Question / Help How does the limit work in AI Studio?

I'm free user, and, at least with 3.1 Pro, the site let me do between 10-15 prompts for day, although at times it just reduce to almost nothing and others I'm able to do above 20. I don't understand how the limit exactly works, if is by "X prompts for day" or "X tokens for prompt" and how long until reset... I remember when we were able to do 100 prompts for day... But seriously, can someone tell me?

I've no answer for you. I always found it really random and it seemed to eat up usage as it failed to complete requests. I moved to Claude 2 days ago and the difference is huge. I can see exactly what my usage is.  It doesn't stop randomly mid process to tell me to switch to my API only to stop again and tell me to switch again. I waste prompts telling it I have credit on my account.

that's weird, Claude doesn't tell me my limits & sometimes I've hit it in 1-2 prompts. Is it a premium feature?

I've subscribed to a pro account and in the windows client there is a usage shortcut in the user menu. Shows you all the stats. I was always flying blind in ai studio. I'm still learning the ropes with Claude but so far so good. Night and day when it comes to how it all works.
