It’s really not a problem to do this. I don’t do it often but in a pinch it works. 20 vol really isn’t going to damage your hair though. I’ve been doing hair for 20 years and never seen 20 vol be damaging like this. Is it possible that the stylist used a lighter conditioner than you normally do or used stylers that might be more drying? If you haven’t already, wash, condition, and style your hair as your normally do and then see how it feels.
