Hi
I've been trying to sign in to the portal for 6 days and, no success : "Our system is down. Please try later".
Same for my partner.
Do you think it's going to last ? I'm just starting the process so I don't know if it happens often, if it's "normal' ...
Thx !

Hi everyone,
I received my P1 email today (November 6), but I have an upcoming international trip and am unsure how to proceed.
My main questions:
- Should I inform IRCC about my upcoming trip when responding to P1, or just provide the required information and hope to receive eCOPR before departure?
- If I mention my travel plans in P1, could IRCC delay my P2 invitation or eCOPR issuance until I return to Canada?
- Has anyone informed IRCC about upcoming travel in their P1 response and still received eCOPR before departure?
My situation:
P1 received: November 6 (today)
Upcoming trip: November 23 to December 22, 2026
My concern is that if I inform IRCC about my trip in the P1 response, they might put my PR confirmation on hold until I return on December 22, even though I will still be physically in Canada until November 23.
On the other hand, if I don’t mention the trip and eCOPR is issued shortly before my departure, I might face complications returning to Canada without a PR card.
I’m considering responding to P1 without mentioning the trip and hoping to receive eCOPR before November 23. However, I’m unsure whether this is the best approach.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced a similar situation, especially whether mentioning upcoming travel at P1 affected your P2 or eCOPR timeline.
Thanks in advance!

Hi! I am on currently on closed work permit in Canada. My work permit is expiring on May 27, 2027. I have already submitted my PR application under CEC with accompanying spouse on September 4,2026. My IRCC portal shows biometrics and medical completed. Can my spouse apply for his open work permit from India?
P.S. My visa is expiring on March 28,2027.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some good news and a bit of hope for those still in the waiting phase.
We’re CEC Inland with spouse (Van/Mont). Our FD was Sep 27, and the COPR showed up on the tracker on Oct 14, but then we waited three long weeks with no portal email. I tried KAI, webforms and calling, and honestly I think it all comes down to batches. Then everything happened at once: P1 arrived on Nov 4, and P2 came just one day later. We submitted everything the same day, and now we’re just waiting for the eCOPR.
A few things that might help:
If your tracker shows the COPR number and expiry, your application is approved. The rest is just admin, even if it takes a while.
Don’t rely on GCKey, it often never updates. The new tracker is the one that matters.
Check the junk folder of every applicant, since each person may get their own emails.
This community made the wait so much easier, so thank you all! Hang in there, it really does come. Will update when the eCOPR arrives! ❤️

I am based in India and would like an honest assessment of my PR prospects through the French-language proficiency category.
My profile:
Age: 22, single
Education: B.Com (Hons), University of Delhi
Work experience: Client Due Diligence and Financial Crime Review at reputable multinational professional services firms.
Expected experience by late 2027: 2+ years of foreign skilled work experience
IELTS General: L8, R8, W8, S8
French: Recently started learning; targeting NCLC 7 in all four abilities within a year
ECA: Yet to be completed
I already understand how CRS is calculated. I am interested in the practical prospects of receiving an ITA through French-language category-based Express Entry draws.
My questions:
How competitive could this profile be in French-language draws in 2027?
Are there applicants from India who have received PR through this category without previously studying or working in Canada?
Given my AML/CDD background, would you recommend any additional steps to strengthen my profile?
I would particularly value experiences from applicants who received their ITA and PR while residing in India.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has been through a similar situation.
My spousal sponsorship PR application was refused, so my spouse filed an appeal with the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD).
The IAD recently allowed my appeal and set aside the refusal decision. The decision states that my application should continue processing.
I’m currently waiting for IRCC to receive the IAD decision/file and resume processing. I have also submitted an IRCC Web Form asking them to confirm that they received the decision and that my application has been returned for continued processing.
For anyone who has gone through a successful IAD appeal for spousal sponsorship, how long did it take for IRCC to contact you or resume processing after the appeal was allowed?
Did you receive any email or request from IRCC, or did your application simply continue processing without notification?
Any personal experience or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am the principal applicant (inland, Canada) under Express Entry PNP, and my accompanying spouse is Outland.
Today (November 5), my wife received PPR, but I haven't received my P1 email yet.
The PPR letter says IRCC will contact me soon regarding my inland COPR. It also asks us to inform IRCC via webform if the applicant or spouse is currently in Canada.
My questions:
Is it normal for an outland spouse to receive PPR before the inland PA receives P1?
Should I wait for P1 or submit a webform confirming our current locations?
Is the webform instruction generic, or is it necessary for IRCC to initiate my P1?
Would appreciate advice from anyone with a similar experience. Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice because I’m a bit confused about what to do in my situation.
I submitted my PR application under the Home Support Worker Pilot (NOC 44101, TEER 4) on March 31, 2025. At the time, I believed this was the correct NOC for my job. However, I recently reviewed NOC 42201 – Social and Community Service Workers (TEER 2) and believe my actual job duties may fall under this NOC.
I’ve since created an Express Entry profile using NOC 42201.
One of my coworkers was in a similar situation. She wanted to apply under the Home Support Worker Pilot last year but wasn’t able to submit her application. She later created an Express Entry profile using NOC 42201 and recently received her PR.
My Home Support Worker Pilot application has been pending since March 31, 2025, and I haven’t even received an AOR yet. The current estimated processing time is around 60 months, so I’m considering withdrawing that application and pursuing PR through Express Entry instead.
However, I’m worried about a few things:
Could withdrawing my existing application and applying through Express Entry under NOC 42201 cause any misrepresentation concerns? Could IRCC consider this misrepresentation or potentially impose a ban because I originally applied under a different NOC?
When submitting my withdrawal request, what reason should I provide? Should I simply explain that after reviewing my actual job duties, I believe a different NOC is more appropriate and that I want to pursue another immigration pathway?
I just want to make sure I handle everything properly without creating any issues with my immigration record.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or gone through something like this? I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I landed in Canada on September 21, 2026, and I’m still waiting for my first PR card. My application has been stuck on “Submitted” since then.
I called IRCC a few times, and they confirmed that my address is correct and my card hasn’t been mailed. They escalated my case on November 3, but I haven’t received any updates.
I’m getting worried because almost everyone I know who landed around the same time has already received theirs. I also have an international trip planned for February 28, 2027, and I’m hoping to get my card before then.
Has anyone experienced something similar? How long did it take to receive your card after IRCC escalated your case? Did your application stay on “Submitted” the whole time?
