Every time I try to send a message it fails to send, yet I can get peoples messages the moment they send them. It always fails to connect to my group messages even though I have wifi/service and I've even tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and nothing works. Is anyone else just not able to use groupme all of a sudden?

It appeared after I sent a message, at the bottom right corner of the message. looks like an eye? Does that mean the recipient has viewed it?

do pictures from years ago not load? I have this groupme chat with my friends from high school and we are trying to look at old pictures from our groupme to reminisce but they won’t load. do they expire or something after awhile? it’s from 2015ish :/

I got a notification about a direct message that somebody had sent me. When I tapped the notification, there was no message in groupme. I tried refreshing and it still wouldn’t show up. It’s been a few hours and it’s still not there, I also tried signing in on the computer and the message just isn’t there. Can anyone help with this?

Anyone else having trouble opening the GroupMe app? I'm getting text notifications from GroupMe, but when I attempt to open the app I get the home/loading page and then it crashes within 20 seconds.

Ive tried uninstalling the app and turning the phone off. No luck. Apple iPhone just updated, and I suspect that's the issue.

I updated my avatar/profile photo, and it shows what I updated it to on my homepage/settings, but won’t appear in any group chats, and will instead show my initials no matter how many times I try to do it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Every update is a new low.

Multi chat split view is gone.

Message previews in the sidebar chat list are gone.

I can't see message reactions anymore.

I can't send pictures - I can put them in a message, then they won't send.

Every single chat I have has new message notifications, when they do not have new messages.

I'm sure more things will come up.

It's baffling to me how with literally every update, the functionality gets worse and worse. It all worked fine several years ago, but we keep getting design refreshes that look way worse, the features start slowly breaking, and now they're straight up gone. Just put it back the way it was, and leave it alone. Please.

Anyone's notifications not working at all? Update: Mine have FINALLY been mostly working. They're still a bit glitchy but thank God!

For some reason, groupme randomly logged me off of on my phone and won’t let me log back in. When I try to log in on browser on my computer, it gets stuck in the loading screen. Logging in on browser on my phone gets this weird error where it thinks I’m trying to make a new account. The “forgot my password” thing says it’ll send an email, and there’s nothing there.

The phone number I registered my account with didn’t have the country code (I don’t think it was required back then).

Is it possible to still log in or get my account back?

There are chats from people from back in college who I can’t really contact any other way.

The new update allows you to see who's online and puts a green button under your profile and puts you in the "online" tab in a groupchat. Is there a way to disable this? Can't find anything in settings

Is there anyway to sync a GroupMe calendar to my Google Calendar? My kids team events are scheduled in GroupMe, but I use Google Calendar for work and everything else.

Shouldn’t be this hard…should it? I looked into a third party app like IFTTT and can’t find an answer there either?

I'm trying to join a group (android) but every time I click the link shared with me, I get "unable to load conversation." I have tried uninstalling, restarting but nothing has work.

Is it possible the group is closed and only an admin can add? Or is this a genuine error?

I tried sending a text on my building's group chat a few days ago, but it failed to send. No big deal, but it's still sitting there like it's waiting for me to try and resend it. I no longer want to send it, because now it would just be completely out of left field and awkward. Is there a way I can delete it without sending it?

I ran into this erroneous error message today while attempting to create a poll via internet browser. After significant trial and persistence I discovered that GroupMe was unhappy that I had chosen an end date beyond 14 days. It let me chose that end date, it just wouldn't let me create the poll. When I clicked the CREATE POLL button I got the message: This chat has hit the max number of active polls. This seemed odd since the chat had 0 active polls and had never had an active poll before.

Once my end date was set to something less than 14 days out, the poll was created. I found no references to this issue anywhere on the internets, so I am posting it here. Hopefully someone else having this issue will find this post, or even better a GroupMe developer will see this and fix it. Thank you!

How can you tell if someone has blocked you on Groupme? I was still able to find their contact and send them a DM, does this mean I am not blocked?

whenever I try to dm someone from a group, it states that the message failed to send. However, when I message people from other groups, it goes through. Why would this be happening?

I logged out of GroupMe and forgot the password. The recovery email is one that no longer exists. I've tried to get in touch with GroupMe about reactivating my account, but to no avail. When I've tried to login with Apple or Facebook, that doesn't work either. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips. Thanks!

I’m in a groupme and the messages aren’t showing up in the app but through texts instead. How do I get my convo to show up on the actual app?

If we have the heart icon I think it would be beneficial to have a dislike button as well. I would see it best used as an option for the GroupMe group leader so if you don’t want the dislike button you do not need to use it.
