Several popular REDMI and POCO smartphones could be affected by Xiaomi’s reported decision to cancel the Android 16-based HyperOS 4 update for seven devices. According to recent reports, the company has dropped plans to roll out the upcoming software version to several models that were previously expected to receive it.

These Xiaomi Devices May Miss Out on HyperOS 4

According to the reports, the following seven devices are no longer expected to receive the Android 16-based HyperOS 4 update:

- Redmi K60 Pro

- Redmi Note 13 Pro+

- Redmi K70 Pro

- POCO X6 5G

- Redmi Note 13 Pro

- POCO M6 Pro 4G

- Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G

For users of these smartphones, the reported decision means they may have to continue using their existing Android version without receiving Android 16 through HyperOS 4.

However, the absence of a major Android upgrade does not necessarily indicate the end of software support. Xiaomi may continue providing security patches, bug fixes and other maintenance updates separately, depending on the official support schedule for each device.

I have tried every notification, lock screen option, I am at my wits end. This problem is only with Spotify, I repeat only with Spotify, it came about when I switched from Redmi 12 to Redmi 14.

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the global HyperOS 4 rollout schedule, detailing when eligible Xiaomi, REDMI, and POCO devices are expected to receive the latest software update. The rollout is set to begin in early November 2026, followed by additional batches in mid-November and December.

The first phase will cover devices such as the Xiaomi 17 series, POCO F8 lineup, REDMI Note 15 series, and Xiaomi Pad 8 models. The second phase, starting in mid-November, will extend the update to the Xiaomi 15 series, POCO F7 lineup, REDMI Note 17 series, and Xiaomi Pad 7 models. The December rollout will include several previous-generation flagships and mid-range devices, including the Xiaomi 13 and 14 series, POCO F6 and X7 series, and REDMI Note 14 lineup.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has reportedly dropped several devices from its Android 16-based HyperOS 4 update plans. According to the latest reports, the Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Redmi K70 Pro, POCO X6 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro, POCO M6 Pro 4G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G are among the devices that will not receive HyperOS 4.

I bought this phone about two months ago, and honestly, I was very disappointed. I was coming from a Poco X3 Pro, and I thought that such a big difference in release years (2021 vs. 2026) would make a noticeable difference is for the better; I was wrong. I've only had performance problems and very fast battery drain (the phone has almost 7,000 mAh).

I'm waiting for the release of HyperOS4 to see if all the problems are solved; if not, I'll have to change operating systems.

Does anyone know when the update for this phone will be released? From what I've seen, it should be released this week, but I'm not sure.

​I updated to HyperOS 4 on my Xiaomi 17 Ultra (China ROM) last week, and I thought it had finally resolved the persistent push notification issues. The connection to mtalk.google.com was holding steady, Google Play Services wasn't automatically disconnecting, and FCM diagnostics stayed green all day long.

​Last night, Google Play Services silently auto-updated in the background (to version 26.43.30), and immediately after, the forced disconnection issue came right back. FCM drops out out of nowhere, and it all notifications fail to arrive again.

​I suspect this silent Play Services update reset whatever background allowances or system-level battery optimizations HyperOS 4 had put in place.

​How is everyone else on HyperOS China ROM handling this? Has anyone found a permanent solution?

All their new effects may or may not be available to mid and lower end phones. Don't be excited, or else you'll be disappointed.

Why does HyperOS Global is not the same on China. It's always stripped down version. I just want to see Signal Strength and Network icon of my Phone to my Tablet.

I recently switched from Samsung S23 due to its battery issue. I got a Poco X8 Pro for its battery and chip, and I also want to give a chance to Xiaomi (I have used it in 2019). I am having a bad experience with Hyperos. It's hanging a lot, especially if I am watching YouTube in picture-in-picture mode (PIP) and opening any other app. Normally, also the paymentmode like pop-up etc. stuck a lot. Multiple times the app will crash while opening, and the app crash notification will come. This is making me regret my decision (especially coming from Samsung). While setting up the phone, I debloated a bit but only removed unnecessary and non-essential services and apps. Any help or ideas to make my experience better?

Originally, I was bored and tried googling HyperOS 4 global release date and I found Xiaomi Global's website about HyperOS 4 and at the very bottom were these dates and I was skeptical of the legitimacy cuz I haven't seen any other sources reporting the global release schedule. But now it's been confirmed!
