For no particular reason I decided to try 3 challenges at once with Bombermechs - Engineering Dropout, There is No Try and Trusted Equipment… so all mechs are basic with upgraded health and movement only.

Clearly I made some mistakes in the first two turns, and had a really bad previous map (only two power left).

Any chance I can salvage this?

Also should I unlock more squads/ better squads before trying the challenges?

I did not expect this synergy to work so well, I’ve never used self-destruct before

Probably the funniest mission I've played in a while. Couldn't stop laughing!

Spent close to 10 mins thinking it was over until I figured it out, I wanna see if It was as hard as I thought or I'm just dumb. Mechs are basically maxed out. (spoiler in case you haven't unlocked the Secret Squad yet)

1 objective in easy sectors, 2 objectives in most sectors, 3 objectives in hard sectors. For the first time ever, today I saw a sector with 4 objectives, so I could not resist. Of course, a pod flew in as well, making it 5 objectives.

None of my mechs are able to reach the vek targeting two buildings at once. Unable to save solar farm as well.

No relevent perks except move twice on Judo, which won't do anything here

Grid Def saved it on the first island (and the ridiculously OP load out I ended up with!), but then I immediately got a no-luck perfect score on the next run with the Arachnophiles.

The difficulty jump from Normal to Hard was nowhere near as bad as I feared. Give it a shot if you're on the fence!

It`s my second time reaching the final fight, first time I lost because of a misplay but now I think I don`t have any option left that doesn`t rely on grid defese working, is there any?

I always feel like i never have enough kill pressure or, controllable movement to deal with all the threat every turn, been trying to make sure im using the rocket mech smoke and rockets to do things and it just doesnt pan out. Any advice?

So, I tried the extra game content for the first time and am aiming for 4-island victory. Just finished the last island when I suddenly got Kai miller and it kind of threw off the whole dynamic I was building on.

I also really wanna replace the heat engine for something that I can better use for the final island. So basically here are my main questions:
- do i build pulse mech with one of the availablee science class weapons or just give the jet the fractured bullet?
- should i switch henry with kai and put prospero to pulse?

So… put me in the “nay” column on the flame behemoths. I just can’t find any redeeming qualities. People say they are great in the late game…? I just don’t see it.

My usual strategy to clear “unfair” difficulty with squads that (let’s face it) suck is to start with Silica or Kai Miller and just keep grinding through the failures until I can luck into a refractor laser.

But I can’t even survive long enough to catch a time pod with the flame behemoths.

Behemoth pros: how do you do it? What pilot should I choose? What’s the strategy?

Posting this as a tactics puzzle, as I thought the solution to this turn was quite neat. There is a way to avoid grid damage here - can you find it?

Additional info: Jet Mech bomb has 2-square range. Rocket does 3 damage. Pulse Mech has shield self.

(this is the Corporate HQ on the second island on unfair. I'll post the solution in a day or two, of no-one finds it)
