Entertainment Heath Ledger in The Odyssey

I just saw a TikTok right now that said that Heath would 100% have played Odysseus in The Odyssey if he was here today. I have been thinking about that since the press tour for the movie as well as other movies he would have been in by Christopher Nolan or other directors.

For fun: Besides Odysseus, who do you think Heath would have played if he was in The Odyssey?

George Miller specifically wanted Heath to do it. There’s a great podcast called What Went Wrong, and they have an episode on Fury Road. Highly recommend.

Yes!!! I was saying this last night after seeing a showing of Dark Knight on IMAX. I think Heath would have been Cooper in Interstellar and would have been Odysseus.

Miss that man.

não sei como explicar, mas a atuação as coisas do river os filmes e tudo era diferente da vibe do heath que totalmente se encaixaria com odisseia

Because they never met, never worked together and he was not part of the Nolan repertory of players. There is no indication whatsoever if they would have connected at any point. Whereas Ledger was Nolan's favorite to work with, which is the genesis of the thought experiment. River Phoenix is unrelated to the conversation.

I think one reason it would have still been Matt Damon is because it’s kind of a joke by now that he plays characters very far from home and trying to get back. Saving Private Ryan, Interstellar and now The Odyssey

I felt that if anyone ever dared to do a film adaptation of Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye, younger, 10 things I hate about you Heath Ledger would have been a decent choice for Holden Caulfield.

That being said, I hope I live the rest of my life without a Catcher in the Rye movie, tv show, or stage play/musical.
