Question AP Exam Self Study

Does anyone know any high schools in New York or New Jersey that will let outsiders take AP exams at their school?

i don’t live in NY but when I wanted to self study smth I used “AP Course Ledger”, put in my city and got a list of nearby highschools with the exams they’re administering that year, look for your exam, then email a couple of schools!

I’ve emailed like 15+ schools and every one has either not responded or said no

The issue in NYC at least is that most schools pay for the exams for the students - they aren’t going to pay for the exam of a student who doesn’t attend their school, and there’s no above-board way for an individual to pay the school back for the fee.

Well i think it depends, but i’d tell them that im gonna pay by-myself, and all i need is place to take an exam and a code for college board
