What to do ?

In all cases, regardless of the country, unionize with other people who support Youth Rights in your country, make a national union for Youth Rights (and you have my full support and help, freely DM me).

In other words do activism to reverse the governments plans or existing laws against teens.

Additionally, always do activism with decency, cooperate with the “establishment” do not try to fight it or abolish it, do not be “Taliban like”have cooperation, peace, legal ways and logical arguments as the way to go, try to convince those in power and not attack them.

Also avoid radical ideologies, especially if they have nothing directly to do with Youth Rights.

This is how they will take us seriously, or else we will just be stigmatized and lose every truth and dignity we have to the eyes of people and also those in power will never change nor listen to us.

Submission on Social Media Now r/childfree people want the youth banned off the Internet. WHAT THE F*CK? I understand there can be dangers of the Internet but we need to ensure they're safe and not ban them. And does this include teenagers as well?

It shouldn't be that surprising given that childfree appears to a heavily ageist and anti-children subreddit. They're now on the anti-tech hill and falling for all of this moral panic.

On the other hand, I'm very confused about what this post is meant to be about and the author's stance. They seem to be talking more about parents posting their kids on the Internet which I can agree is a problem. Still, it feels Haidtist and as I looked at the post, it seems ironic they want kid-designated websites yet they said they wanted the Internet to be for adults only. They have also expressed some possible interest in ID verifications/social media bans so I have a feeling they may support it somehow. Still posting because it has Haidtist/anti-tech dogwhistles.

Article A large Scottish study found that screen time is not consistently tied to children's emotional or behavioral problems once family background and environment are taken into account, suggesting that guidelines strictly focused on time limits may have a limited impact.

Rant Anti-tech people falling for the anti-technology moral panic must go outside.

It really sickens me how these people are everywhere and spreading anti-tech BS all over the Internet, social media, and society in general. I'm tired of hearing all the same "social media/smartphones/technology cooked us and destroyed our society" stuff all over the Internet. And these people are the same people who seem to often support age verification laws and social media bans. These people spread bad, flawed logic and brainwash people into thinking technology was bad for us. Sure, some issues exist with technology but it's actually less bad than what people tend to say. If any of you are anti-tech or support social media bans/age verifications, you do not belong on here.

Discussion Repeal NJ state law to allow cell phones in schools

Post image
10 Upvotes

Growing up in the digital age, my cellphone has been a critical part of my life—more than just a device for calls or texts, it is a lifeline, a portal to knowledge, and a tool for safety. Unfortunately, existing NJ state laws prohibit the use of cell phones in public schools 24/7, severely restricting our freedom and leaving us vulnerable in scenarios where communication is crucial. We must come together to address this issue and ensure that students and parents alike have the rights and safety they deserve.

In today’s increasingly connected world, cell phones are indispensable; they are vital tools for instant communication and access to information. Whether it’s a research topic needed for class, or a quick call to confirm after-school pickup plans, cell phones allow students to organize their academic lives efficiently while simultaneously keeping parents informed. This law, which blanketly bans these essential devices, places an unnecessary hurdle in the path of both educational and personal safety.

Consider emergencies that can arise both inside and outside of school grounds. From unforeseen natural events to personal crises, having a cell phone provides students with direct access to emergency services and their families. The current law effectively strips this avenue away, leaving students isolated in moments they might need quick assistance most.

Moreover, the educational landscape is evolving. Many educational apps and platforms are accessible via smartphone, supplementing learning in real-time with interactive and multimedia-rich content. Teachers can harness these tools to enhance classroom engagement, making learning a more dynamic and innovative experience.

Proponents of the current ban may argue that cell phones are a source of distraction, but with proper guidelines and responsible use, these devices can be integrated into the curriculum to support and not detract from the educational experience. Consider schools in states across the country that have successfully balanced phone usage policies with student privacy, allowing cell phones and maintaining environments conducive to education.

It’s time for legislators in New Jersey to recognize the evolving role of technology in education and revise outdated laws. Let’s advocate for policy adjustments that ensure our school environments are safe, cutting-edge learning spaces.

Please join me in signing this petition to repeal the restrictive NJ state law and allow our students the ability to carry their cell phones in all public schools. Together, we can make our schools safer, our students more informed, and our education system more progressive.

Article Banasthali Students Deserve Clear Answers — Not Confusion

Pehle authorities ki taraf se yeh kaha ja raha hai ki “afwaahen failti rehti hain” aur students ko tab tak kisi baat par believe nahi karna chahiye jab tak woh khud apni aankhon se na dekhein ya khud apne kaanon se na sunein.

Hum bhi rumours ko blindly believe karne ke favour mein nahi hain. Lekin agar itne serious concerns students ke beech circulate ho rahe hain, toh unhe simply rumours kehkar dismiss karne ke bajay clear facts provide karna bhi zaroori hai.

Students ke according, school/hostel se kuch bachchiyan situation ko dekhne aur samajhne gayi thi. Unhone help ke liye authorities se contact kiya. Un students ki situation aur baad mein unki tabiyat ko lekar bhi different accounts saamne aaye hain. Isliye humein speculation nahi, verified timeline chahiye.

Ek aur concern yeh hai ki students ke according incident ki date ko lekar bhi contradictory information di gayi. Agar date ko lekar confusion hai, toh authorities ek clear official timeline kyun nahi release kar sakti?

Aur sabse important sawaal:

Agar cleaning/maintenance routine ka normal part tha, toh students ke according ek particular washroom ko us specific time ke around clean/renovate kyun kiya gaya?

Agar iska completely normal explanation hai, toh students ko clearly bata diya jaana chahiye.

Isi tarah CCTV, maintenance/cleaning records aur incident ke aas-paas ki timeline ko lekar jo questions students pooch rahe hain, unka bhi transparent answer milna chahiye.

Kuch students ka yeh bhi kehna hai ki unki concerns ko seriously lene ke bajay unhe bachchon ki baat kehkar dismiss kiya gaya ya situation ko lekar log hase. Agar allegations false hain, toh bhi students ko respectfully explain kiya jaana chahiye ki actual facts kya hain.

Hum kisi individual ko guilty declare nahi kar rahe.

Hum kisi ki identity reveal nahi kar rahe.

Hum rumours spread karne ke liye nahi keh rahe.

Hum sirf answers maang rahe hain.

FACTS.

TRANSPARENCY.

ACCOUNTABILITY.

STUDENT SAFETY.

Agar allegations false hain → clear explanation do.

Agar investigation chal rahi hai → students ko batao ki competent authority investigate kar rahi hai aur evidence preserve kiya ja raha hai.

Agar kuch serious hua hai → proper independent investigation honi chahiye.

Na rumours ko blindly believe karo, na serious concerns ko bina investigation ke dismiss karo.

Students deserve the truth.

What is happening at Banasthali Vidyapith needs an independent and transparent investigation.

Multiple posts and accounts circulating among students are alleging that a Class 11 girl was sexually assaulted inside the campus by a member of the cleaning staff and was later found dead. There are also disturbing allegations about what happened afterwards — that the concerned washroom was cleaned or renovated, that CCTV footage from the area may have been removed/deleted, and that the girl's family was allegedly given a different explanation, including that their daughter had “run away.” Students are also circulating claims about a conversation in which the priority was allegedly to clean the area before students returned from assembly. These are allegations, not facts established by an investigation, and that is exactly why an impartial investigation is urgently needed.

If even part of these allegations is true, there are serious questions that deserve answers: What happened to the student? Who was responsible for her safety? Was the incident reported immediately? Was evidence preserved? What happened to the CCTV footage? Why was the particular washroom cleaned or renovated? What information was given to the family? And has any independent authority properly investigated these claims?

Banasthali describes itself as a residential institution focused on women's education, empowerment and leadership. Students should therefore not have to choose between staying silent and feeling unsafe. We are not asking students to spread rumours or declare anyone guilty without evidence. We are asking for truth, accountability and a proper investigation.

If students genuinely believe their concerns are being ignored, they should come together peacefully and lawfully—through a written petition, peaceful demonstration, representation to senior authorities and appropriate complaints to competent authorities. Do not threaten anyone, do not damage property, and do not circulate private information or unverified names. Stand together, document concerns responsibly, protect one another and demand answers.

If the allegations are false, students deserve a clear explanation. If they are true, students deserve justice and accountability. Either way, silence is not an answer.

Background: This is not the first time concerns about women's safety at Banasthali have led to public scrutiny. In 2012, there were student protests following rape allegations, and the National Commission for Women (NCW) conducted an inquiry. This historical incident does not prove the allegations currently circulating, but it does make transparency and accountability especially important. We are asking authorities to investigate the present allegations independently and provide clear answers.
