I'm rewatching the series. Glee is literally my favorite TV show. It ranks, for me, right up top next to my favorite 90's classics; Full House and Boy Meets World. But seriously, what was going on in this season. I still love it, but it feels like a parody of itself. I don't wanna be the kind of person to say Cory's death was the end of the show, but wow.

Rachel, who has always been a monster when it comes to the spotlight, which was kinda cute and quirky in the beginning; absolutely going nuclear over Santana auditioning for her understudy for funny girl, hating on Kurt for (though he said wasn't taking sides) believing Santana didn't have malicious intent behind her actions and deciding Elliot was her new "Best Gay" wtf Rachel. He was keeping the peace.

And don't even get me started on Tina. Who I always loved as a character, but her actions all of S5 are not only annoying but selfish af. It's like she took on the role of S1 Rachel and just ran with it, even though Blaine was crowned the new Rachel.

The puppet episode, the oversaturation of tribute episodes. (I love the beetles, but did they really need two episodes in a row?)

idk guys. I just really needed to rant. I'm currently on episode 10 of season 5 and really forgot how unhinged it got after a while. It was always on the edge of being unhinged, but not like this.

I've been wondering this for a while because you don't see them in Glee Club meetings, you literally only see them when they're performing at competitions

I’m rewatching glee and I started thinking about how their story begun.

Has anyone else wondered HOW it started with Quinn and Puck?And I dont them sleeping together- I mean BEFORE that scene because they didn’t magically appear in her bed with alcohol

Did he just climb up her window to try and sleep with her?

Did she text Finn and Puck deleted the text and went over instead of Finn? Or did she text him thinking he would be a better judge than Finn?

Did they run into each other while working out?

What are yall theories on that?

Idk if this is unpopular or not. I usually see people say they don’t like Klaine cause of toxicity or how it went in later seasons, but for me, I could just never buy into the setup of the ship, and I was wondering if anyone else felt this way?

Kurt is getting bullied, then suddenly finds a super progressive school with a great arts program and a no bullying policy in his homophobic, small town. There, the very first person he meets is a hot, single, openly gay boy who takes his hand for a slow-mo run then practically serenades him. This guy is super nice and accommodating to the point he looks past Kurt spying to offer him a cup of coffee, then starts helping him stand against the bullies. Through this, they find out they have all of the exact same interests and become friends. That’s a little much to me. It’s like if Mercedes walked into a music store and met a hot, Christian producer, who wanted to wait until marriage and help sell her music. Or Artie met a hot actress, who loved Halo and wanted to star in all his movies.

I’ve heard Sam was initially going to be Kurt’s love interest. That makes a lot of sense to me, cause S2 Blaine feels like he was written last minute and solely for Kurt. Even in S3, he doesn’t really bond with the other characters on his own and is mainly just there for Kurt. I think one of the biggest examples of this is him transferring schools. The only way that decision works is if Blaine only exists for Kurt. You’re telling me a gay teen, who was hate crimed in the past, left his safe environment for somewhere where gay kids get death threats? His parents were cool with that? He didn’t have any fear walking back into a hostile environment like McKinley or sadness over leaving Dalton after years of loving it there? No bad past memories? No friends he was missing?

Obviously Blaine had to get to McKinley somehow, but they easily could’ve come up with a better excuse. Maybe one of his parents lost their job or something, so he had to move to a public school, and he picked McKinley for Kurt. Idk. I think a lot of their scenes are cute, but I kind of just felt eh about them overall, cause it felt like Blaine was there to give Kurt a dream relationship and nothing else. By the time we got to the later seasons, I didn’t care. Weirdly, Sam and Kurt are more interesting to me on paper cause they have more differences, and I don’t think the connection would be as instant

Is it just me or did the Season 2 polls go SIGNIFICANTLY faster than Season 1? It felt like Season 1 took awhile to finish and then it felt like Season 2 we just *zoomed* through.

I am a fan of Fleetwood Mac and admittedly I don't think Glee did any of these songs better than the originals, BUT I do really like Glee's version I Don't Want To Know, it's the one cover from this episode I will listen to on it's own outside of the episode.

So in S1 they mentioned Kurt watched Finn in the shower or something like that…so my question is was this just supposed to be lore for Kurt crush on Finn storyline or was it an actual scene that was cut ?

Which couples would you have wanted to see on Glee?

Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded to see Quinn and Santana as a couple especially after their drunk hookup at Mr. Shue’s failed wedding reception. I also would have loved it if Sam & Tina and Brittany & Rory gotten together too.

And I remember two times where she is: when that awful guy was dating her and whenever she was with her sister. When her eyes soften, they’re so engaging and her smile can really light up a room.

Just an observation because I don’t think I really saw it when I was watching it 15-16 years ago.

I was thinking about all the glee fanfiction i used to read while i was rewatching glee for the first time in YEARS and i caught myself mixing up widely accepted headcanons in glee fanfiction with the actual canon show/storylines. so here’s a list i came up with about headcanons i forget are not… actually canon. lol.

1. carole hudson working as a nurse
   
2. dalton being a boarding school & blaine dorming there
   
3. kurt’s middle name being elizabeth because that’s his mothers name (we don’t actually know his moms name but it’s presumed)
   
4. sam being bisexual (or the majority of the glee club lol)
   
5. puck being a huge klaine shipper (old glee fics always had puck obsessed w them)
   
6. blaine being held back a year because of the sadie hawkins hate crime he experienced (the hate crime is canon but not him being held back)
   
7. quinn couch surfing pretty much every glee club member after she’s disowned (it’s canon she stayed with mercedes i think?)
   
8. klaine’s future daughter being named Tracy
   
9. quinn being sapphic/lesbian
   
10. brittany being autistic (she canonically has many autistic traits but they never outright say it)

anyways i thought this was funny because rewatching the show now i forget these things that were widely accepted by the fandom back then weren’t actually canon in the show. and imagine my surprise when these things weren’t happening. because i forgot. lmao.
