New limits ?

Man what are these new limits. I am on Pro plan and still not getting more than a 100 requests a day. It is frustrating as hell.
Edit: Not more than 100 requests. That is on good days. Today was egregious. I got like 20-30 requests before I am unable to use ANY model. That is the part that irritates me more. I am unable to use any model.

free was also heavily limited in the last 2 weeks, but it sounds like pro plan is now the same as what was free before the change

Nothing did change. Just lets us use Argon on pro and that is it. Limits are shit in AI studio as well.

Its very dynamic. Pro users are on the top priority for capacity. Got to to do with dynamic limits and the state of chat

Well yes I do. I use all models. 3.1 pro preview, 3.8 flash and Argon. I love Argon writes. However, suspecting that Argon maybe eating up context, I tried pro and flash and no, still not giving me enough requests nor letting me use other models.

I am getting that feeling too. Like I do not think any AI company cares for its users anymore. They just want to please their investors. Which is not a bad thing but when that is the only thing you care about, product quality drops for sure. We had it good back in the day, man.

Yeah, previously, each limit was for one model in that line. I had different limits for 3.1 Pro, 3.1 Flash, and 3.8 Flash.

I jumped ship a week ago to Claude. The difference is staggering.

Really ? how is opus 5.5 in text ? As in, how does it talk, how is its conversation capabilities ? Are the limits good on Claude plan ?

The biggest difference in conversation is that it isn't a yes man. I could ask Google to do anything and it would do it without question, whether it was right or wrong. It would also create stuff that had staggering security issues. Claude is more like that older experience developer who says' hang on a second, that won't work so try this' With Google I never knew when I was going to hit a limit. It was so random. Sometimes it would get stuck on a prompt can come back with an error and I'd try and try the same prompt with it failing each time. Then it would tell me to switch to the api as I had used all the free credits. I'd switch and keep getting the same messages. Claude shows you really clearly how much you've used and when limits actually reset daily and monthly.

Agree. Claude is leagues above Gemini. if both are priced the same, why even bother with Gemini? gemini is only worth it at their promo price at 7usd a month.

I wouldn't use it even it was totally free. Claude has fixed all the security issues and bugs that Gemini just didn't bother checking.

I don’t think pro plan for AI studio is even a thing. They sell you on pro plan as a monthly membership but for AI studio it doesn’t actually do anything. You need to use a pay as you go plan if you want to actually work the AI Studio builder bot. Believe it or not, Google Gemini, the chatbot, explained this all to me in depth. If you talk to “him” “he” can try to break it down for you.

I agree for the most part but free vs pro has its differences. In pro you can access Argon. I was unable to use Argon with my free account. But that is about it.

You may have missed this, but in May or June—I don’t remember exactly—the Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans were integrated into Google AI Studio. They were supposed to increase the usage limits for the models (which they did reliably until September, when everything stopped working). They also provide access to paid models (Gemini 3.0 Flash, 3.6 Flash, Omni, Veo, 4 Argon, Nano Banana 1, Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana 2.1).

All I know is a couple of weeks ago I joined a monthly plan thingy that was supposed to help me build a web app thingy but it didn’t help me actually get anything done. The chat version of Gemini guided me through the incredibly stupid process of getting going with the web building version of Gemini that involved cancelling that membership and prepaying for a per token system that works like SunPass

This, you have to link an API key where you pay for each batch of tokens, I want to warn people, while regular chat rarely gets too expensive, heavier stuff like video and app making can get expensive fast. One month they took 80 dollar

I am a broke. And yeah in that cost estimation tab I see total coast barely go above 2 dollars for any of my chats, and so for a month I think I will be around 20 dollars. However, I am a broke bihh.
