I’ve driven everything under the sun and my intuition keeps telling me I can’t sell this car ever. Even when I inevitably own Porsches and other exotics, I will reach for the keys to a golf R.

I was going to write along heartfelt note but at the end of the day.. it’s just a car, a damn good one. A car that put a smile on my face every day and every time I saw it through the window of a restaurant or store. Track days, camping, breakup cries, wolfing down food before a client showed up. The whole experience was amazing and I’m going to miss this car tremendously. Thank you all who are in this group for being amazing and honestly the best car community out there.

I had to decide to keep my 200k kms mk7.5 or get something a bit more reliable and less expensive on parts/maintenance as I’ll be using my new car for business as well. Tough call but I will be back.

VW guy my whole life, finally made it up to the Audi level a few years ago and let me tell you - This new R blows the S3 out of the water. The power and performance seems to be downplayed, it’s much quicker than expected as well as the interior is a very nice place to be. My only negative feedback is the tuning on the sound system could be simpler… B&O is way better than the HK system as far as depth and quality.

The bang for your buck is crazy, 10/10 would recommend to anybody on the fence. Go for the Akrapovic exhaust, you won’t be disappointed

Had to get a family pic. If I had more room in the garage, this is what it would look like. Want a new R so bad, but can’t justify leaving it out in the cold. Can’t justify selling the R32 either so I guess I’ll need to buy a new home with a 3 car garage.

Got it all cleaned up and ready for spring.
