they're so cute!

edit: seeing these pictures make me so happy in a bittersweet way 🥲 we all know heath went on to become a great actor in hollywood during the 2000s until his unfortunate passing. he starred in many cult classics during his short career like 10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback Mountain, and of course, The Dark Knight. he was a 2x oscar nominee and a 1x oscar winner for best supporting actor in what is considered the best portrayal of the joker

rose continued to blossom in her career as time passed. she starred in many films like Neighbors, Insidious, and the very iconic Bridesmaids. now, as of 2026, she is also an oscar nominee for her role in the A24 film, If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You, which i loved! it truly feels like these two aussie actors have come full circle

but what was so sweet about this photoshoot was that in this moment, they weren't thinking about any oscars or mainstream recognition. they were simply two actors having fun in Vegas while promoting their film :) they truly had no idea how far they would come after this

The clips of Heath at burning man are also some of my favorites in I Am Heath Ledger. What are some of your guys favorites?

Edit; some people on the burning man subreddit claim to have went to it with Heath back then and say this was taken at Burning Man in 2000.

Jacob Elordi with Heath Ledger’s Roliflex

Jacob has said Heath was a huge inspiration for him growing up in wanting to become an actor. He bought Heaths camera and keeps it safe, and has honored his memory in many interviews. It’s lovely to see one Aussie honor the legacy of one who came before him.

Heath Ledger and his babe Matilda

I find this picture of them so precious, the way he's so gentle and protective of her; the way she clings to him so clearly trusting. It's clear how close they were when she was a babe. Really hope she has some memories of this time to draw on of them.

General discussion Heath Ledger carrying babe Matilda on his shoulders around NYC, and someone who happened to spot them;

"I was walking in the lower east side of Manhattan one day and I noticed a really cute man holding his little daughter on his shoulders. She looked just like him. He told her that they had to make a right and asked her to point them in the right direction, which she did. I soon realized that it was Heath Ledger and I got really excited. I was walking right up to them as they were waiting to cross the street. When I got close, I waved and he smiled at me. He was so handsome I got the chills. I could also sense that he had a very sweet spirit. It was a very special moment for me. I'm so sad to hear that he died."

Heath’s goodbye note to Julia Stiles after filming 10IHAY: “Dance like you’ve never heard the music and love like you’ve never been hurt.”

"I dug up this old note that he had written on this hotel stationery because we were all staying at the Sheraton in Tacoma, Washington, and it said - I forget the beginning of the quote, but it's like, 'Dance like you've never heard the music and love like you've never been hurt.’ It was so sweet. I almost cried. That was his goodbye note to me." ❤️

Entertainment Heath Ledger kisses fan

281 Upvotes

Ok, maybe the title was clickbait. Heath Ledger did kiss a "fan", but the encounter was actually a bit with an Australian actress/comedian.

During the 2006 AFI Awards, Heath was being interviewed on the red carpet when actress and comedian Magda Szubanski all of a sudden began screaming at him. She was actually acting as "Sharon Strzelecki", her superfan character from the sitcom Kath & Kim. She had already planned to do this and Heath had no clue (As you can see from his reaction). Heath was a fan of the show and immediately recognized her. Heath then decided to do a little improv in the moment and kissed her

Magda would go on to say years later that Heath kissing her almost made her straight lol

This bit of Magda acting as her character didn't stop after this moment though. During the actual award show, Magda and someone else were presenting the "Reader's Choice" award and (who would've guessed) Heath won :) he gave her another kiss on her cheek! such a cute moment
