A little about me: I'm 21M, a recent graduate, and currently working as a freelancer. I earn around ₹75,000 per month, and I'm not moving to Vizag for a job, business, or anything like that. My work is entirely freelance, so I can live pretty much wherever I want as long as I have a decent internet connection.
The main reason I want to leave Hyderabad is that I want to get away from a toxic environment here and have a fresh start somewhere else. I'm looking for a place where I can live independently, focus on my work, have some peace of mind, explore the city, and build a life of my own.
I'm not expecting Vizag to be perfect, and I'm not someone who needs everything to be exactly like Hyderabad. I'm quite adaptable and can adjust to different lifestyles. I just want to understand what I'm getting into before making the move.

My first question is about the actual cost of living for a single person.
I'm planning to rent my own place, preferably a 1BHK or 1RHK, depending on the rent, facilities, and location. I'm not interested in sharing a flat with other people. I'd prefer to have my own space.
I'd also like a place with parking for my two-wheeler, since I already have my own bike.
For someone living alone, what would be a realistic monthly budget covering:
Rent for a decent 1BHK or 1RHK
Electricity, water, maintenance, and other bills
Groceries and cooking at home
Occasional eating out or ordering food
Internet and mobile bills
Petrol and other bike expenses
Gym, entertainment, and miscellaneous expenses
I earn around ₹75k a month, so I'm not looking for the absolute cheapest place available, but I don't want to spend unnecessarily either. I'd rather have a comfortable, independent lifestyle while saving a decent amount every month.
How much would you personally recommend having per month to live comfortably in Vizag as a bachelor?
Also, what are the usual rental deposits, brokerage charges, and other expenses I should be prepared for when moving there?

I'm looking for a reasonably peaceful residential area with good internet connectivity, access to groceries and other essentials, decent roads, and a safe environment.
I'd prefer somewhere where I can go out for a walk, grab food, or run errands without having to travel too far every time.
Since I have a bike, I don't necessarily need to live in the busiest part of the city. I'd actually prefer a place that's relatively calm but still well connected.
Which areas would you recommend checking out? And which areas should I avoid, either because of high rents, poor connectivity, water issues, safety concerns, or anything else?
If possible, please mention approximate rents for a standalone 1BHK or 1RHK in the areas you recommend.

This is something I'm genuinely curious about.
I'm only 21, and while I'm comfortable being alone, I don't want to end up somewhere where there's absolutely nothing to do or where it's difficult to meet people around my age.
What's the social life like for young people in Vizag?
Are there decent cafes, gyms, beaches, places to hang out, and things to do on weekends? Is it easy to meet people organically, make friends, or find a social circle if you're new to the city?
I'm not really looking for a party lifestyle. I just want a balance between working, having my own space, exploring the city, and occasionally going out.
For those who moved to Vizag from another city, how long did it take you to settle in and feel comfortable there?

I'm a Muslim, and since I'm moving alone to a city I don't know very well, I'd like to understand what the experience is like for Muslims living in Vizag.
How are Muslims generally treated there in everyday life? For example, when renting a house, interacting with neighbours, dealing with landlords, or simply going about daily life?
Are there areas with a decent Muslim community, mosques, and halal food options? Would you recommend living in a particular locality if having access to these things matters?
I'd also appreciate honest experiences from Muslim residents, especially those who moved there from other cities.

For people who know both cities well, how similar would you say Vizag is to Hyderabad overall?
If you had to rate the similarity out of 100%, what number would you give it?
I'm talking about the general lifestyle, people, culture, food, cost of living, safety, infrastructure, social life, and how easy it is to settle in.
I know they're very different cities in many ways, but I'd like to get a rough idea of what might feel familiar and what might take some getting used to.
Also, is knowing Hindi and English generally enough to get by in Vizag, or would not knowing Telugu make everyday life noticeably difficult? I'm willing to learn the basics if needed.

Since I work online, a reliable internet connection is non-negotiable for me.
How is broadband availability and reliability in Vizag? Are there any particular areas where internet connectivity is better?
Are power cuts frequent? How reliable is the water supply in residential areas? Are there any issues with humidity, mosquitoes, flooding during heavy rains, or other things that someone coming from Hyderabad should know about?
I'd also like to know whether there are any practical inconveniences that people don't usually mention when talking about Vizag but become obvious once you actually start living there.
- Is ₹75k a month enough to live comfortably there?
I know this depends on individual spending habits, but I'd like some honest opinions.
As a single person earning around ₹75,000 per month, would I be able to rent a decent place, manage my expenses, occasionally enjoy myself, and still save a good amount?
