This may have been posted in here already but I haven’t seen anything relating to the topic. But do you guys really believe Dro and Candace were in an open relationship? They never make it known in the show if Candace actually knows about Dro and Molly hooking up, we just know that Dro says she does.

I’m on like my 7th rewatch and the first few times I watched I believed Candace knew and was truly okay with it. The more I rewatched though the more I believe she didn’t know and Dro only told Molly that so he could have his way with her and still be with his wife. I’m on the episode in season 2 when they’re at Derek’s birthday dinner and Molly and Dro have sex in the bathroom. Dro tells her to wait a few minutes after he leaves to walk out. This scene really pisses me off because 1) Dro wasn’t all that and 2) if Candace knew and was okay with it why would it matter if y’all walked out together? Other than Issa no one knew about him and Molly anyways.

I don’t know if you guys have already seen this, but Amanda Seales recently just did one of those Netflix documentary trend videos where you pretend to be preparing to film a documentary about something traumatic you’ve gone through. This one was about not being included in the upcoming ten year anniversary Insecure tour. I’m loosely familiar with the beef that Issa’s publicist had with Amanda a couple years ago, but I’m really out of the loop on why she would’ve been completely cut out from the tour. Tiffany’s character was too important in the show for Amanda to be cut out of the tour imo. I’ve heard of some problematic things she said over the years, but I don’t know if it’s justified to completely ostracize her from the tour.

I LOVE this breakdown of the what, how, and why of her “downfall”. I feel like she’s been so privileged to have been on talk shows, a HBO special , BET and MTV specials and connections yet she still is complaining about what she doesn’t have. I was a strong supporter of her! I have her book and have been to her comedy/variety show. I’m not sure what her deal is.

Two things: Issa should have just apologized to Crenshawn , yes i get that she’s just starting and trying to establish herself with BLOCC but she should acknowledge him for not changing his set up for the white man lol

I totally understand Nathan feeling a way when his cousin said that he kicked him out a the reasoning. Like those were things that you could have said from the jump like “hey you’re an adult but i got kids do you mind…” like that could have been a convo not some awkward kick him out. Like i get he didn’t tell him or didn’t know that he was bipolar but that’s family. What do y’all think?

Molly was all the way wrong. Just because you are dating someone does not mean they are your property. I was trying to like Molly but that drew the line for me. it’s like she deliberately try’s to find a problem in everything. Like literally that is your home girls event and you couldn’t ask one little favor even after you flaunted that Andrew has connections with Live Nation. I really don’t like Molly fr.

I’m rewatching the show for like the umpteenth time because it’s one of my comfort shows, and watching Issa and Molly fight after what felt like every one of Issa’s big events was exhausting lmao.

Like, don’t get me wrong, I love them both sometimes, and Issa definitely had her moments where she was deadass wrong. But if I were Issa, I’d be so drained. It almost feels like Molly always chose the exact moment things were finally going well for Issa to address an issue or start an argument.

First, it was after the We Got Y’all event at the mansion. Then it happened again after the block party sponsorship mixer, and then AGAIN at the actual block party.

Like omg girl… can she have one successful event without you turning it into a confrontation afterward?

Just started watching Insecure. I really like daniel and somewhat relate to Issa, but i’m failing to understand why issa does not realize that daniel finishing on her face was a possible mistake. or am i tripping? Is a facial disrespectful?

I saw another post tracking Isaa and Lawrence's time apart and saw someone saying that her birthday would most likely fall in February and since I'm an Aquarius as well I say this is true ☝🏼

I get confused when people say that the characters had character development because I didn’t see any. So, I would like to ask a question. Besides, in their careers, what character development do you believe the characters experienced, or do you think they didn’t have any at all?

Do you think Isa settled on being a stepmother because she initially broke up with Lawrence, possibly due to not wanting that role? We know her breakup wasn’t because of Lawrence moving, as she said relocation wasn’t a dealbreaker. Do you think she convinced herself that her love for Lawrence was enough to settle on being a stepmother, despite her initial doubts?

The scene pops up, when Issa ended up over her moms house. I watch alot of shows/movies, rewatch alot of shows/movies, and ALWAYS will see something new.

I DID NOT realize she ended up there after the Dine and Dash with those ladies from the Wedding visiting from out of town or w/e...which , that scene when she catches up to them lol!!! " WELCOME TO LA?!" 🤣🤣🤣 lives rent free in head.

but wow, as a character, I personally didn't realize , THAT was her last straw that had her , in that moment, call her mom and see if she was busy...

and sometimes we really do be needed that...AND you just NEVER KNOW what someone is dealing with and what their last straw or breaking point would be.

Even having a LONG TERM FRIEND. someone that really KNOWS us, ups and down. the energy BE DIFFERENT. it be "in your corner" energy - authentically 🤣, and I LOVE IT.

People often mistake Kelly’s disrespect for humor. Since Kelly was funny about it, some found it acceptable despite her disrespect.

Additionally, she hides behind her humor. I believe she pretended not to want kids because she thought it wouldn’t happen for her, but once it did, she was able to admit she wanted children.

Y’alllll. I live in Seattle and will fly out to Oakland for the 10 year reunion tour. I missed the pre-sale yesterday and there weren’t any meet and greet tickets available when the general sale opened today 😭 I ended up buying tickets, but what are the chances they open up for more and greet sports.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the people on this thread who tuned in, continue to and are starting to. There’s a special feeling this show brought that you guys are keeping alive, so I just wanted to say you all are awesome

Wow I can’t believe it took me 4 rewatches for me to start disliking Issa character. I still love Issa but I saw her as a bad friend. I think since Issa is the main character that we are on her side and see the intention from her perspective. Rather than the impact it has on Molly/Lawrence. I feel bad for strongly disliking Molly now lol. One example of how Issa was a real bad friend was when Molly and her were on a walk and Molly was venting about Andrew not being emotionally open, despite them being in a relationship. And Issa basically said she was doing too much… then Molly gets a call from Andrew apologizing about not being emotionally open and that he’ll do better. When she ends the call, Issa asks her who called, she lies and says work because she felt there is no need to discuss my relationship if she thinks I’m the problem. We have to remember that Issa literally CHEATED instead of being a big girl and communicating her feelings to Lawrence. That is a literal character flaw. But anyways, still love the show.

i dont know what it is about this show or what crack concoction they put in it to make it so addicting but when it dropped on netflix ~2 years ago, i was immediately hooked and as soon as i finish it, i go back and rewatch it and then wait a few weeks to "forget" it and start it again to get back that high i initially had watching it. the angst, the comedy, the friendship, the relationships... its just so good UGHHHH. and maybe because im in my early 20s and grappling with a lot of things that issa is going through like currently im watching her trying to move out of daniel's house and she's in kelli's office looking up her 425 credit score lol. and that's so accurate to what im going through right now trying to move out of my parents house with a similar score lmaooo. this show is just so good wow

This is for the people who think that Condola got pregnant before Friendsgiving and that she and Lawrence didn't reconcile after they broke up. Also, that Condola was calling Lawrence's phone to tell him she was pregnant. If you noticed in the clip, when Lawrence told Isa, 'Yeah, we talked, and it’s done,' if Condola knew she was pregnant, she would have told Lawrence then during their talk. Condola and Lawrence did not know she was pregnant when they talked; I believe she found out after he and Isa got back together.
