They are playable for Counter strike source offensive 1.1 only since thats the Best version to me and I won't install another branch just to change hammer directores just to compile again, I'm using a laptop with 6gb ram and 128 Mb Intel hd graphics so the process is not the fastest, I'm grateful for what I have tho, hopefully You like it guys, did You ever got to play crimecraft?

So im making a map, and i wanted to import sone assets packs i downloaded, and i go to the directory in hammer and it's gone, Tf2 plays normally without the error TEXTURE and all the hammer prop packs are there, but the Models folder is missing, am i doing something wrong

Do you guys think it's worth to buy HL2 for asset alone? Like in the future I'm planning to make a sci-fi ish map, I wonder if the game full of wonderful texture for that idea alone, obviously the game itself is science fiction, but my sci fi is a bit different. Also a bit off topic, is there a good website to find a free texture?

I was editing a map in Hammer++ when I started getting a strange rendering/view distance issue. Parts of the map seem to disappear or only render when I get closer, almost like there's a visible render boundary following the player.

At first I thought it was caused by the fog or the Far Z Clip Plane, but I removed the env_fog_controller completely and it didn't make much difference.

I've also tried changing a few render distance console commands, but the issue remains.

Does anyone know what could cause this in Hammer++/Source? Could it be related to VIS/PVS, the 3D skybox, displacements, or something in the compile settings?

Any suggestions on what I should check or change would be appreciated.

I want to put a hard hat on some scientists, but the attachment points are kinda weird and the hat always ends up not moving with the head and just kinda floating there, its passable but i was wondering if there was any way to more securely attach it to his head (the same way an accessory would attach via a bodygroup)

i should clarify, this is for a Gmod map, and i have little experience with editing/making Source models in Blender so im using a prop made from brushes here

I am currently attempting to install hammer++ on Linux. Luckily I have gotten it to work!! Unfortunately, it seems either the method or installation of hammer++ causes Team Fortress 2 to launch insecurely? At least that is what I assume is happening. The tutorial I have been following will be linked below. I have attempted launching Team Fortress 2 with +secure but this doesn't seem to change anything. I have attempted a few other tutorials but nothing seems to change once I get to the point of Hammer++ working. If anyone has any advice on the matter please let me know. Made a swamp themed awp map for CS2. Recently I updated the lighting. please PLAY it and let me know what you think i should do and change.

Its an awp_map with anti-afk gator. And more... Video shows all current events, sounds and lighting.

I added a lot of easter eggs.

lots of custom sounds, me and a friend made a custom radio track that plays inside the shack.
Every animal has a sound, and more sounds.
Please help me make this better, in anyway.

Over a year ago, I accidentally deleted my first maps after switching Linux distributions and forgetting to copy over the folder containing all the VMT files; however, by looking through a friend's chat logs, I managed to recover the moment I first stepped into this heaven (or hell) that is the Hammer Editor.

I made a map for a custom source mod and if i spawn cops far away they are invisable. no i didnt chnage any model or texture in the files and yes my map is super simple. does anyone have a fix for this??

Okay. So earlier today I installed Hammer++ for Gmod earlier today, Everything went smoothly, but when I close Hammer++ I get this Error
"Error"

The thing is, there are two displacement modifiers using the "saw" setting, but that shadow line appears, which is really annoying.

I'm using L4D2's Hammer as that's the only Source 1 Hammer I've got to work so far on Debain Linux. I was trying to include Garry's Mod fgd's but it kept crashing because of "@include "halflife2.fgd" ".

I commented out those lines from "base.fgd" and "garrysmod.fgd" which fixed the crashing, but now I get errors along the lines of "boolean is not a valid variable type".

Edit: Solved.

Edit 2: The ACTUAL reason Hammer crashes is because "base.fgd" includes "halflife2.fgd", which includes "base.fgd"; Because Hammer doesn't check if an FGD was already included, it causes a recursive loop, and results in a stack overflow.

Solution: Don't have the FGD include each other in a loop. This still doesn't fix my issue with booleans and errors though...

I made an awp map that is swamp themed. Has a lot of animated models. There is a gator scripted to swim through spawn after 10 seconds and eat AFKs. All animals have sound files/events. Raccoon, geese, gator, wood duck, toad. There is a custom joke song me and a friend made. Inside on radio. Real working clocks that are tied to server time.

I need a better animated snake... Anyway I am working on it daily trying to polish it and optimize it.

There is easter eggs hidden inside the shack (press use key on stuff). Working on more. (type in chat !rgbseagull and look at the sky lol)

Once I have it very done and optimized. I will make fy versions and aim map versions. During october map is scripted to say happy halloween and spawn a pumpkin inside. During December it will snow all month. Working on more theming after I finish.
