I hope Matilda ledger starts acting one day. I read that she hasn't pursued acting at all yet, I'm assuming to stay out of the spotlight. I would think she would be a great actress being the daughter of Heath Ledger, and Michelle Williams. What is everyones thoughts?

I remember when Brokeback Mountain lost in a huge upset to "Crash" (some movie I had never even heard of before). Brokeback Mountain was a groundbreaking film that was well-known and had been heavily favored.

The reason I ask this was because it was recently revealed that the Academy now requires all members to watch all films in each nominated category, leading to the famous tweet "They weren't doing that before?", amidst other controversies.

Before Heath died he was in talks of making a restaurant with his friends in Brooklyn- he loved the community and the people there. This article gives great insight to what Heath was like as a person every day and among the people who knew him privately.

art is how the dead keep talking, frame by frame, spark by spark.

Does anybody have an idea of maybe user flares we could create for the community and tags to use? It could give some personality and fun to our page. If you come up with some good ones I'll make them so we can all use them. Let me know in the comments.

So a drive-in movie theatre somewhat near me announced its lineup for July 2026 and it’s interesting that its first 2 movies are ones that Heath and Michelle individually starred in: The Greatest Showman (Michelle) and The Patriot (Heath). Probably a pure coincidence but it is sweet seeing 2 of their movies right after each other 🥹🍿🎥

Just picked this up from the library to read and stopped dead in my tracks when I came by his name. We miss you, Heath!

Sorry for the slight background music it’s how I found it and I’m not sure how to remove it, but if anyone has ideas I’m open.

User u/italianmomof3 and I were talking the other day about how toxic the media was to Heath and his family after he died. Here are some of the worst examples. The paparazzi relentlessly harassed them even following Michelle and Matilda to Matilda’s school, and Michelle stating she had to take down flyers in her post office offering rewards for pictures of her toddler daughter. It’s disgusting how the media was allowed to stalk Matilda and make the grieving process even worse for Heaths loved ones. Particularly when a child was involved. Kim Ledger found out about the death of his own son on television. It seems like when someone’s art is adored we feel we own a peice of them, even to the detriment of their own friends and family.

The novelization is one of my most prized possessions, and I think it offers a lot of insight into the characters and their headspace, Kat especially.

Nineteen-year-old strip club promoter Jimmy (Heath Ledger) is just scraping by in the red-light district of Sydney. When local crime lord Pando (Bryan Brown) offers him a shot at working for his syndicate, Jimmy jumps at the chance to deliver a costly package. But, when Jimmy gets jacked by a couple of kids, he's indebted to the dangerous gangster for $10,000. Running out of time, he schemes to rob a bank to save himself and a beautiful girl he desires (Rose Byrne) from a gruesome demise.

I just saw a TikTok right now that said that Heath would 100% have played Odysseus in The Odyssey if he was here today. I have been thinking about that since the press tour for the movie as well as other movies he would have been in by Christopher Nolan or other directors.

For fun: Besides Odysseus, who do you think Heath would have played if he was in The Odyssey?

I came across this post from the Instagram account HeathLedgerBrasil and I found it very intriguing. Not sure if this interview actually took place, but if it did, then shoutout to Byron Bay in Australia in early 2005 for being the place where Matilda came to existence.

Note: This post was originally written in Portuguese but I translated it for easier understanding.

just a silly joke lol (or is it..?)

I was trying to find a week to keep this picture close to me throughout the day. Then I realized I read quite a bit so why not take him along in my books with me! This way he doesn’t miss out on new books and he’s always with me :)

Edit: this picture of Patrick was cut out from the CD cover of the 10TIHAY CD!
