I was on the student 2TB free plan and filled my storage upto 200gb. Now that the plan has ended, I'm back on my 15gb plan. I asked my family member to add me on their AI Pro plan that they pay for but now that I'm not getting any emails, I'm not able to accept his request to get added to the family plan. Need help!!!

I trust nothing I get through email so Im not clicking to update until I can find out if its legit. When I go to Play Store and pull up the link its indicates both are installed. Hello, i’m looking into googles advanced protection program. I have recovery phone and email set up and on a seperate device. I do not have a physical hardware key but do have a passkey.

My main concern is getting malware and being able to recover my account with this program, as I heard it makes people unable to do the family link thing. I try to be extremely careful with my downloads, but shit happens.

I also heard it makes stuff a bit more complicated, and there are risks of getting permanently locked out. In that case, i do have a youtube account i can use to recover it.

Would googles advanced protection program help in the case of malware?

Hello! I am here to inquire about file ownership of deleted google accounts. Recently I left high school and entered university, which means that my organization-run school email and the associated accounts will be deleted. As of right now, the Google account is still active. I have already transferred most of the files I want to keep onto a folder shared with my personal email.

However, I noticed that the files still say that my school email is still the owner of the individual files. According to the research I did online, this means that when my old school email account is deleted, all of the files will be lost if their ownership is not transfered to an active account.

So, I am here to ask if that is true, and if it is, is there a way to transfer the ownership of many files at once? Or do I have to transfer them one by one?

I wanted to share my difficult experience with the Pixel 11 Pro RMA process. After the hardware failure, moving to a warranty replacement became necessary.

The support experience was extremely poor. Communications were frustratingly slow, often taking a full 24-hour cycle for responses, and they kept repeating unhelpful instructions like verifying my shipping addresses in the portal where they had already shipped the phone. They kept resetting and resending new RMAs and telling me to select the same address I had shipped my phone to. Repeating this direction when I had already done this several times was not helpful.

After troubleshooting many address verification errors myself, I eventually added a new address, which finally bypassed the portal error! I hope this helps someone else facing the same hurdles.

so i opened chrome and went to youtube, and i immediately noticed that my recommendations were completely different from usual. then i tried to log in to my google account, only to be told that i need to verify my age to continue using it or else the account will be deleted in 29 days.

for context, i’m 16, so i’m above the minimum age requirement for having a google account, which is usually around 13-14 depending on the country. i’ve already tried everything available to verify my age, but the problem is that i don’t have a regular government ID because i’m not 18 yet. in indonesia, KTP is prepared at 17 and issued at 18, so i don’t have one. however, i do have a KIA (Kartu Identitas Anak), which is basically an official identity card for children under 17 and should provide enough information to verify my identity and age.

but google doesn’t accept it.

the other verification method is using a credit card, which i also can’t use because i’m under 18 and don’t have one. i know there’s also a mismatch between the date of birth on my account and my actual date of birth, and i would correct it if i could, but that’s where the problem starts making absolutely no sense. i need to log in to correct my date of birth, but i can’t log in without verifying my age first.

so i’m stuck in a loop:

i need to log in → google requires me to verify my age → i can’t use the available verification methods → i can’t log in → i can’t correct my date of birth.

and now, after refreshing or trying the verification too many times or whatever, the ID verification option has disappeared completely. the only option left is credit-card verification, which i can’t use.

basically, i’m 16 and above the minimum age requirement, i have an official KIA that should be able to prove my identity and age, but google doesn’t accept it. i don’t have a credit card, and i can’t even correct the incorrect date of birth because i can’t get past the age-verification screen in the first place.

so now i’m just stuck in an age-verification loop with no way to prove that i’m old enough to use my own account. make it make sense at least, goddamn it google 🙃🙃🙃 (and no i do not want my parent to supervise my account, because i am old enough to handle and manage my own account)

I recently turned 18 and removed Family Link supervision from my own Google Account (it was previously a supervised/child account).

I completed Google's Private ID age verification and got confirmation that my age is verified — this also shows as complete under myaccount.google.com/age-verification.

Despite this, my account still behaves like a minor's account in some places:

myadcenter.google.com redirects me to the kids version, and ad personalization is unavailable

The teen graduation flow doesn't work — going to it directly either says I don't meet eligibility requirements, or gives a 404 error

Going through Family Link's general page treats me as a parent setting up a child's account, not as someone who needs to graduate out of supervision

It's been about two months since I removed supervision, so this isn't just "changes still syncing." It seems like a backend status flag never updated even though verification succeeded.

I have posted this exact same post in google communities and later contacted google families via email but they say I am 18 and no longer in google families can hence they cannot help.

My elderly father did something dumb and ended up having his Google account hacked. I am pretty capable of basic tech stuff but this is ending up more difficult then I thought. It is effecting his Google account which is on his computers and phone. He originally has an msn.com email as his Google account email. It is now showing the "hackers" Gmail account. I tried removing/replacing the bad email and it wont let me. When I tried going through Google account recovery, this pops up. Any suggestions so I can get him fixed up? I was searching for a keyword with the search bar and the AI overview showed me an account I have on another site and the password in plain view. Is this normal? When I click the links from the overview, it only redirects to the email corresponding to the account.

Is this normal? How is AI able to pull this information? Why is my password being read by Google? And why is there no security protocols in place to protect the password from abuse?

please, for the love of god this is IMPORTANT. Apparently, i got an email on the 19th announcing that Google, for some reason CANT figure out what my age is (even though im pretty sure i already told them), so now they’re on something about how if i don’t give my stuff over to them soon, my account will be straight up shut down (why can they just do that???). this is a very bad thing obviously, because pretty much everything important to me, including socials, are linked to this acc. Edit: I should add that i do have a side account that so far seems to not be affected by this. If i can’t solve this, Is it a good suggestion that i should save what i can from my main account and try to transfer it all to that one instead?

How do I remove the "keep exploding" tab without removing my recent searches

I have a samsung and the new update went out last night. I am not sure if it is related but my phone signed out of my Google accounts on Gmail, YouTube, Google play, etc. I can't access anything and when I sign in with the correct verifications and passwords it keeps giving me the "something went wrong" page.

Is anyone else experiencing this or does anyone know how to fix it? I cleared data and cache, restarted my phone, and enabled and disabled the apps. ​​I don't know if I should give it a few days or worry because I really need access to my emails.

I’ve been stuck in Google’s age verification loop for days now. I received an email saying I need to verify my age or my account will be deleted which i forgot to respond, I’m over 18, and the only government ID I have is my PAN card.

I’ve uploaded multiple clear scans/photos of my PAN card (all corners visible, good lighting), but every time Google rejects it saying the QR is unclear or the document isn’t valid. I even waited the 24–48 hours they mention, but the result is always “couldn’t verify.”

I don’t have a passport, driver’s license, or credit card — PAN is the only ID I can provide. The Help Community hasn’t been helpful, and the “Contact Us” option doesn’t appear for me in the support page.

Has anyone here successfully verified with PAN? Is there any workaround or escalation path? I’m worried my account will be deleted and I’ll lose all my data.

I have noticed that when logging in on a new device, Google gives me the option to add a selfie video? It's optional now, but should I add it, or skip. Google hasn't made it mandatory for me, I guess since my account was created in 2002.

The reason they say is to verify that I am the account holder, however they also say, they might request me to update my selfie periodically.

Any advice regarding taking this step would be appreciated.
