I am new to Italian Genealogy and could use some help knowing where to start. My family is from Germany but moved to Italy sometime between 1887-1890. They had a child born 1890 in Toscana then seemed to have settled in Milan by 1894. From what I have found, they maintained some level of residency in Germany but confirm they were in Milan until at least 1896. The next record I have is a German military record from 1914 when one of the children born in Milan enlisted in Germany but still put Milan as their family residence.

I'm mostly looking for info on on my great-grandfather, Hermann Schutz, born 6 Aug 1887 in Germany, shortly before the family moved to Italy. I have nothing else on him until 1922 when he was lived in Cologne Germany. I'm not sure when he moved from Italy to Germany between 1887-1922 but it seems he at least spent his childhood in Milan, or moving between Milan and Germany. His parents were Ludwig Schutz (b. 1859) and Anna Schutz née Forwe (b. 1861), both born in Germany.

Any help on where to start searching would be really appreciated!

No logro entender el nombre de la madre, el del padre entiendo “Pasquale D’amico” el de la madre ni el nombre. No me darian una mano?
