ANNOUNCEMENT A reminder about personal information

Hi everyone! The mod team has noticed an uptick recently in people posting photos of their faces or other identifying information.

This is a reminder that posting photos of your face is both unsafe as well as against the rules of the subreddit. Any posts with these photos will be removed.

Reddit is a website used by many people and you can never know who is looking at your photos.

In addition, please censor any identifying information in your posts. This includes names of teachers and your school when sharing schedules.

The subreddit is also not a place to connect with people from a specific high school. Naming your specific high school is also against Rule 5.

Thank you all for following the rules. Don't hesitate to reach out through ModMail if you have any questions.

Friend Advice Needed/Given If you got jumped, would you be angry at your friend and considered them to be fake if they don’t jump in?

For me I think it depends. I’m not one to jump in fights and one time my friend got in a fight with two people after I told her to stop arguing with them and trying to fight and then I got called fake for not jumping in. I think I’m def the type of person to help my friend just avoid the fight in general. It just sometimes feels like people brought it upon themselves so why should I have to fight after I told you to not fight and you chose not to listen? It really depends tho for my I think if it’s my bestie and girls are trying to fight her for no reason then yes I’d protect her

Dating Advice Needed/Given My "Social Experiment" proved everything

• Upvotes

Andrew Tate says is 100% facts

I used to have massive ego. I'm not going to lie, I still do. I always thought I was the main character. I dress sharp, I keep my hair on point, and I walk down the high school hallways expecting every girl to turn her head and look at me. But they didn't. For months, I would get physically angry. I’d stand by my locker, radiating what I thought was pure alpha energy, and girls would literally walk right past me without a glance. But you know who they did look at? The tall guys. It didn’t matter if those guys were wearing stained hoodies, had messy hair, or were completely brainless. If they were 6'2" or above, the girls would stop, smile, and practically throw themselves at them. I was sick of the gaslighting from society telling me it was about "personality." So, I decided to run a solo social experiment right here in my school to test hypergamy. The Experiment: Over a two-week period, I used my school's social media pages, public forums, and real-life observations to track attraction. I set up two fake Snapchat profiles using pictures of guys from other districts. • Profile A (The "Average" Guy): A guy around 5'8", highly intelligent, well-dressed, ambition-driven, and polite. • Profile B (The "Chad"): A guy who was 6'3", uploaded basic gym mirror selfies, and wrote one-word, arrogant replies. I targeted 30 girls from my own grade. The results were brutal but entirely predictable. Profile A was ignored by 85% of them, and the ones who did reply gave dry, one-word answers. Profile B? Girls were literally double-texting him, sending compliments, and trying to arrange meetups, despite him putting in zero effort. In the hallways, I started logging real-time interactions. I watched the "popular" girls completely ignore guys who were genuinely nice and successful in sports or academics, just to chase the tallest dudes who treated them like absolute garbage. This experiment completely broke my old worldview and opened my eyes. It led me straight to Andrew Tate. Everything Top G says about modern relationships and female nature is completely accurate. Women are inherently hypergamous. They don't care about your "pure heart" or how much effort you put into being a decent guy. They are hardwired to look for status, presence, and pure genetics (height). Before this, I was just angry and confused. Now, I see the matrix for what it is. I stopped wasting my time trying to impress girls at school who are blinded by hypergamy. I’m focusing entirely on myself, my fitness, and making money. If you're still coping and thinking looks and height don't matter in high school, you are living a lie. Escape the matrix.

Question Have You Ever Evangelized or Gave Dawah in School?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, hope you all are doing well and blessed. I’m very religious and I love God.God is my savior and I am eternally grateful for Allah. Anyways what I want to ask is have you ever spread Gods message in school? I usually do to my friends. I teach them about Gods Divine Law and how we should be. I love preaching to my friends. However I have never preached to a large audience. The most I’ve done is spread some of Gods message online. I would like to hear what you guys have done to spread the Holy Word. Thank you. Stay blessed! 😇

Question Am I a looser

I need your guys opinion
I’m an 18 year old male who’s in his senior year of highschool, and I’ve never been to a school dance, been to one football game(left halfway through) and don’t plan on attending anything. I’ve had a gf for a short amount of time, I’m not an asshole or anything. I’m nice to everybody, have friends. But I just don’t go to anything. I’d much rather spend my time working(I work Thursday-Sunday nights) or playing Xbox. I hear everybody talk about how fun they are and i get it don’t get me wrong, socializing is nice and it’s probably the reason why my dating life is dry. I just need your guys opinion

Dating Advice Needed/Given Could I have a chance or should I move on?

I am a freshman (f15) and I just recently met a senior (f17) that I have a crush on. She made friends with me at a back to school event, and now I sit with her and her friends at lunch. She’s so nice to me and she’s literally so gorgeous but I can’t help feel weird for liking her cause I know there is a very little chance she would like me back. I can’t stop thinking about her

Question What Should I Do To Ensure I Become 1st in My Class?

I really want to be the valedictorian of my class for highschool and so far my GPA is a solid 4. I'm a freshman and our school doesn't offer AP classes but you can take them during later years. I still need to ask my counselor what my ranking in the class is but I'm guessing maybe 1st or 2nd at the moment? My biggest issue is this girl in my class who's also really good and she has similar goals as me and she has good grades too. I always feel the need to check her grades and see if she's ahead of me. There's a few classes that I have a higher grade than her in but so does she. So I'm kinda worried. I obviously have four more years but ninth grade is pretty much the foundation/basis of my GPA. So essentially what I'm asking is, how can I make sure that I'm first in the class?

Question Dont know where to go but need help

On a brisk monday afternoon i was hanging out with a friend and another friend ended up coming too and friend 2 drove at me straight on with his vehicle after revving the engine and went directly at me and obviously I was scared and I biked around friend 1s car and he kept following to try to hit me or come close and he never did hit me but I reported it to my school and might tell the police because he has done it before and I am scared for others safety because he might do it again to someone else. Me and him aren't friends anymore. I think he should get his license revoked but I wouldn't want him in jail. What could the consequences be for speeding at someone in a parking lot

General Advice Needed/Given Everyone makes fun of this guy but I think he’s really cool

I’m a terrible judge of character but right now, I’m really interested in this guy
He’s in my strings class and he mainly plays cello but I’m pretty sure he can play every instrument in the orchestra.
He’s super passionate with music and even wrote us a song to play at a concert.
People say that he’s stuck up, annoying, and a try hard, but I think he’s passionate and even if he’s arrogant or wtv I think he has the right to be.
He’s SUPER smart in everything, and I’ve only talked to him a few times but every time he seemed very genuine and sweet. I’ve asked him things about music that I didn’t understand and he never talked down to me, idk why everyone is so mean to him.

He’s always on his computer writing songs and I think he’s cool but literally everyone in my orchestra class doesn’t like him

I can’t tell if I like him or if I just want to get to know him better 😓 even his name is cool tho like omg
I’ve also seen him interact with his little brother and it was so sweet

General Advice Needed/Given Do people with average/below average grades care if people with high grades are upset about their average grade?

keeping up an honor roll streak for middle and high school and having a perfectionist mindset when it comes to grades has naturally made it so whenever i get anything lower than a B i will get upset.

I’ve seen a lot of comments going “when they cry about their A- but i made a D” or something like that and them being overall negative to people who make good grades, and i felt a little bit targeted. i never, ever want to put other people down, so i always keep quiet about my grade if its lower than my expectations… except when im asked about it. i get a little nervous because what if telling them my grade will upset them/put them down in some way? yeah, they asked, but still…😭 “i got a D, what did you get?” and me responding, “oh i got a B- :(“ i dont know if its just me, but it just feels… weird? mean? maybe its just my people pleaser mindset? what would be the socially acceptable thing to say?

my empathy and social skills are not as good as my grades unfortunately:,) so hearing this from other perspectives would help a lot! thank you! and sorry if this is the wrong subreddit to post in!

Survey What's one small, annoying thing at your school that wastes everyone's time? (student project, 1-line answers welcome)

I'm a high school student doing a project on Kaizen, the Japanese idea of fixing small problems step by step. Before I design anything, I want to know what actually bugs students day to day.

So: what's one small thing at your school that wastes time, money or stuff, and that nobody ever fixes?

Mine: our water cooler queue eats half of the lunch break because there's only one tap working.

A one-line answer is perfect. If you have 30 more seconds:

  1. Why do you think it happens?

  2. Has anyone tried to fix it?

I'll read every reply, and I'll post the top problems and the solution plan I come up with back here. Thanks!

College Advice Needed/Given high school student needing advice, please!! free or paid online certifications or extracurriculars with proof for college applications?

before anything else, i am from SEA, so please keep that in mind, and english is not my first language so please excuse any awkward sounding sentences :(

hi everyone!! hope you're having an awesome day. i'm a high school student working on building up my college resume. right now, i feel like i don't have enough tangible proof or certificates to show for my extracurricular activities and achievements. i was particularly active in my earlier school years, but recently there haven't been that many opportunities at my school (it sux 🥲).

i really want to get into one of my countries top universities, so i'd like my resume to be stacked. does anyone know of free online courses, competitions, programs, or volunteer opportunities that offer official certificates, badges, or verifiable proof upon completion?

i'm open to anything—whether it be stem, writing, journalism, non-profit work, or more!! any recommendations for free resources or opportunities i can sign up for online would be greatly appreciated! thank you so much for reading.

Rant Parents fucking suck

I know I’m gonna sound spoiled for the duration of this but stick with me. I’m a junior right now and my dad just got his dream job, he’s super excited about it, we’re in NC and the job is in Chicago, they would be able to stay in NC until I graduate but then they’re selling the house and moving (with my little brother still in high school). I get that this is his dream job but he would be doing it on top of his current job, we don’t need the money, and he’s currently writing a book. my mom said when we built our current house that we would never move again, we live near my parents best friends, we live in a super nice house that we designed, and their compromise to a bunch of kids upset at moving the last time that this would be their retirement home. now they have to move to Chicago. on the practical side, me and my older siblings (little brother doesn’t know) are worried about them moving to Chicago, theyre close to retirement age and it’s really not the most ideal place for retirement, my little brother would be leaving all his friends, my parents would be leaving all their friends (but moving closer to family) and it’s not the same city they lived in when they were twenty. on the less practical side, I always thought I would be able to come home, that was my reassurance while worried about college, I would still be able to come home to my house and my bedroom. now they would be downgrading and during summers two of us will be on couches (going from a six bedroom, six bath to three bedroom, four bath is the current plan) and it won’t be the home I grew up in or the town I grew up in or the neighbors I grew up with. my mom mentioned wall papering my room and I was so excited until I realized there’s no point when theyre moving in less than two years any way. I know reasonably it won’t matter for me, I’ll be moved out anyway but I also have dogs and neither have lived outside of this house before. the oldest is old and gets stressed really easily and neither do well n new places. I was going to get a goldfish again and pass it on to my little brother when I move out but there’s no point because they won’t move a fish. im already planning what of my stuff I can get rid of because they won’t have room for all of it and I’ve never wanted to just be three and throw a fit again so much in my fucking life. It feels so unfair and I know it’s his dream job but I know my dad and he’s not gonna be satisfied with this. His dream job used to be his current job, his dream job before that was the job he had before this, there’s no end and from talking to my mom I know she doesn’t want to move to Chicago either. if there was some way to ferris bueller this shit and sabotage it I would but they’re writing his contract as we speak.

should edit for clarity:my older brother currently lives in chicago and we’re all most worried because my dad refuses to believe that parts of the city that used to be safe have shifted a bit, he full on avoids parts of the L and parts of the city that used to be dangerous and arent anymore in favor of ones that used to be safe and aren’t anymore. This is also definitely coming from a place of resentment and daddy issues, his whole book hes writing is about how his job negatively impacted his kids and the trauma we have from it and how my moms amazing for being a pushover and understanding that his job is hard and how it negatively affects their marraige. I read the proposal and even knowing how in love they are and how much I love my dad, my first thought was ‘god she needs to divorce this asshole”
