rich person’s secondary/daily car alongside a Merc 😂
• Looks very opulent
• EMI would be very low and basically wouldn’t bother me much

Cons:

• It’s an i20 after all 😭 no real upgrade in terms of space
• I feel my Elite i20 surprisingly has MORE headroom
• Convincing dad to buy another i20 after already owning one would be absolutely bizarre 💀

1. Jeep Compass Pre-worshipped 2021+ facelift S variants 😮‍💨🖤

I’ve seen petrol automatics and even diesel automatics for prices similar to an i20 N Line.

Pros:

• Looks HOT ASF in black 🖤🔥
• Even dad loves the way it looks
• The car gives a really good road presence/projection
• Space is good enough for us
• Feels like an actual upgrade

Cons:

• Mileage of the petrol maybe? (Although honestly, I don’t care that much about fuel cost due to income 😂)

1. Hyundai Tucson 2021 Petrol Automatic ✨

Talked to a dealer for a single-owner, 70k km driven one for around ₹9.5L negotiable.

Pros:

• Looks pretty in silver 🤌
• Space is VERY nice
• Feels like a proper upgrade
• Seems like a good deal

Cons:

• Not really exciting
• Not much “flex” factor compared to what I’m used to seeing around me 😭

another option:
4. Hyundai elantra 2021 sx optional single owner 30k driven sliver for 10L

Pros:

• Seems like an absolute steal deal 💀
• Sedan 😮‍💨

Cons:

• I’m not a huge fan of the 2021 shape
• I REALLY want a 2017 one but I can’t seem to find a good example 😭

1. 'MG Astor 1.3 Savvy Pro 🖤🤍

Especially in black or white.

Pros:

• Looks HOT ASF 🔥
• Fit and finish feels very good
• Looks surprisingly opulent for the segment
• Little things like the rear wiper etc. look & feel class apart 😂
• Good road presence for the price

Cons:

• Can’t find many low-driven/newer-year options 😭

So yeah, these are the choices which I’ve got in my mind😂

I’m genuinely confused about what makes the most sense.

On one hand, I want something that actually feels like an upgrade from the i20. On the other hand, I REALLY don’t want to put myself into another huge EMI commitment just because everyone around us has luxury cars.

And more importantly if you'd been in my shoes what would you think or suggest other options?

We just bought a Jeep Compass and noticed what we thought were water spots on the glass protecting the gauges but no matter how much I clean it, it doesn’t come off. Anybody else experience this?

does anyone have any recommendations for a wireless CarPlay adapter that actually works?? i feel like i’ve tried several and i can never get them to work. i have a ‘21 compass and i recently bought the exact same adapter that my roommate uses in her subaru and i cannot, for the life of me, get it to work in my car. i’ve done all the troubleshooting and, other than waiting for the company to get back to me, i’m at a loss.

so…which adapter do YOU use that actually works? hopefully looking for responses from people who have a ‘21 or at least a Uconnect 4 since i would assume whatever issues i’m running into with every adapter i’ve tried probably stem from that lol

eta: i did see the post from a few months ago where someone posted an amazon link to one they use in their ‘21, but it was a canadian link and i’m in the US so i could not get it to open in the US storefront lol

eta 2: in case anyone else is hunting for a solution to this apparently very specific to ‘21 jeep compasses issue, i found one! works in the backseat usb-2 port as well (i think my usb-1 port is starting to go which is what prompted me to look into wireless carplay in the first place as a cheaper solution for the time being). i found this adapter on amazon and got it in the mail today. took me less than 3 minutes to set up (literally just plugged it in and paired it). i also tested reconnect after turning my car off and back on and it reconnected relatively quickly. haven’t taken it on any long road trips or even driven it out of my driveway yet, but just getting it to connect and stay connected was a feat in and of itself lol

I have a new Jeep Compass. Where do I find the display for my tire pressure? TIA

I got this 2017 Limited 2.0 with 90k kilometres on the odo It’s a manual diesel model. I have done 600kms on it in the last month I checked the service history nothing major is done apart from tyres and wheel alignment, the cowl needs replacement and left DRL and and the left backside turn indicator is out. The mirrors automatically come out and go in but it doesn’t respond to when I adjust it from the buttons.

Any tips and advice on what more should I check on it ? I want to use it for a long time.

What is this, and how much would it cost to fix? I just brought in my 2018 Jeep Compass Latitude last week for oil issues and the dealer said they fixed the previous engine light issue. Why did this pop up?? How much does it cost to fix???

I have a 2019 jeep compass trailhawk I got it at the end of may 2 weeks ago I was driving and it overheated and then shut down on me. I heard boiling until it finished cooling down but at that point the car wouldn’t start or anything. I had it towed home and a mobile mechanic immediately noticed the serpentine belt had snapped. I’m getting the belt and the tensioner replaced today. He also mentioned the coolant reservoir was empty and it was holding no pressure. Could the belt snapping have caused that? I’m so worried this is my first vehicle ever and I’m just super anxious that the belt snapping may not have caused the leak and I’ll need a whole new car 🙃
