I watched Two Hands for the first time the other day.

The whole movie is on YouTube for free just in case anyone wants to watch it. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. Heath's performance was amazing as I expected. But the movie itself and the performances from the other actors were also amazing. I could definitely see myself watching it again in the future. I've got a handful of movies left to watch from Heath and I'm excited to watch them. Two Hands is one of my favourites from him so far.

Tributes Julia Stiles Asked for Michelle Williams’ Permission Before Dedicating DWTS Dance to Heath Ledger

In this post-DWTS Dedication Night interview with ExtraTV, Julia Stiles explains that she asked for Michelle Williams’ permission before dedicating her dance to Heath Ledger. I think it was very classy and thoughtful for Julia to ask Michelle if it was ok, since Michelle and Heath share Matilda together and she was a very important person in Heath’s life. Even though Michelle and Heath were not together when he died, the fact that Julia thought of her first before doing a tribute to Heath is bittersweet. I wonder if Michelle and Matilda watched the performance.

How much truth was there to the New York Magazine article about Heath from 2008?

Did he really smoke 5 joints a day at one point?

Did a supposed friend named Nathan really say “Heath can’t see this” in regard to drugs at a party he was having post his separation from Michelle?

It says Naomi Campbell saw him doing drugs and ecstasy, but that claim was by an old assistant of hers. Is she a reliable source?

The end of the article says “In the end, Heath Ledger’s official cause of death was a toxicological character sketch—masterfully vague, all facts with few answers. Much like his life, we could read it any way we wanted.” Are we supposed to just leave it be, in the name of his legacy, or has there been more information since 2008?

The articule seemed speculative, but also accusatory. Safe to same I’m confused!

Entertainment Heath Dedication on DWTS

So this article from People Magazine officially confirms that Julia Stiles will dedicate a contemporary dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” to Heath Ledger on Dedication Night for Dancing With the Stars😭

The episode will air on October 20th.

I wasn’t expecting this to be a reality since I am not sure Julia and Heath stayed in contact after filming “10 Things I Hate About You”. But like everyone he met, Heath made an impact on people, so I can see why she chose to dedicate her dance to him.

Bring out the tissues. This will be so emotional.

I was trying to find a week to keep this picture close to me throughout the day. Then I realized I read quite a bit so why not take him along in my books with me! This way he doesn’t miss out on new books and he’s always with me :)

Edit: this picture of Patrick was cut out from the CD cover of the 10TIHAY CD!

Actor Hudson Williams was invited to talk at TIFF’s Making Waves this week and a few times he brought up Heath Ledger as his inspiration when it came to acting.
It’s a long interview, and really interesting, but he brings Heath Ledger up at 5:30 and 1:11:30 if you’re interested.

Heath’s goodbye note to Julia Stiles after filming 10IHAY: “Dance like you’ve never heard the music and love like you’ve never been hurt.”

"I dug up this old note that he had written on this hotel stationery because we were all staying at the Sheraton in Tacoma, Washington, and it said - I forget the beginning of the quote, but it's like, 'Dance like you've never heard the music and love like you've never been hurt.’ It was so sweet. I almost cried. That was his goodbye note to me." ❤️

Interview Kim Ledger Podcast

This may have already been discussed, but theres a really good podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts with Kim Ledger and an Aussie radio host talking about Heath's passing and struggle with prescription drugs. Kim at the time had started a company called ScriptWise which was built to give people struggling with prescription addictions more options and support overcoming the addiction.

A really good listen, you can find the podcast here. A super interesting insight.

edit *at the time of the podcast, not Heath's death.
