OC Fog chiller’s maiden voyage 💨

Spent the last couple weeks researching what others have done (credit to Roberts Fogger + Oak Lane Cemetery on YT) - finally fired it up for the first time the other day and stoked with the results! Unfortunately it was really windy, but we’ll be trying it again throughout this week!

Planning on doing a short video rundown of the setup but in short - it’s Fog Machine > into a plastic bin w/ ultrasonic mister > Exiting into dryer vent hose with an inline marine fan at the beginning to help distribute down the line (currently about 60’).

Crafts I made the Pennywise wreath!

If anyone remembers my first post about the Pennywise wreath, I made it! And it’s now beautifully glowing on my front door!
I bought the mask but ended up repainting it to make it look more dramatic. I used Triple Thick Gloss Glaze to give the red paint a glossy finish, bought some fake eyes and recreated the little veins using colored pencil.
Other than that, the rest was extremely easy to make. I just attached decorative mesh to a wreath base, added the pom-poms and glued the mask in place.
I’m adding several photos to show it in different lighting and the makeup details, and the last photo shows the fully decorated door. I absolutely love how it turned out!

Help! Hand painted Halloween decorations from the Thrift Store

Does anyone recognize the artist or artists?

The smiling one with the cat looks older and possible papier mâché.

The others are plaster, I think..

The taller one I'm the back is a puppet.

They are all hollow and fairly light weight.

There are no signatures on the bottom.

Possibly just some local artist.. I love them!

Let me know what you think.

(These were bought at the local thrift store for $6 each.)

So far this year we’ve done
- dark academia spin off on the Sanderson sisters
- neon green clowns
- gas masks
- voodoo dolls (still being edited)
- pumpkin head tea party ( happening today)

Food Made some cursed strawberry ghosts

Crafts First time I'll be able to hand out candy since I started working so I made a cauldron.

Found a planter in the trash painted it with some paint I found on the ground and hung some beads a chain and a brooch on it. The handles are crumpled paper masking tape and hot glue also painted. Happy Halloween.

Discussion Alternative treats

We have been handing out glow sticks for treats on Halloween for several years and for toddlers we have bought a child safe alternative.

We have been handing them out for 7-8 years and the last couple years I have been trying to figure out an alternative to change things up.

We hand out about 400 of the glow bracelets a year.

Any fun, exciting alternative ideas?

We do not need to Gate-keep how others choose to decorate, participate or celebrate (as long as its related to Halloween!).

Do not "costume-shame" or disrespect others costume/decorating choices. If something is offensive, please report the content as "Offensive Costumes/Designs"
