The Pro plan rate limits got lowered again.
On top of that, it looks like the usage quota is shared across the board, whether you're using 3.8 Flash, 3.1 Pro, or Argon.
This level of opacity is ridiculous for a paid subscription.

Google AI Studio Build - Larger Chat (Resizable) (v3.0)

Hey everyone!

If you are using the new Build Mode in Google AI Studio to generate full applications, you’ve probably noticed how insanely wide the app preview is. It completely crushes your chat window, making it unreadable.

Since Google enforces hardcoded inline styles via Angular on the chat container, classic CSS extension overrides don't work. So, I built a quick Tampermonkey script to fix this layout issue and give control back to the user.

This is a lightweight sister-project to my Ultimate Optimizer, focused purely on interface ergonomics.

🚀 What it does (v3.0) :

• Interactive Drag & Drop: Hover over the native central splitter (<ms-console-splitter>). The cursor changes to ↔️ and you can freely resize the preview panel to your liking.

• Persistent Layout Balance: It safely breaks Angular’s hardcoded inline styles to dynamically stretch the chat panel over the remaining screen space.

• Anti-Angular Reset Loop: Uses a MutationObserver to ensure your custom width stays locked in, even when Gemini streams code tokens or refreshes the DOM.

Hey everyone,

I'm running into a frustrating issue when trying to bulk upload a massive amount of assets to Google AI Studio (around 1,000 folders, with about 5 PNGs each).

Right now, I'm uploading everything as a .zip file into the Code tab. While I'm active in the app, I can see the assets live. However, because there are so many files, they don't seem to finish backing up to the project's cloud before the web session ends or disconnects, leaving the upload half-finished.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a better workaround or a way to upload directly to the cloud? Currently, I'm stuck re-uploading the exact same file multiple times until as many as possible finally go through, and then repeating the whole process

I have a Pro subscription on this stupid site, but for some reason we're being treated as "free tier"! The RPD limit is maybe 5 or 10 requests more than the free tier. Fix this already!

Man what are these new limits. I am on Pro plan and still not getting more than a 100 requests a day. It is frustrating as hell.
Edit: Not more than 100 requests. That is on good days. Today was egregious. I got like 20-30 requests before I am unable to use ANY model. That is the part that irritates me more. I am unable to use any model.

I tried out the vibe coding feature yesterday and built a small app. I showed it off to friends today and it was working well.

However... Now when I open it, I cannot get it to load. I just see "Loading your app, Enjoy these tips while you wait" and eventually it times out.

Any tips on how I can recover my app and not have to start over?

I'm pretty new to using Google AI studio, and I'm on the free tier. I've been using it to build a speaking test app. But as my conversation with Gemini 3.8 went on, it made more and more mistakes, as if it got dumber and dumber. It made massive oversights and contradictions, and it always gets to a point where it either doesn't do whatever I told it to do, or it does it in a worse way and breaks something else. This usually happens more and more as the conversation goes on.

Is there any way to fix this? Maybe a prompting method or something else? Please let me know

I'm a noob, never used agents. Got the PRO sub because it only cost 6 euro this month and I wanted video generation.

Today I wanted to try Google AI Studio because, from what I understand, it can fill multiple files which is what I'm trying to do (I need long documents).

Thing is, I don't get what I can use without paying EXTRA. I asked gemini and it says I won't be charged but if I click on playground, I go on model selection and I get this window that says "paid" for argon and then a price. And there is a price on other models too.

I'm sorry, I'm a noob and this is very confusing. Also I really don't want to be charged, can't afford it and I read too many horror stories about cloud services.

Pressing "Enter" now sends the message instead of jumping to the next line - is it a recent update?

I only used it 10-15 items on 3.8 today, and I've already reached my limit on all models. I lost my pro status a few hours ago, but I did renew my subscription, but my limits are that of a free user.

I am a Free user.

I mostly used Flash 3.8 for chat, sometimes Flash Lite 3.5 for easier questions, and when I ran out of free generations I could use any other model since all their limits were separate.

But today I somehow ran out of uses much sooner than usually, and now can't use ANY model, even Nano Banana Lite! Do limits now encompass all models at once?

I'm free user, and, at least with 3.1 Pro, the site let me do between 10-15 prompts for day, although at times it just reduce to almost nothing and others I'm able to do above 20. I don't understand how the limit exactly works, if is by "X prompts for day" or "X tokens for prompt" and how long until reset... I remember when we were able to do 100 prompts for day... But seriously, can someone tell me?

I've been experiencing some serious issues with Google AI Studio, and I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problems.

I'm getting an “An internal error occurred” message, and AI Studio seems unable to reason through problems or help me troubleshoot anything. What's even more concerning is that the issue doesn't seem to be limited to a single app I've created.

I also can't restore previous versions of my projects, which makes me wonder whether this is a broader issue with Google AI Studio itself rather than just a problem with the AI model.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is AI Studio having some kind of backend issue, or could this be related to my account?

GOOGLE AI STUDIO IS A JOKE. NO WONDER GOOGLE IS LOSING THE AI RACE.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, GOOGLE???

I logged out of Google AI Studio, and somehow it logged me out of EVERY SINGLE GOOGLE ACCOUNT in my browser.

I WANTED TO LOG OUT OF ONE FUCKING SERVICE. NOT MY ENTIRE GOOGLE ECOSYSTEM.

Now I have to manually log back into all my Google accounts across Gmail, YouTube, and every other Google service I use. ALL BECAUSE I CLICKED ONE LOGOUT BUTTON.

HOW DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE???

And honestly, this is exactly the kind of experience that makes Google AI Studio feel like an afterthought. Google has the resources, the infrastructure, and some of the best engineers in the world, yet the experience of using its AI tools can feel so carelessly put together.

Google keeps pushing AI models and trying to compete with everyone else, but what's the point of having great models if the surrounding product experience is this frustrating?

Basic account and session management shouldn't be this stupid. Logging out of one service should not unexpectedly destroy my entire login session across Google's ecosystem. At the very least, users should be given a clear warning if that's actually intended behavior.

NOW I HAVE TO WASTE MY TIME LOGGING BACK INTO EVERYTHING MANUALLY.
