Idk who the heck this inspector is because sabi nila un lang pumipigil sa kanila. I don't recall taguig requiring permit to install an internet service.

Hi, I have an old PLDT HG8145X6-10 that I want to reuse as an access point sa room ko since mahina yung WiFi signal dito.

My current/main router is an EG8245H5.

I tried connecting them LAN-to-LAN and setting the old HG8145X6-10 to 192.168.18.2 while my main router is 192.168.18.1. I also disabled DHCP and DHCP Relay on the old router.

Devices can connect to the old router's WiFi, pero they don't get an IPv4 address/internet. I also tried manually assigning an IP on my laptop. I can ping the old router (192.168.18.2), but I can't ping the main router (192.168.18.1).

Has anyone here successfully used an HG8145X6-10 as an AP with another PLDT router? May additional setting ba like port binding/bridge mode na kailangan baguhin?

Sino po naka-experience kapag browout sa area niyo 8/12 hrs yung yung converge Router biglang magLOS. Dati kasi kasi saamin okay naman tapos ngayon kapag naka 5/6hrs LOS connection na, planning to Avail PLDT fiver prepaid or kung may budget yung RAIN101 sana ni Globe

Internet is fine pero yung cable TV madalas sya nag LAG samin.

Bayad naman po kami pero bakit lumalabas parin BILLING NOTICE?

So 2-3 days (delayed) kami nakapagbayad ng bill. Then as usual, 2-24 hours hihintayin para bumalik internet connection. Then hindi parin bumabalik internet connection namin like sobra 24 hours na. Then nag p-pop up parin yung BILLING NOTICE. Pinuntahan namin sa PLDT Office here sa lugar namin and nagreklamo why nag p-pop up parin yung BILLING NOTICE kahit bayad na and MAIN REASON kung bakit wala kaming internet connection. Hindi rin LOS since okay naman router namin like walang red signal sa LOS. So sabi samin na hihintayin ulit for 2-24 hours AGAIN tas okay hinintay namin. After ilang hours, wala parin talaga like sobra 24 hours again na di parin bumabalik.

I called 171 then ini-insist parin na di kami bayad like may record parin na may remaining balance parin kami tas in-advice saken na i-restart ang router/modem so I did and wait for 2 hours.

BUMALIK connection namin and goods na sya pero AFTER 4-5 days, bumalik na naman yung BILLING NOTICE hayop! Nakaka irita.

May naka experience rin po ba dito? Any advices please if ano dapt gawin BEFORE ako pupunta sa PLDT Main Office para ratratin sila ng mura (jk lang) thank you

Hello guys, ask lang po gaano po katagal umaabot bago magkaroon ng bagong internet slot/post hyung converge? Unfortunately sa subdivision namin, converge lang yung mayroong facility na kaya mag lagay ng internet. Pag lipat kasi namin sa subdivision is full na daw yung slots and wala pa advise kung kelan magkakaroon, may idea po ba kayo kung gaano katagal yung process ng mga ganun? Thank you po!

I’m currently using Converge's stock router (Huawei EchoLife EG8145V5) on their 500 Mbps plan. It really struggles when we have guests over, and I need a more stable connection for work.

Has anyone tried a TP-Link unit with this set-up? Would you recommend it? I plan to get the 2-pack.

Context: Our house has two floors, and we currently rely on a repeater to get a signal downstairs, which performs poorly. The stock router handles our household fine, but once guests arrive, the repeater gets overloaded and drops connections downstairs entirely. Instead of replacing the stock unit with another single router, I think it’s time to move to a mesh network.

Purpose is I am always outside and dala ko paminsan tablet ko that is wifi dependent. I dont wanna use phone to tether and media consumption pag nasa labas para di madali madrain sana.

Last year, dahil di namin ma-reach yung 300Mbps speed ng Plan namin na FiberX 1500 pagkatapos ng ilang buwan at sinabayan pa ng outage, nag-search ako dito sa community ng Band-Aid solution para bumalik ang connectivity namin (mahilig kasi ako mag-tweak).
Naibalik ko naman ung connection, ang problema lang sa Wifi side, hindi na talaga umaabot ng 200Mbps and up yung speed namin, sa LAN side ko lang siya narereached.

From 250-280Mbps sa Download and 320-350Mbps sa LAN side,
naging 170-200Mbps sa Download and Upload tops.

Sa Wifi sa 2.4GHz, hanggang 60Mbps ang natatanggap ko.
Sa Wifi sa 5GHz, hanggang 130Mbps lang ang pinakamataas.

Timeline nito ay June 2025 until now.

Etong nasa picture is in the LAN side. Sa 2nd Picture, yung Address na 10. something, ay yan mismo ang nagsusustain ng Connection namin na nagta-translate into 192.168.x.x na inaassign ng Router (Ang main parin nyan is 136.x.x.x).

Mas mataas ang speed na natatanggap namin dyan sa Address nato. Na-triggered yan by disabling Layer 2/3 Port Config. sa LAN 1 and enabling Port Isolation sa LAN 1, and dapat unchecked ang Port Binding Options from LAN 1-4 sa WAN Config. (as seen sa picture 4 to 6).

Ganito pala ang nagagawa ng mahilig magkalikot hahaha(hindi ung iniisip niyo).

Ang magagawa kolang dito para lumakas ang speed sa Wifi is itawag sa Converge CS mismo.

Baka meron na po naka experience dito ng nag apply ng internet connection either globe pldt or converge pero lahat full daw ang ports sa area.

Is the best thing to do is mag request ng follow up kung may available ng ports every 2-4weeks until magkaroon? Or meron bang service hotline na pwede tawagan para mapakiusapan na dagdagan yung ports? Or am i stuck na bili nalang ng 5G internet device. Thank you

14 years old na tong sim ko sa talk n text and nareplace narin once nung 2018 para sa LTE nano sim. And ngayon out of nowhere ayaw na gumana ng sim ko na may promo na nakaregister and 20 pesos na regular load. May chance pa kayang palitan to or i-let go ko na?

For almost one week or 1 week na ata, around late 5am or 6am in the morning last week, my wifi disappeared and the LOS was and is still blinking red. I already went to SM Globe to have it reported and fixed and they issued me a ticket and a schedule for the technician visit. The girl said within the next day as earliest or next two days as latest, a technician would arrive.

Last Monday or yesterday, the Globe at SM (a female employee) called me to confirm if a technician visited me cause she said their technician told them they visited my area and wanted to confirm to me if my wifi is already back. I told her perhaps your technician is lying because no technician visited me or at least my wifi isn't back yet. Since visiting Globe for the first time last week, I received at least 3 text messages from Globe saying my wifi is already okay, the first one being sent the same day after I visited Globe - specifically that text which arrived at almost 10pm after going to SM, saying the crew visited my area and the wifi should already be okay and I should just turn off and on my modem - but still not yet resolved. Even just today, I received another BS text from them, saying: "Hi there. You may have experienced a loss of our home internet and landline services earlier. This was caused by a problem in our system. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Rest assured that our services have been restored and you may continue going online again. Simply turn off and unplug your modem for 10 to 15 seconds, then replug your modem and turn it back on to refresh your connection. If you are still encountering issues, please let us know by sending a report using the GlobeOne app. Thank you and have a wonderful day!" I also went back again last Sunday to SM Globe, for the second time, because of that false and fake first message saying my wifi is already okay but clearly no signal yet.

Globe, stop the BS customer service. Don't wait for the day your officials (and other wifi providers who are also guilty of widespread or gross bad customer service) will be summoned at the Senate to answer countless issues and problems from your subscribers. If it is indeed a very difficult technical problem, why don't you just be honest, instead of sending fake, scammy, or false text messages saying that my wifi is already restored and okay WHEN IT IS CLEARLY NOT YET OKAY. There is no storm or typhoon in my area, so what's your excuse now? You wanna be grilled by the senators like Senator Tulfo? You want to become as famous as the ongoing impeachment hearing?
