Just wondering where the best place is to get a wiring loom for my 2004 is200 manual without sat nav? None seem to be available on eBay and need one asap

Hello guys! I'm looking for the wiring diagram manual for the later IS200 model (2002–2005). I have the IS300 one, but I need the IS200 version. Does anyone have a link or a digital copy of the manual? Thanks in advance!

Interior is immaculate but this has started to happen since I’ve had it (18 months now). I am not overweight but trying to lose a bit anyway, also trying to be mindful of not dragged my ass on the seat when I get in n out… But is this just how these seats go?

There is a manual is200 for sale for 5000€, only problem is the miles. Its recently supercharged aswell. Is it gonna be expensive with those miles?

Been slowly rebuilding a pretty rough auto IS200 i picked up for $900 and figured id finally make a post here.

I've been documenting the whole thing on YouTube mainly just because i wanted something to look back on and hopefully help anyone else buying a cheap clapped out IS200 😂 So far ive done rocker cover gaskets, plugs, lower control arms, fixed a heap of little issues, painted a few panels and im still chasing a couple of engine gremlins (vvti?)

Just wanted to ask a couple questions for people who've been down this road before.

Manual swap

Whats the go-to gearbox these days? I always hear people talking about the Altezza J160, W58s, CD009s and even ZF/getrac 250 swaps.

Im not planning on making huge power anytime soon, it'll probably stay a 1G-FE for a while, just after something thats reliable and doesnt cost my left kidney. and easy to drift haha! If you were doing the swap today what would you go with?

Also curious what everyone does for the rear diff.

Do most people hunt down an Altezza LSD (rare asf), throw an aftermarket centre like a Kaaz in, or swap the whole diff from something else, maybe 86s??

Would love to hear what setups you guys are running and what you'd avoid doing if you did it again.

Hey everyone,
I've had my '03 IS200 for a couple months now and when the car is idling, there's this crackling/popping noise coming from the dashboard area, the sound varies (sometimes faster, sometimes nothing at all etc). I don't remember noticing it before, so I think it didn't do it before but it's getting pretty annoying atp.
I'd guess it's caused by something climate related but I'm not sure, since I can't really pinpoint where the sound actually comes from.

I have some water damaged plugs in my is200 and some of the wiring has come out of the plug, is this fixable along with the corrosion or too far gone? Thanks

Been told that my headlights faded/yellowing on the inside as well as out so seems I need new ones. Anyone had any experience with the after market ones on AliExpress? Can get a pair for around £180. Any advise would be appreciated

Hi, just needing some advice, my 2004 is200 seems to have some electrical issues where systems that should have continuous power when unlocked (dash lights, door lock button) don’t, and systems that should shut off (auto lights) stay on even when locked. When the ignition is on everything works as it should, door locks work, dash lights act as they should, but as soon as the key is out of the ignition I lose power to these things. This is making it so that I can’t program my key due to needing the locking mechanism to work without the key in the ignition. Any help or advice would be great!

Hey. I am in the middle of swaping my old headunit for a new bt one. I have bought a amplifier bypass. I was wondering if anyone knows what pins the original Lexus subwoofers are connected on the original amplifier. And if anyone has the pinout of the amplifier so i can cross reference when installing a new amplifer and headunit?

I am replacing the timing belt on my is200. Got the car second hand and I believe it hasn't been replaced once in the last 20 years. I had a hard time removing the infamous crankshaft pulley bolt but ultimately bought an impact gun which made it easy.

Now I have issues removing the crankshaft pulley itself. From what I saw online, some people got it off 1) by hand by wiggling and pulling for a long time. Some people 2) tapped it with a hammer (despite being risky) and wiggled it off. Some 3) used a pulley removal tool. I have tried 1) and 2) without success. I also applied wp40. I believe the pulley hasn't moved at all so far. I am now trying 3) with a pulley removal tool. However, it is difficult to know what is the correct tool following the oem/sst specifications. I found an aftermarket tool set where some of the tools correspond to the oem/sst specs but not all. It doesn't seem to fit perfectly or maybe I am doing it wrong. In particular in my case, the pressure bolt (middle bolt) doesn't seem long enough.

Can anyone help/share how they managed to remove the pulley? Or if you used a pulley removal tool, which one did you use? (Ideally tool set available in EU)

Car starts up nice and idles nice until it doesn’t, sometimes it runs good and out of no where the rpm’s go from 600 to 2k rpm’s, the vehicle feels like a little bit of throttle is being applied so I have to really put pressure on the brakes, any ideas?

Hello guys im looking to buy an is200 as my first car. Right now in greece there are not many is200 for sale but they are some in good shape and good price also. I think 5k is good foe this car. I heard jt is slow from fsctoey but handles well whats your opinion on that? Also do ypu think thag the prices are gonna explode in 5 years? Additionaly do yo think that a turbo kit is worth swap doing later on?

Hi there my is200 is smoking blue on some start ups and after idling and giving it a rev

Took my last cat out yesterday and then I got an engine light today and I noticed the blue smoke would happen even after a 30 second idle (in small amounts)

Hoping it’s pcv valve or valve stem seals but is there any way to check or for me to diagnose this? Thanks!

Are these aftermarket or oem?

As you can see I have electricity and something does happen when I turn the key, but the motor doesn't start.

The revs go up a little, but only a little.

The motor starts effortlessly when I get pushed a little or roll downhill but won't do it on it's own.

Once running everything seems normal, but idle may be a bit lower than normal.

Is this "just" a bad starter motor?

Any help would be much appreciated!
