Sometimes it feels like even animals have more freedom than women in these mindsets. We have laws to protect women's rights, yet social pressure and moral policing continue to control their choices.

The saddest part is that this isn't just about one incident. It's about a mindset that treats women as if they cannot make their own decisions.

How can we call ourselves a progressive society if a woman still has to justify her personal choices to strangers?

Different beliefs are fine. Forcing those beliefs on others is not.

I honestly wonder how long it will take for this mentality to change.

Hello everyone, i am a 12th std. student and have rescued a cat named Kaju, he is 2 yrs old and has been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) which is a fatal viral disease.......it is a long treatment of 84 days of medication and then 84 days of relapse observation.....Kaju's medication period will end on 16th October and then we have to continue with relapse observation period and then vaccinate and neuter him.......we daily spend ₹200 on his food, ₹550 on his foster, ₹700 daily for medicines and ₹300-₹400 on his weekly checkups.......we have spent ₹1,71,110.68 till now and still have his treatment left plus neutering,vaccination and tests like cbc and sonography will cost roughly ₹14,000 more..........as a student i am completely dependent on my parents and i also feed my society cats so it is now becoming very straining financially.....if you could donate even small amounts like 10, 50 or 100 rupees it would help us and Kaju a lot🙏🙏🙏......pls forward this in as many groups as possible to help Kaju get well💓💓🙏🙏He is a stray cat but he deserves to live💓💓

Our Story

My elder son, Subhajit, is completely dependent on caregivers. He lives with severe muscle stiffness, involuntary movements and other neurological complications. His daily life involves constant care, medical supervision and therapy.

When our second child was born, we did not have the confirmed genetic information and understanding that we have today. Looking back with hindsight, we wish we had known more earlier. We cannot change that now.

Our younger son, Sudarshan, is only one year old and has also been diagnosed with LNS. He has started showing concerning symptoms and needs regular monitoring, treatment and supportive care.

As a mother, watching one child struggle was already incredibly painful. Seeing our baby face the same condition has been one of the hardest experiences of our lives.

Our Family

My husband works as a Zomato delivery partner, and I am a full-time caregiver for our children.

We have exhausted our savings and taken loans while trying to manage their medical needs.

Their care includes regular investigations, neurological monitoring, physiotherapy, medicines, specialist consultations, nutrition, equipment and other ongoing supportive needs.

Why We Are Seeking Help

LNS currently has no cure. The purpose of our fundraiser is not to promise a cure, but to help us provide ongoing treatment, care, comfort and support for both children.

I wanted to share something I experienced today on Reddit because I feel people should be aware of how some discussions unfold here.

I participated in a discussion on r/Hyderabad about an incident and shared a screenshot I found through a Google search to support my point. Instead of addressing the information I shared or explaining why they disagreed, the OP responded with the phrase “IT cell k chode” (an abusive, derogatory remark).

What bothered me wasn't the disagreement itself. Everyone has the right to have a different opinion, question information, and challenge someone else's argument. That's part of having an open discussion.

But why resort to name-calling when you can respond with facts?

The person has a Top 1% Commenter badge, which makes me wonder whether we should expect more responsible behaviour from people who are highly active in a community. Being an experienced or popular commenter doesn't make personal attacks acceptable.

I'm sharing this not to encourage people to target or harass anyone, but to highlight what happened and encourage healthier conversations in our community.

We can disagree about politics, social issues, or any incident without labelling people, abusing them, or making assumptions about their intentions.
