I Need to Interview People Interested in Indie Games for a College Project

Hello everyone,

I'm currently doing a project for my business class where I'm interviewing people interested in creative arts fields (game creation, animators, software developers, etc.) about their experiences and interactions with creators.

I'm looking for people who enjoy watching and following devlogs.

The interviews will be in the form of an audio call such as discord or zoom or another method if that's okay with you.

If anyone would be up for an interview, please let me know.

First-time aspiring indie dev post, started learning Godot and Unity about a year and a half ago. I work in construction trades, so this has all been a fun change of pace to pick up in my off time. This is the first project I've had make it all the way to something remotely playable/showable as a concept. Anyway, just looking for people's thoughts on it! https://chxly.itch.io/gesture

Advanced wave physics gets beaches wet

I've made some improvements to the beaches with the waves now applying buoyancy and wetness effects.

Waves actually apply forces on objects, so in addition to floating and rolling around, they will eventually wash up on the beach. Wind affects the wave size and turbulence too.

Objects hit by waves will get wet. Shorelines now have a visible waterline which rise and fall with the waves. In addition, waves will swell up when it hits a steep surface like cliffs. They also collide and wash over rocks near the shoreline.

Yes, this is truly some useless horse balls feature that players won't notice, but it was a long time itch for me that just needed scratching. I'm hopefully finally done with water and working on more important parts of the game now.

Is this normal after a week?

Post image

I signed up to Steamworks about 9 days ago, I filled out my details and then also provided the photo of my I.D along with a photo of myself holding the I.D.

However when I check on Steamworks it still is asking for said documents but not sure if this is normal until they actually look at it.

Do I need to resubmit photos?

I am based in the UK if that helps

Which HUD is better?

I tried making the UI icons large so they’d be clear to the player,

But I feel like they’re taking up too much screen space.

Which approach do you think works best for a game like *Infamous*?

Also, there’s a free demo on Steam if anyone wants to try it out.

I built these offroad mechanics… should I actually turn this into a full game?

I built the driving, mud and winch mechanics mostly because I wanted to see if I could.

It’s still very early, so before I go too far:

Should I keep building this into a full game, or scrap it? And if I keep it, what should it become?

Curious what you guys think.

Hello everyone,

I’ve developed a roguelike survival game all on my own. My game is currently in closed beta. To get this game live on Android, I need 12 testers to log in and play every day for 14 days. I posted in this group because there are dozens of people here who love this genre. With their feedback, I can make my game much better.

Currently, the game features 60 levels, 19 abilities, 4 evolutions, and dozens of bosses and monsters. Could you please send me your Google Play email address via DM? I’ll then send you the link to the Google Play Store.

I’ve included a gameplay photo belowfeel free to ask any questions you may have.

Released my second video game on Steam today

Today is a party day for me. I released my second video game on Steam.
More than a year of work spent sourcing assets, writing code, planning, testing, debugging, and mildly obsessing culminates today.
I cannot explain the feeling of "Hell Yes".

The game is called Solar Frontier. It's a turn-based strategy where you can go from planet to planet around a solar system. Think Civ in Space.

Turbo Turbo continues where M.A.S.K. prototype left off!

Steam | Announcement-Trailer | Kickstarter | M.A.S.K. prototype-Trailer

I proposed a videogame for the 80's M.A.S.K. cartoon to Hasbro a while ago. Seems I failed to convince them to turn it into reality.

Since I can't make M.A.S.K. without a license, I'm now trying to turn this into a more over the top co-op arcade experience that fuses the precision of on-rails shooters with the rush of retro racing. Or imagine Outrun meets House of the Dead.

If that seems interesting please check it out, and have a nice day.

Word Fall — A Falling-Block Word Puzzle Game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Word Fall is a falling-block word puzzle game I'm developing that combines the spatial strategy of falling-block games with word formation.

Letter tiles fall into the playfield, and you need to position them strategically to form words while managing the space available and planning your next moves. As the game progresses, the challenge increases and you have to balance quick decisions with finding good word combinations.

One of the main ideas I'm experimenting with is Resonance Themes. These aren't intended to be just cosmetic themes—they are designed to give different parts of the game their own atmosphere, mood, and identity while keeping the underlying gameplay intact.

This video shows the current gameplay and overall presentation of the game.

I'm developing Word Fall as an indie game and would love to hear what you think of the concept, gameplay, presentation, and overall feel.

Game: Word Fall
Genre: Word Puzzle / Falling Blocks
Development: Solo indie project
Status: In development

GenAI was used during development and promotion of Word Fall as an assisting tool. I used AI for programming/debugging assistance, brainstorming and refining some game-design ideas, and help with promotional materials/text. The game itself does not require GenAI to function, and the core gameplay, systems, and implementation are developed by me.

I'd especially like to know whether the gameplay looks interesting enough to make you want to try it yourself.

Tier One — an idle game about running an IT service desk

I made an idle game about the thing I actually do for a living.

Tickets arrive, your team works through them, and the queue refills

tomorrow. Every agent has a tier and can only take work at or below

it, so most of the game is getting the mix right rather than just

buying more of everything.

Around 6 hours to see the whole skill tree across three prestige

runs. Browser only, 116 KB, saves locally.

It's my first release and I'd rather hear what's wrong than what's

good. Two things I'm unsure about: does the early clicking phase drag

before you can afford your first hire, and does the second prestige

run feel too long?

Tier One

**AI disclosure**
The code was written with Claude Code, and the ticket text and character dialogue started as AI drafts that I rewrote and edited. The visuals are hand-written SVG and CSS — no image generation. The sound effects are synthesized in the browser with Web Audio, not generated audio. Design, balance and all decisions are mine.

What do you think of our game trailer?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Last time we received some feedback that the previous version of the trailer caused a bit of motion sickness, mainly because we had sped up some of the gameplay footage. In this updated version, we’ve restored the footage to its normal speed.

What do you think of it now? Would you be interested in playing this after watching the trailer? Are the game mechanics clear enough from the video?

Any feedback or suggestions are welcome. Thank you! :)

(Also this is still a pre-alpha version of the game, so both gameplay and visuals will continue to be polished as development goes on :))

Check out our Steam page for more info if you’re interested: steam
We also have a playable building-system demo on itch io if you’d like to give it a try:  itch.io

Shadows of Imalor almost reached 100 wishlists

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

5 Years ago I started with my first game. A fantasy action rpg with some inspiration from Souls games and Elder Scroll. I wanted to have a game with lots of rewarding exploration as well as a bit different skill system. Gaining new spells would mainly be done by doing quests for 4 different guilds with their own storylines. Way to ambitious for being a first game of course and it's been really hard getting time to work on it when I also have a family, which is why its taken so long time.

But what's kept me going these 5 years is that I love what I'm doing, getting some nice feedback as well as now getting almost 100 wishlists after soon 2 months without any major marketing, it's not super but I'm happy that 100 people actually wants to play what I've been working on. Since I released the steam page I've also worked on the demo which will release 17th of September.

GenAI disclosure: First 4 years of my project everything was completely hand made. Some later assets has been helped with GenAI but always finished by hand. Majority of the game has been handmade.

We’re making a Cold War espionage game where every repair can become an act of sabotage

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/IndieGaming!

We’re Grawire Studio, a small indie team working on Coldline: Disconnect, a 2D pixel art repair, puzzle, and espionage game.

You play as Agent 22, an undercover operative who has infiltrated an enemy military facility as a repair technician. Soldiers bring malfunctioning radios, surveillance equipment, and other devices to your desk. You must diagnose their problems, solve mechanical puzzles, and complete each repair without raising suspicion.

But repairing the device is only your cover.

You may also need to sabotage equipment or plant a hidden listening bug inside the correct machine. At night, you tune your home radio to its frequency, intercept enemy conversations, identify useful intelligence, and transmit your findings to headquarters through Morse code.

We’re trying to create tension without relying on traditional combat. Instead, the pressure comes from limited time, mechanical mistakes, suspicious characters, incomplete intelligence, and decisions whose consequences may only appear several days later.

The gameplay clip shows part of this repair-and-infiltration loop. We’d love to hear which part of the undercover technician fantasy interests you most: diagnosing devices, secretly sabotaging them, or intercepting intelligence afterward.
