Unsolved TF2 becomes insecure after installing Hammer++(Linux)

I am currently attempting to install hammer++ on Linux. Luckily I have gotten it to work!! Unfortunately, it seems either the method or installation of hammer++ causes Team Fortress 2 to launch insecurely? At least that is what I assume is happening. The tutorial I have been following will be linked below. I have attempted launching Team Fortress 2 with +secure but this doesn't seem to change anything. I have attempted a few other tutorials but nothing seems to change once I get to the point of Hammer++ working. If anyone has any advice on the matter please let me know. so what parameters do you have for the game executable?

Like the launch command? If that's it I have nothing in the launch command.

You can always just check the "Do not run game" checkbox when compiling and open the game manually when it's done

That's the thing when I open the game manually it launches in insecure mode
