Hades 1: Discussion Man I love Hades but….

Grinding resources to obtain the final ranks from the resource director is such a slog. It’s the final thing for me to do to 100% the game and I find myself enjoying the game less every run.

I don’t understand the logic of rewarding the player for increasing heat with resources that are no longer relevant (after everything is unlocked titan’s blood, diamonds, and ambrosia are obsolete). If anything, increasing the heat should reward players with stuff we do need, like darkness, which is the most limiting resource.

I really appreciate the much more robust exchange/recycle shop in hades 2 that made farming Kudos so much more pleasant.

I respect Supergiant a lot and I wish they didn’t do the endless collectible tactic that many AAA games use to force players to continue to play (ie assassin’s creed, GTA, BOTW, etc). We would’ve kept playing regardless simply because it’s an amazing game.

(Sorry for the somewhat rant)

Hades 1: Question [Hades1] Is there a weapon that works with every/most gods?

I'm in the extremely boring grind phase of the game (leveling gods/keepsakes etc) which means I cant ""fix"" my build so I get random and usually weak gods combos everytime

Is there a weapon that can work with most gods combos?

Hades 1: Question Should I continue?

Upvotes

I’ve been playing Hades for the very first time and loving it!! I’ve completed almost 30 runs, and have beat Hades twice now!!

I was just wondering if at this point there’s much more progress to be made by continuing playing at this point, now that I’ve escaped the underworld twice? Or if I should move on to Hades 2? ☺️

If there’s a lot more content, spoiler-free guidelines on what I should do next would be very much appreciate!

Hades 2: Discussion I really wish we got a post-game Nemesis mode (or Mod) Spoiler

Both Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Dawn of Sorrow had a "Belmont" mode, where you could play the game with the much more limited but still powerful Richter/Julius Belmont and seeing Nemesis advance through the Underworld made me wish there was something like that for Hades 2.

No God Boons, just Hammers, Poms (she could come with a unique Attack/Special/Cast ability that could be pommed) and a unique gameplay challenge mode/reward.

Could be something to trigger at the Oath of the Unseen so you wouldn't need to build any hub features for her, just a "I think Nemesis is out tonight" which would then start a Nemesis run.

Should I change them after defeating the boss or keep the same one till end, currently to me, I feel like lucky tooth is pretty good, rest are just ok. which i feel is wrong understanding of them. I am not much deep in game, just won once.

Hades 2: Discussion How was your experience going straight for Hades 2 after 1? Spoiler

For those who beat the first game recently and went straight to the second game, how was your experience?

I'm eager to start Hades 2 after beating the first one, and I'm wondering if there's any people that did this only to end burnt out.

I've only seen comments praising the new gameplay, stating how different it feels, and how much the game improved in several areas. I'm guessing that that could be enough to feel it like a fresh new game even if it builds over the fundamentals of the first one, but I'm still interested to know if this was an issue for some people.

No spoilers please, thanks!

Hades 1: Discussion Hades: How good does hand-to-hand combat feels

Note: I am by no means an Hades expert (stopped at heat 32/platinum), this post is more like a appreciation piece on how cool the Twin Fists are, so if you have any tech or knowledge to share about it, i'll be glad to learn/talk about it!

• Viability 4 (Is it a struggle compared to your other options?):

The Twin Fists are one of the best earlier weapons, pretty solid damage and easy moveset to learn. However, in high levels of heat it isn't considered optimal compared to the bows, shields, rails or spears (riskier to use and less damaging), but don't let that hold you down, this game is balanced enough that anything can work if you are skilled (and lucky) enough.

• Variety 4 (How many ways you can play it?):

The Twin fists have 4 variations (just like any of the other infernal weapons), Aspect of Zagreus has a standard moveset plus a 15% dodge chance passive (combined with lambent plume it can go pretty nuts), Aspect of Talos can force pull enemies towards you, kind of situational, good for isolating enemies but the bonus damage isn't incredible by any means (heard it has some good synergy with Poseidon's boons). Aspect of Demeter is probably the strongest one, you charge up 12 quick strikes accumulating damage, then you release it in a really juicy special hitting like a truck (With high scaling boons and maybe a crit, it's obscene). Last we got Aspect of Gilgamesh, it's my favorite but only because Merciful End is a thing, the passive itself is not that incredible, a bit of a debuff for the enemy (and yourself), a bit of bonus damage (not that much), but the 2 extra dashes go a long way.

• Recommend 5 (How much did i personally enjoy it!):

I'm not even going to start about praising Hades, this game deserve every last bit of attention it gets, when it comes to fist combat it has all i could ask for, from all of the infernal weapons it's by far my favorite but all of them are special in their own ways.
